CHAPTER FOUR : New life, New place

Three years later

"Here you go ma'am." I said giving her the packed fruits.

"Thank you Lia." She said smiling.

"My pleasure and come back again." I said waving my hand.

"Sure dear." She said and went where she was going. She is one of my biggest customer.

(Phew that's the last one.) Emma said. 'Yeah, now we can go home and rest.' I said in my head.

I finished packing my stuff and took my handbag, l locked the doors and now I'm standing by the road side waiting for Kate to pick me up.

In less time she arrived. "Hey girl." She said from the window and l entered the car and sat at the other side.

"I'm so exhausted. How was your day at work?" I asked her and she looks so happy.

"Bestie guess what, l got a promotion!" She exclaimed with happiness. Wow I'm so happy for her.

"Great news, this calls for a celebration." I said sharing the same amount of happiness she has.

"Yes, I'm sleeping over at your house and we could watch a movie." She said while driving.

"That's a great idea, how about we pass by the market and by some groceries. I forgot to go there yesterday." I said and she nodded her head.

"How much did you make today." She asked me.

"I made about $1000 dollars today." I said and her her smile widened.

"Wow soon it will be a company if you keep on making that much everyday." She said and pulled over in the parking lot before we went inside the market.

"Let's buy pork and fish over there." She said and went there, we bought everything we needed and went home.

I unlocked my apartment door and entered. "Home sweet home." Kate said entering with the other groceries.

"Hey I'm going to my room to change." I said climbing the stairs. "Me too." She said entering her room downstairs.

Entering my room l went and closed the curtains and took out my oversized shirt and shorts. I wore my comfy clothes, and tied my hair into a messy bun and went downstairs.

After washing my hands l started cutting the vegetables.

"What are we cooking." She said entering the kitchen and grabbing an apple from the basket.

"Let's cook pasta." I said still continuing with the vegetables.

"Mmhh this apple is so good. Where did you buy these." She said eating the apple in delight.

"I picked them up in the forest." I said.

(It's thanks to me for those apples.) Emily said folding her hands.

"Hey are you gonna stand there eating while I'm doing the cooking." I said pretending to be angry.

"Sorry madam, I'm coming to help." She says laughing a bit.

We finished preparing dinner and now we're are at the table setting the dishes. "Let's see what we have cooked" l said taking my spoon.

"Let's dig in." She said. I coughed when l ate the food. I drank some water and looked at Kate, we both burst into laughter.

"Next time we should follow the instructions" I said laughing.

"Definitely.". She said. We may have put a lot of pepper and salt. We finished dinner and watched two movies until it was time to go bed.

I went to my room and had a nice hot shower. I smiled when l remembered what happened 3 years ago.

After l survived, Emily and Emma taught me how to use my abilities and that I'm a forest guardian. They refused to tell me about my parents, they only said when the time is right.

I can also shape shift to any ordinary animal but only once a time to preserve my energy, l can teleport and grow nature, I can also read minds but l choose not to do it because it's invading someone's privacy.

I wandered in the forest for days and days until l landed upon a road, it was late at night and l didn't watch careful at the road which let to me getting hit by a car and the person who hit was Kate.

She admitted me to the hospital and took care of me for days, we were now friends. I told her l had nowhere to stay and she invited me to stay with her at her apartment. She comes from a rich family but she has her own apartment.

I lived with her for a year, since l had nature ability l thought l could make use of it by selling fruits, vegetables and flowers. I started small but it got bigger that l had an average store. By the way I'm living with the humans.

I was now financially stable to now buy my own apartment and needs. Kate is a sister and a beat friend to me so that's why my apartment has also her room too if she wants to stay.

Life really took a better turn for me since I left that pack. I found better friends to rely on. Kate works for another company because her father said she needs to fend for herself not on his money.

Her family is really good, they excepted me like their daughter. They own a university and they gave me a scholarship. Me and Kate will graduate next week.

Cambrook University is one of the biggest in the country so l feel lucky to be attending it. So that's how my life turned this way. Back to reality.

After a hot shower, l wore my silk pajamas and went to bed. Today is Monday so tomorrow is school. Closing my eyes l slowly drifted to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of the alarm buzzing. I stretched up and got out of bed. It's 06:00am and l need to get ready for school. I bathed and wore a simple blue dress. I apply lipgloss and tie my blonde hair into a high end ponytail.

I need to wake Kate up coz we'll be late. I knocked her door and heard no reply so l entered. I find the room empty but l heard sound coming from the bathroom.

Oh today she's early, l left her room at went to the kitchen and made breakfast.

"Smells good." She says entering the kitchen. "Good morning." I said passing her the toast and omelet l made.

"Ham and cheese omelet, yay my favorite." She said shoving it in her mouth. I chuckled lightly.

"You are the best, this tastes amazing." She said with a bright smile on her face. She is beautiful, she has short dark chocolate hair and blue eyes, no wander why Dave is so head over heels for her.

We arrived at school in time and had our our lessons, and now we are going to the canteen.

"Over here girls." Isaac shouted waving his hand. We quickly get our food and went there.

"What's up guys." I said sitting down next to Kira.

"How was the phycology class." Kira asked us, me and Kate do phycology for some reason.

"It was fun." Kate said eating.

"I'm amazed how much you eat but still have a model's body." Sasha said sitting down. I chuckled awkwardly, l sure do eat a lot.

"I do exercises, that's why." I said. "Hey guys did you hear about the new student?" Isaac said in a low voice.

"He is so handsome." Isaac said which got everyone's attention.

"Isaac are you gay?" I said and he coughed, everyone laughed at him.
