Meeting other vampires

Andrew bennet is a Dc vampire, as well as some of the stuff I will be mentioning, is also Dc but, but I might put a little spin on things.

-Narrator pov -

Lucas walked calmly into the building in front of him, his gait was one of supreme confidence, if one didn't know any better they would say this was his building.

He caught the eye of the receptionist, and as he walked toward her he flashed a brilliant smile. Leaning against the counter he told her, "I'm here to see Andrew Bennet,"

"Sir he doesn't have any appointments today," she told him politely

"I'm sure he wants to see me, matter of fact why don't you bring me up to his office," Lucas said looking into her eyes

She stood up swiftly, "of course, please follow me,"

Lucas followed her into the elevator, as it ascended he looked at her and smirked, Lucas thoroughly enjoyed the new compulsion he had it was way easier than his mind control.

*ding* the elevator doors slid open allowing them to step out, Lucas followed the receptionist to an office door. Before she could open the door Lucas said, "you can go back to your desk now, thank you,"

"Of course," she replied with a small smile and walked back to the elevator

Lucas grabbed the door handle, twisting it he opened the door. Walking into the room he came face to face with Andrew Bennet.

"Lucas Queen I have been awaiting your arrival," Andrew said looking up from his computer screen

Lucas closed the door behind him and took a seat across from Andrew, "Andrew Bennet, I thought you were more low-key? This isn't very low-key,"

Andrew laughed, "so you've heard of me?"

-Lucas's pov -

"Of course," I replied with an easy smile

It took me a while, but I finally figured out why he bugged me so much, this guy is Andrew Bennet, a big-named vampire in the comics.

He practically rules the vampire nation but, if this guy is comic-accurate he doesn't turn humans nor drink their blood.

Often at least.

"That's good it cuts down the lengthy introduction I had planned, tell me how is it you can walk in the sun?" he asked curiously

I flashed him a mysterious smile, "I picked up a few tricks here and there,"

He frowned before chuckling a little, "well if your ever up to telling me, please do,"

"Of course," I nodded

"If I may ask, how were you turned? There aren't many vampires left in the world," he asked now leaning forward expectingly

I gained a thoughtful expression as I relaxed in the chair, "it was all a blur really, one day I was on the island fending for my life, scared, cold, hungry. My only warmth at that time was when the sun shone through the trees and then, it happened I woke up one day sore but I felt so strong, I felt as if I could take on an army. Then my life got harder, the sun turned into my enemy, and my hunger got worse. I was left no longer the same kid I was before,"

I left a lot out but that was really how it felt, it was the most soul-crushing experience of my life. But now I'm thankful. for the pain, I suffered made me the man I am today.

"I see, I'm sorry you had to experience that," Andrew replied sympathetically

"Thank you, if I may ask why have you reached out to me?" I asked

He sighed, it was a deep sign one that showed tiredness to an ultimate degree, "our species is in danger Lucas, I already mentioned how there aren't many of us left. But it's worse than you could imagine unless someone that beat the curse is there at all times turning a fresh vampires turn then they would most likely turn evil, but that's not the worrying part. The van Hellsing are relentless in their hunt for our kind they have joined with the lords of order to hunt our kind,"

I frowned heavily, my mind was moving at incredible speeds.

"Why there is no order without chaos and no chaos without order," I replied inquisitively

"That's what concerns me, usually only the van hellsing's are the ones hunting us constantly but, with the inclusion of the lords of order the situation grew to a whole different level of danger, us vampires might not always turn out good but, some do and they don't deserve to perish for a dream that is unreachable," he replied standing from his desk

He walked over to the specially-made window that blocks the sunlight, I got up and joined him.

"Lucas, dangerous times are upon us. The particle accelerator exploding was just the tip of the iceberg I can feel it. When you live as long as me you get a sixth sense for these types of things," he said in a low tone I could tell he was in much distress

"I will prepare," I replied calmly while looking at the city below

"Whenever, wherever you need help Lucas you can count on my aid," Andrew said in a deadly serious tone

"As can you," I replied reaching my hand out

He clasped my hand we didn't say any more but we didn't need to. The raw emotions I felt wafting from him were enough to know Andrew Bennet cares about the fate of our race.

-Andrew Bennet's pov -

After Lucas left I reclined back into my chair, and soon my receptionist walked in.

"Why didn't you tell me he was coming up?" I asked

"I was going to then I decided to surprise you," she replied

"And you leaving him at my door?" I asked

"I just decided to leave the conversing to the both of you master," she replied bowing her head

"Leave," I waved her off

She left the room leaving me to my thoughts, Sandra actually was the one to push the whole master-slave relationship. Kinky little thing.

Anyways, Lucas was truly an interesting person to meet, he was confident and mysterious. He felt no fear meeting me knowing my past.

He can walk in the sun and his very presence unnerved me, it was like I was meeting an agent of chaos all over again, we creatures of chaos can feel them instantly but, Lucas was different he felt different.

I have done so much for the vampire race as a whole, I have defended and defeated my enemies, and killed the one I loved. Fought battles like no other but, with the Hellsings and lords of order aligning even I am unconfident in my victory.

Lucas very well may be the savior of our race.

-Narrator pov -

In Queen manor, Thea Queen was putting her makeup on, she hummed gently to the music she was playing.

*knock*

*knock*

"Come in!" she shouted

Moira Queen walked into what she could tell was her daughter putting even more makeup on than she would even need.

"Honey, why are you putting on so much makeup?" Moira asked in clear confusion

"What? I just started," Thea replied with a confused expression matching her tone

To her, it looked like only her eyebrows were done

Moira looked at her strangely then sighed, "I see teenagers these days put more on I guess, anyways I just wanted to check on you again, I can't believe your bother took you to something so dangerous,"

Thea huffed angrily, "for the last time I'm fine! How would he have known that would happen, God mom you are so annoying sometimes just because you don't like Lucas right now doesn't mean everything is his fault!"

Thea didn't realize it but her anger at the situation caused the illusion of the shadows to move in her room. It stopped as fast as it started.

Moira sighed, "sorry, you're right love you,"

Dembe and Lucas stood before some thugs, each looked at the other and nodded.

Dembe practiced relentlessly, now it was time to figure out what this energy does.

Lucas already made the thugs standstill they couldn't run or hide.

Dembe closed his eyes briefly before a yellow beam flew from his hands and hit the first target.

They waited for something to happen, and suddenly the thug began to scream, "SPIDERS! Ahh help me help me help me!" he shouted over and over again

There were no spiders in sight.

"I feel like I'm gaining more energy," Dembe noted

"Interesting hit another one," Lucas said thoughtfully

Dembe repeated the same action, a yellow beam flew forward and impacted with another thug, this time with more power.

"AH! NOT MY FEET PLEASE NOT MY FEET!" he yelled fearfully

"Another,"

"AHH! NO GET AWAY GET AWAY!"

"Last one,"

"HOLY SHIT IM TOO HIGH UP, HELP ME!"

Dembe and Lucas both turned to each other at the same time, sporting the same wide smiles.

""Fear"" they said in unison
