Chapter 1: How We Met

Lily was new to camp half blood and didn't have any friends. She always kept her two daggers close one on her side and one in her boot. Her daggers were a gift she found under her pillow on her eighth birthday the day her brother James left her alone. It was her third day at camp half- blood, she never trusted anyone after James disappeared. She has not been claimed yet so she stayed in the Hermes cabin but she didn't care.

She hasn't even talked to anyone since she was eight, lily ended up at came half-blood because of a boy who called himself evan. Lily didn't trust him at first but she decided to follow him back to camp half-blood like he asked her too simply because she was upset with herself and injured by the monster that attracted her.

He found her passed out in the woods. He bandaged her wounds and brought her back to the camp. Only a few have tried to talk to her but she only ever walked away. Now she was walking around when she saw a girl sitting beside the lake.

Lily then decided to walk over and sit down but she never said a word and neither did the girl. They sat in comfortable slience for awhile that's when lily decided to finally speek for the first time in 7 years.

"What's your name" she whispered it came out lowly and hourse almost unhearable but the girl heard lily and said nothing. Lily took it as sign to leave she stood up and made her way back to the cabin she got comfy in her little spot she thought about her voice it sounded foreign to her.

The girl who's name she never got started towards the bonfire they have every night she liked the way the flames danced in the fire and the colors changing to match the mood. At the cabin lily sat staring at a picture of her and her brother when a boy came and asked, "hey are you coming to the bonfire tonight you've been here three days and haven't done anything with anyone we've asked only a million times lily".

lily shrugged and stood up she didn't want to go but also didn't want to upset anyone else again. Everyone was now at the camp fire lily sat as far way from everyone as she could get. She did everything alone it was just her way of coping with things besides running that is.

Someone decided to sit by her she didn't bother looking at the person. When everyone was settled they started singing camp songs. Lily never said a word though. The fire was a blaze now glowing a bright green with a tint of black around the edges showing a few people weren't as happy as the rest and one of them was lily.

That's when Chiron come trotting over raising a hand and everyone who was singing or talking went quite and he started talking. "Well children we have a few new someone's here tonight  will you please stand up and say your name's" a few kids stood up but lily never did she hated being call out or in the spotlight even for a second.

Then the kids started rattling off their names and things about themselfs and eventually got calimed. lily didn't listen she was trying to blend in as she sitting there but the boy beside her shouted, "you missed one" he was pointing to lily. Lily looked over mad as she could get but when she saw that it was Evan her anger calmed by a fraction.

Chiron then said, "well please stand up and introduced yourself" lily stood up but didn't say anything instead she glared at evan and started to walk way when someone yelled, "awe look she's afraid to talk to us".

lily turn on her heel and said, "my names lily and just cause I won't talk to people I don't know or trust does not mean I am afraid to talk and to me right now your all threats until you prove otherwise " with that she turned and went back to the cabin. The girl she met earlier stood and followed her to the cabin but as lily got there the girl shouted, "my names Alex" lily spun not realizing she was followed she was to angry to notice.

Lily waved but turned around walking into the cabin slamming the door. Alex took it as a sign that lily was too angry to talk at the moment. Alex was the child of Hades.

She didn't talk to anyone but lily seemed to be interested in her and she was also interested in lily ever since lily sat beside her for 2 hours Alex timed it. Lily was breathing heavily she had 'rage issues' and couldn't control them well. It was a few hours later when people started pooling into the cabin lily was mostly calmed down but if someone rubbed her the wrong way she would have a out burst and that would be very bad.

That's when a young boy and a teenage girl sat in front of her and said, "tomorrow is one our more relaxing days we all go swimming in the lake" lily couldn't help but smile when she said swimming.

Lily loved to swim, the girl smiled at her reaction and then lily noticed everyone staring at them it was the first time they seen her actually smile. She noticed and the smile disappeared hidden behind her blank expression with that it was lights out.
