The Good Old Days 2

'Keep your cool Ray. You can bypass them.' He said internally. "What is the meaning of this!" He voiced out with a deep stern voice.

The men stared at him in mockery. "You can stop the act now, it's ridiculous," one of them said.

"You just walked into your death," said another.

"What insolence," Ray roared in anger, but shortly after a sigh escaped his lips. "You know what? You're right." He took off the hat and glasses with an evil grin.

****************************

Within a room three seated men were having a conversation.

"You're cooperation would be a good help not just to the south underground, but the entire underworld," said the man who was seated opposite the other two men.

"It's our pleasure. As long as we get what we want," the brawny man said puffing his cigar.

"Of course, not just you two, but everyone who partook in this operation would have their wish granted," he voiced out in a calm, assuring voice.

'Johnny, is there anything you would like to add?' He asked the lean man seated beside him.

"N-nothing. I t-think it's a g-good d-deal," he stammered.

Johnny was a stammerer right from when he spoke his first word as a child. Pretty bad, huh? And as usual, since he didn't come from a rich or decent home, he was bullied the a lot, and this went on till his adulthood.

He was barely making enough money for himself to survive since he dropped out from school. Sometimes he wished that he ended up dead. Well, that was until death actually arrived.

After the meteor crash, he wasn't lucky enough to be among the people who had been evacuated before the walls were erected. After encountering an abyssal he realized how much he wasn't ready to die, so he tried his best to survive. Something which he achieve before the creation of Euthopia and after a year, he met his boss who changed his life.

He was somehow quickly able to gain favour and rise up to the position he was in today. Being the one to follow the son of the boss to seal off such an important deal was no joke.

This wasn't all, as Johnny was also the best friend to his boss's son.

"In that case, it's settled." They stood up for a handshake when a man who was monitoring the outside, voiced out shakily. "T-there's a problem outside."

"What do you mean by that?" The man who was seated alone frowned as the grip he had on the small briefcase tightened.

"This guy's an aberrant. But I think we're safe here, right?"

***************************

Meanwhile, outside the room.

"Is that all you've got?" Ray stared at the five men who were barely unconscious on the ground in disappointment. He looked back at the door before inching closer to it, but once again he was surrounded. This time, it was by four men.

Ray already knew that they had to be the aberrants that man had told him about. According to the man, none of them had the strength to be ranked in the top 200 or else he would have retreated.

He unbuttoned his coat before pulling out his sword as a sigh of relief escaped his lips. "That was uncomfortable."

One of the men transformed his hand into metals while running towards Ray. He punched out towards his face but before it could make contact a golden aura surrounded Ray and once it made contact with it, his punch came to a stop.

He could feel the golden aura repelling his fist.

Ray gazed mockingly at him before slashing upwards.

"Arhhhhhh!!" The man screamed as his arm got disconnected from his shoulder, he kicked him in the chest which sent him spiraling backwards and crashing into multiple tables and boards before coming to a stop.

Everyone who were here had either ran away or were hiding somewhere. So no one was insight, only Ray and his four, no, three opponents.

Well, except for a certain someone.

"Woo-hoo! That's the spirit baby, don't keep me waiting for long," said a woman sitting on a table. The same woman who had grabbed his arm earlier.

Ray didn't know if this was courage or plain stupidity.

Seeing what he had done, they felt more wariness and attacked him all at once. Ray had a smile on his face as he watched this happen.

If it was two weeks ago this would have been a problem, but luckily for him and unluckily for them, he had just created a new form which was well suited for this situation.

"Aura sword arts, second form, multi slash." The aura around his sword increased several folds as he slashed it at different angles around him at lightning speed.

Their eyes could only widen in surprise before they receive the onslaught of sword slashes. When his golden aura disappear, the men were scattered across the room along with blood stains. The amount of blood around each of the men increased every passing second.

This form concentrated his aura not only to his sword, but his full arm, causing him to release very quick and powerful, multiple slashes in a short period of time.

Ray looked towards a particular direction as a wry smile appeared on his face. "I think I hit her." He was looking at an empty table were the woman formally was, which had bloodstains.

He was a little confused why the security of this place wasn't so strong. He looked towards the door with an evil grin. This time, there was no one stopping him.

****************************

Within the room,

The man looking through the eye hole was completely soaked in sweat. He felt his legs give up, causing him to fall to the ground when he saw Ray's grin.

"What's wrong? The brawny man asked, seeing his expression. But there was no response, only whimpers.

"Damn it," the brawny man said, walking towards the door.

"This door is ten centimeters thick of a strong metal." He shoved the shaky man away while stretching his arms, to touch it. "He can't just...…"

Before he could complete his statement, a golden coated sword slashed through not only the door but also his outstretched arm. The attack divided it from above into two horizontally.

"Arhhhhhhh!!" He screamed much more worse than a pig being slaughtered, seeing what had become of his hand.

Ray who was the culprit at the other end of the door slashed several more time before kicking open the slashed part and walking in.

"Oh!" He exclaimed seeing the man whose hand had been cut into two all the way from his palm to his elbow with two fingers on one side and three on the other. "Too bad," he shook his head in pity.

The thin man ran towards his friend who would surely die if he wasn't attended to immediately. He couldn't believe what the person who had caused this just said.

"L-look what you've d-done you arse-hole. D-d-do something!" He stammered in anger.

"Why should I?" Ray said emotionlessly.

"He's g-going to d-d-die!" He screamed in frustration.

"Don't even think about it." Ray stared coldly at the man with the briefcase who was trying to escape.

He gritted his teeth when he heard this. He couldn't lose the briefcase. It contained something far too important. He never expected a sentry to find him and a strong one at that. But what truly confused him was that none of his powerful escorts had turned up and with the strength of the boy in front of him he doubted that he would be able to defeat a single one.

The man whose hand was cut kept staring at Ray in malice as he felt his consciousness slowly drifting away.

The thought of helping him crossed his mind, but even if he wanted to, there wasn't any medical facility around here which could save him from such an injury, so he would still die on the way and Ray didn't have any skills for saving life.

Besides, he didn't like how the man was staring at him.

"Jake! You can't lose consciousness, Jake!" Johnny lamented. Tapping Jake whose eyes were slowly closing. "Jake! No! No!" Jonny stared at Jake whose eyes were now closed as they were surrounded by his pool of blood.

"Amen." Ray bowed respectfully.

"You bastard!" Johnny leaped with a punch to his face. But the golden aura which was released pushed him back to the ground. Ray was about to speak up when he notice that there was someone behind him.

"What are you doing here?" He said without turning around

"Just checking up on you. Going out alone for missions is dangerous. Much more missions like this. You can get yourself killed," a voice behind him said.

"Well, as you can see, there wasn't any need for your concern."

"Hahahahaha. I'm at loss for words. You truly are ignorant. So you believe that these are the only aberrants in an important underground operation like this?"

Ray frowned. "So you're saying that you handle them?"

"With some help of course. They were very strong. I barely took down one," the voice replied casually.

"Is that so? Well this was an interesting mission at least. I'll leave the rest to you..... partner."

Jonny stared at Ray as he walked away with an abnormal amount of fury.

'Interesting, huh?'

He swore to get his revenge someday.

I don't see anyone pointing out mistakes. Am I that good. *Smiles*
