With the help of the Justice League, their assistance has offered a brief respite among the many people that went out on rescue operations. But despite their super strength and abilities;

The invasion still continued on with its large onslaught and snowballing momentum.

"–Supposedly we have one shotgun and that's it! Fuck you!" and the officer cut communication with headquarters, as frustrated as he was.

But stressed as he was and his fellow officers; Chad and William, his outburst must have alarmed the petrified civilians and had been curious enough to ask. "Sorry officer, but excuse me… will help soon be here?"

A woman appearing to be in her mid-30s questioned with hope gleaming in her eyes, that they will be rescued from their terrifying situation. But when the officer became hesitant to offer a comment, she understood their peril, and the glimmer of hope in surviving the catastrophe plummeted.

Until a brief trace of light entered the room in a quick dash that made it obvious who it was; The Flash.

"Alright! Everyone settle around, I will make this speech fast; the old and the children would be the priority, then the rest of you. Now give me a moment with the officer."

At the officer's mention, Charlie met with the Flash as the Superhero talked to him. "I saw the situation outside; it's dire, but your buddies are doing all they can out there. Now I need time – there's a lot of people here and I can only carry one at a time to the police station – so I need you to help get me more time. Can I count on it?"

"You got it, but make it quick." Charlie emphasized, and though he said less the Flash knew the time and the manpower is not on their side.

As the situation couldn't be worst, the officers that have been guarding the outer defenses yelled out as he and William bolted. "Bastards broke through, here catch – and load that shotgun with the remaining shells" In Chad's haste he threw the weapon that Charlie caught.

"William we'll hold the lines while you prepare the secondary barricades! We'll keep them off you so work fast!"

While seconds were spent protecting the civilians and heightening their defenses, the Flash made fast work on the rescue as the people began to rejoice that it might not be their time just yet. But despite their greatest effort to repel and hold the enemy's advances, it just proved too much to handle.

"William! These androids are gaining ground on us! Are the second layer defenses done yet?!" Chad yelled out in frustration as he ducks his head. But in a split moment, he had just witnessed Charlie having half of his chest blown to bits. With a sunken heart and the irresistible urge to puke at the gory sight – he couldn't be more glad to hear that he could retreat.

"Done! I'm done! Get both of your asses here!"

With one final look with tear-stained eyes and a dreadful sense of fear, he bid his partner last goodbyes as he bolted. As he jumps across the defensive layers, he was met with confused eyes and then the realization that struck them. "Fucking damn it!" William in a fit of a mixture of sorrow and rage began to aim and open fire on the androids.

In their final defense, and with no further room to retreat, the officers valiantly held the lines in screaming rage for their duty and fallen. It wasn't until Flash tapped them that the officers realized all the civilians have been saved.

'Looks like we did it…'

"Alright fellas, it's time to pay them back." Flash returned with a serious expression, battle-ready as he couldn't wait to pay the androids a little retribution.

In another similar situation…

"Shit! I am nearly out of ammo! Troy, how about you?!" an officer yelled out to his partner as he hid behind his cover, under the immense bullets that rain heavily at his position. "Do I look like I carry a cache of ammo, John?!" the man shouted back with the same rigorous frustration as he was suppressed to take cover.

"Hey they're getting closer Troy!" John further argues as he returned fire to the enemy.

"Mother fucker I know bitch! I can hear their heavy fat legs stepping all over!" as the two officers continued their loud bickering, survivors behind them have begun to cower in fear and dread. Until the terrifying ringing of gunfire came to an abrupt stop.

"Well I'll be damned, our asses saved by Wonder Woman herself." Troy held a relieved smile on his face as he emerged from his cover, while his partner simply fell onto his ass to take a respite at the stressful situation mere seconds ago.

Nodding at the compliment, she then immediately looked to and approached the fear-stricken civilians – their dreadful expression reminding her of the times she had bore witness to the unfortunate civilians when she had been introduced to the World of Man.

As she comforted the survivors and ushered them along, she gave a faint smile to each and everyone before she addressed the officers. "Is this the whole survivors that you have been able to group around this area?"

"No ma'am, we haven't checked on over in that distract yet. Worth a look to find any stranded survivors."

At the officer's answer, Diana gave her thanks before she moved along without further delays.

Having arrived at the said location, it was then when Diane stumbled across struggling survivors who ran in an attempt to escape the androids that took chase.

It wasn't then long when the battle was concluded.

As the last battered and beaten android performed a pathetic attempt to neutralize the hero – to finish its programmed mission – its system failed to endure the striking damage; and dies.

"A-are the monsters gone?"

A terrified child spoke up as he held on to the small hands of his younger sister. At the sight of them, Diane turned a change of heart as her hardened face became soft and loving. "The monsters are gone little ones, you're safe now." Wonder Woman comforted the children as she offered a reassuring smile, which have been reciprocated by the young boy and girl.

But it wasn't until it looked like the girl nearly forgot something and reminded her older brother, surely not that older than her. "Thank you for saving us! B-but we were actually looking for our missing dad who was with us to go to the police station. Can you help us find him?"

The young and polite boy pleaded as he looked worried that he would be rejected for the needed aid. "I will look for him, don't worry. But I need you two and the others kept safe – so I will take you to the police station and wait there while I find your dad, is that good?"

Then without missing a beat, both of the children beamed with intense joy and relief as their dark brown eyes looked with admiration at the Superhero.

Frantic pants escape the man's mouth as he ran, that he tripped in his rush to evade a 'menace' that produced a sense of indescribable intent. In his crash to the rough disheveled ground, he turned to look back at his pursuer who simply walked with grace and elegance as though it was in control.

"No, please! Have mercy! I have children, a boy, and a girl! Please-"

Blood splattered as his head exploded – leaving its matters stained to the walls and ground wherever it spread.

'It seems I stand correct. This is a human world, split from the Imperium in the Age of Strife, and further in such case thrust into a different dimension – a separate realm where the Chaos Gods and the Man-Emperor hold no presence here…'

The tall menacing cyborg stood in silence until he let a hearty laugh; delighted as he pondered the case.

'How much adventure and fun I will have! To explore a newfound galaxy – the richness it must have in store! Oh, how many artifacts and beautiful specimens and subjects I would add to my gallery – 'my' collections.'

Looking to the skies, beyond the planet's atmosphere to the darkest void within space. "Liberation shall come forth to this realm"

Trazyn the Infinite; Ancient Necron Overlord, have just been welcomed.
