Chapter 26

Alanna was already close to the borders of the pack territory when she stopped to make a phone call to Hannibal.

"Miss Doyle?!" The doctor answered, surprised.

"Doctor, how do I get past the guards?"  Alanna asked.  "I don't want either Zander or Faolán to be aware of my presence. I'll just kiss your Alpha and get the hell out of there."

"Oh, I see." Hannibal answered. "Where are you, exactly?"

Alanna sent him her current location via the messaging app, and Hannibal asked her to meet him at a specific spot, describing a weird tree that had its roots really twisted. The guards there were friendlier to the doctor and would understand better if he said that the girl who accompanied him was a personal visitor of his, a human who didn't want contact with other werewolves, without further explanations.
