Vol III | Chapter XIX

Author Announcement,

I owe my stories some updates, and to the hopeful readers that have been waiting, therefore to that I give you a chapter!

However, I will remain busy and if I can help it then I will try to write another chapter as I can, but it would be more as if 'trying to update it' rather than 'as fast as I can' so that I can maintain whatever sense of story development feels raw.

Although, I know that I have messed up in some parts already. But live and learn, and hopefully I get better at fanfiction and keeping respective characters kept to their personality and quirks.

Lastly, I'm moving yet again to another platform, but I will still update the stories here so nothing to be alarmed. It's called: penana.com

Anyways, enjoy the chapter! You don't have to vote, but the story would appreciate it!

With a tall structure and an imposing presence, Trazyn indifferently stares at the men that were cowering before him - their legs trembling and lips quivering - as he waits for their answer.

"T-the Justice League..."

It was so poorly said that the Necron would have not heard it, if he was not already so eager and interested acquiring information at supposedly places and people that could possess artifacts that he may want for his own.

The Necron was silent as he listened and pondered, the situation at Earth was almost cosmically a bad joke that would have had the Necron give out a hearty laugh, a planet of humans protected by a group of xeno or mutants.

But that was not all that he was intrigued by, since it also proves certain theories that he has formulated ever since he arrived 'here' to wherever the planet was in the cosmos.

"Are we free to leave?"

A man asks despite being such a coward, and in response Trazyn took a step closer - his tall structure towering over the man - before he demanded yet another question.

"Previously, you mentioned a 'bat' that has all sorts of trinkets, and artifacts."

The last part that the Necron mentions was soundly emphasized, and although a cowardly man he was not a slow wit, so at once he starts with a stutter and then an answer that would appease whatever monster that had massacred the whole crew with ease that the imposing entity was.

"Y-yes! The Batman, it has been going around that he keeps all strange artifacts from around the world, and some even say that he is keeping artifacts that are other worldly and may belong so; if the rumors hold any truth."

With him on his knees - still cowering and trembling - he lowered his eyes to the ground before he took a glimpse at the Necron, before he could process that the man beside him had just been beheaded - and that he had not even noticed until it fell with a thud - and the neck spurting blood as it pools around the body.

Surprised by the sudden execution, he whimpers and falls back in fear as he stares at the Necron approaching him, which causes him to scurry back until his back meets the wall - and all he could do was watch the terrifying entity come at him - before he hears a mocking laugh from it.

"Your words carry a bit of truth, even if baseless, as opposed to those that remain silent and useless. You are useful alive, rather than the other that was just a waste of space even breathing, death serves more useful to him but not you."

Although the man was certain that the entity before him was anything but capable of being merciful, and if not mentally screwed with whatever it is capable of doing to him, the man hoped that at least he would keep his head intact.

"Tell me where Batman is the Batman?"

With a face for a metal and unexpressive, it was difficult to note if after answering the question that would be followed with his head being decapitated, although what else could he possibly do against an overly empowering and lunatic entity.

"He is in Gotham City..."

He could do nothing but die as his service was given thanks, and he watches on as his head flies and then falls to the ground. The man was speechless and beheaded, but the mouth continued to open and close like a gaping fish out of water, and eyes wide and moving still despite being removed from the body.

However, instead of being left for dead. The Necron had a devious plan for the body.

After having fled to the large sewers of Gotham, the guardsmen and the notorious criminal vigilante stop for a moment for a chat.

Although still suspicious about their newly acquired ally, it would seem that the man would have to introduce himself before anything else could be talked about, and as if having read her thoughts the man started.

"Name's Jason, the Red Hood. You look like someone who's not afraid to get their hands dirty. We might just get along. What's your story, pal?" Jason extends a hand, and supposed that the introduction was enough, and certainly better than most of the heroes with a direct approach and an admittance to getting their hands dirty, Masha captures the handshake.

"Watchmaster 057299-3287, Masha."

At Masha's introduction, Hylric followed the example and introduced himself, and even surprisingly initiated to shake hands, especially when Jason figured that the grenadier would not be fond with the idea of shaking hands with him.

"So I finally got the chance to meet the people that have been on the news ever since their arrival. But someone else wants to meet you, both."

With the pleasantries done, Jason immediately got to the point, and continued to elaborate. "Do you recall Agent Liberty, the man that you met before in the battle that concluded with you and Batman nearly suspending you to more jail time."

Jason scoffed at the mention of 'jail time' before he received a firm nod of agreement from both the Watchmaster and Grenadier at recalling the man that had saved them from a time of 'jail' in Batman's prison.

"Well, the Director of the United States Bureau of Alien Affairs; would like to meet the guardsmen of the Imperium."
