36: Approval

As a fellow apprentice who came at the same time as them, Wade did not have many thoughts towards it.

He buried himself with the work he had to do, and to everyone else, he was just another Rank 1 Apprentice.

In this months, Wade had bought many of the energy potion ingredients and conducted many potion-brewing sessions.

He also invested all of the crystals he earned from working under his mentor into this potion-making. So far, he had spent a dozen-odd Magic Crystals on this.

Of course, he also brought forward the problems he encountered to his mentor, Fred, at times and asked other questions about the basics of various brewing techniques. This was greatly beneficial for his Potion making.

He could already affirm that with the help of Abby, his Potioneering skills had already surpassed Fred himself.

Today, it would be the day his luck was good and he succeeded in brewing a potion and cane to let his mentor evaluate it.

This time, the successful product was controlled by him through Abby's assistance. He purposely made some minute missteps, making it seem like a poor product that was made by an apprentice, but it would still be considered decent for a new apprentice.

Wade's palm, which was gripping the potion tightened.

"Only after today, can I start to sell a few potions in broad daylight and earn some Magic Crystals! Yesterday, I heard Sam say that he already felt close to advancing. Therefore, my progress can't lag behind too much!"

Wade hurriedly walked into Fred's experiment lab.

"Wade, do you have more problems with the brewing of the Energy Potion or knowledge of souls?" Fred could clearly feel that his apprentice was different today.

"No, Sir!" Wade inhaled deeply, "I have already succeeded once last night!"

"What?" The skull in Fred's hands fell, "Although your talent in Potion making has exceeded my expectations, the brewing of an Energy Potion is not that easy!"

After months of teaching, Fred was able to sense his students improvement after being questioned so much.

However, he still felt that Wade was still lacking in regards to brewing the Energy Potion successfully and would require another month.

Hearing this, Mike leaned over directly to listen.

"Did you bring the completed work?" Fred asked.

"It's in here!" Wade took out a yellow-coloured test tube and handed it to the professor.

Fred unplugged the wooden stopper and took a sniff. His face revealed a startled expression.

He then poured a drop on his finger. A fine, milky-white light extended from between his brows and directly pierced the droplet, making it shake. Fred closed his eyes, his brows furrowed and soon relaxed.

"The purification of the Vitality Fruit was not bad. There was also some problem with your usage of mental Force and mana which damaged the chemical properties.

Even though there are quite a few problems, but you have still succeeded as a whole. Congratulations!" Fred smiled jubilantly.

Wade smiled, and Bicky even cheered.

"Congratulations!" Sam walked over from God knows where at this time.

"Compared to Senior Sam, I still have much to learn!" Wade hurriedly said.

"You don't have to be too humble, compared to Sam, your resources are lacking. I guarantee that you would have been able to brew your first potion in two months otherwise. In Black Academy, this talent can already be considered excellent!" Fred said.

"Thinking back now, I am really lucky. First, I was given Sam, who has talent in Potion Making, as my apprentice. And now, I have you!" Fred said with deep joy in his hoarse tone.

"Sir, I will also work hard and become a Potion master" Mike clenched his fists and returned to his experiment table.

"Finish preparing the Dark Hound Head in your hands first, before you say anything else!" Fred's face turned stiff.

After that, he returned the Energy Potion to Wade, "This time, luck played an important factor in brewing the Energy Potion. What you have to do next is to remember how it felt when you first succeeded, and then practice more. This test tube can also be sold and exchanged for magic crystals!"

Fred seemed to be reminding him, "Wade, you must remember. Different potions have different challenges for the Potion Masters. Although you are able to brew this Energy Potion right now, you would most likely face some new problems if you start making the Vitality Potion. Therefore, do not be arrogant. From now on, focus on practising your potion brewing!"

"I will!" Wade pocketed the Strength Potion well, and promised solemnly.

Later, he finished his tasks in the experiment lab and left for the trading area.

Wade had very few Magic Crystals, to begin with, but now he planned to sell the Energy Potion. With Fred's approval, he could earn Magic Crystals by brewing and selling more Energy Potions.

After walking past the chaotic stalls, Wade arrived at the stall he had bought potion ingredients from during his first visit to this place.

In this period of time, he had gotten to know the fat guy working in the store as he had become his regular customer.

The fat guys name was Croc and he was a very good businessman. He had started this stall with his own hard work and connections and he had to go through quite a lot of trouble to do so.

Or so was what he had learned from the stories he was told by that fatty.
