On the other hand, if they didn't get out, the rebels might think they were both dead which was a good option.

"I'll check," he announced finally, his voice low and urgent.

She nodded, her heart pounding with a mix of fear and anticipation. All their conversations were done in hushed whispers.

With a deep breath, Angel pressed his back against the cold, damp wall of the cavern, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly. He knew that the next few moments would be critical, and he needed to be cautious and alert.
