After this simple exchange, Lin Fan was able to open up the hearts of this old man and the little girl and they exchanged introductions.

Lin Fan learned that the old man's name was Duanmu Hao Yu and the little girl's name was simply Min'er, she didn't have a surname at all.

He also learned that the two of them were biological relatives at all, but rather Duanmu Hao Yu had picked up Min'er from this wasteland many years ago and had been taking care of her the entire time. Though with how he treated her and how the two acted with each other, those that didn't know would think that they were a blood related pair of grandfather and granddaughter.

All of this was told to him by Min'er since he found that Duanmu Hao Yu couldn't speak at all.
