There was a sound of flesh meeting flesh, and Alec casually turned his head, finding that Elysia had already taken out the person who was guarding the dumbwaiter entrance with ease while he'd been listening to the sound of heartbeats that were incredibly distracting.

Elysia placed the person's unconscious body in the dumbwaiter and pressed the button, causing the doors to close as the body was brought up.
