Chapter 2 Miscarriage of Mistress

After Rose words Atmosphere became more tensed between them.

"You b*tch!" Tiana roared and, trembling with rage, In anger slapped Rose across the face, Rose instantly fell to the ground as if she had been anticipating this, "Ouch, my stomach!" she shrieked.

Tiana only slapped Rose on the face, but crimson red blood began to ooze out of her trousers the moment she fell to the ground, just a mere slap and this happened like it was holding up till this moment only .

Tiana was taken aback and could hardly believe what just happened.

Medical staff instantly rushed Rose off to the emergency room, afraid to leave the scene, Tiana too followed after her.

After waiting outside the room for quite some time, Tiana heard the sound of footsteps and when she glanced up, saw her mother-in-law, Marget Iyer.

Glaring at Tiana furiously, Marget asked, "What's going on? How did Rose end up in the emergency room?"

"Miss Brown ... No, Mrs.Taylor pushed her!" Middle-aged woman who had been accompanying Rose answered, while shuttering as her words do, sounds fearful too due to the presence of Marget.

"You b*tch! You're a fruitless tree and yet you simply couldn't bear to watch others achieve what you've failed to, could you?" Marget shrieked and slapped Tiana in the face.

As Marget had never liked Tiana, she was merciless with her blow and Tiana 's face quickly began to swell up.

Earlier before, she had thought that Rose was lying, but Marget's attitude explained everything.

Burst of despair grew in Tiana 's heart and it felt so suffocating that she nearly passed out. But right at that moment, the door to the operating theatre opened and a nurse walked out to inform them that Rose had lost her baby.

Marget went ballistic when she heard this and immediately charged over to yank Tiana 's hair before she began to thrash and kick her.

Tiana quickly blacked out from the violent beatings.

When she finally regained consciousness, opened her eyes to a sea of white. She tried to sit up, but her body ached so terribly that she had to lean against the headboard of her bed to catch her breath.

But right at that moment, the door of her ward opened and a man wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses came in.

"Hello, Miss Brown, I'm Mr. Taylor' lawyer!"He said his words carefully, being all professional and respectful.

"Lawyer?Miss Brown? " Tiana repeated and stared at the man before her in shock, how in just few time she became Miss from Mrs.

Although she never used Austin surname yet now it's just making her heart bleed hearing this .

"Yes, I'm Mr. Taylor' private lawyer, he entrusted me to handle his divorce proceedings with you," Lawyer stated his work to Tiana .

"Divorce? Austin wants to divorce me?" Tiana repeated and could hardly believe what she just heard.

Lawyer walked over to her bed and handed her a document, "This is a divorce agreement, Please read through it."

Tiana 's hands began to quiver. She had never dreamed that Austin would actually divorce her one day, without reading the divorce agreement, she stared at the lawyer and ordered, "Get Austin to come to see me! I want him to tell me in person!"

"Mr. Taylor is very busy. He doesn't have the time."

"He's busy and has no time?" Tiana chuckled and wondered, when they had begun to be so indifferent to each other that he could not even afford to spare some time to meet her.

Closing her eyes shut, she grabbed the phone on the bedside table and dialled for Eric's number but could not seem to get through to him.

"How did Austin and I end up like this? An affair, a divorce",She mused, trying hard to process where she went wrong in her all marriage life of three years that resulted in this mess .

The lawyer, who was still waiting for her response, urged, "Miss Nelson, please take a look at the agreement. I'm very busy!"

It was obvious from the lawyer's attitude that he would not take 'No' for an answer. Everyone had been respectful towards Tiana throughout her three years of marriage with Austin .

Now that the lawyer was so cold and harsh, he was clearly acting under Austin 's instructions.

Tiana held up the divorce agreement and glanced at the column on the dismemberment of property. As all the property belonged to Austin before his marriage, it was not part of the property that would be divided upon their divorcement. Tiana instantly began to tear up.

He once said that she meant the world to him and that everything he had belonged to her, but this doesn't seem or sound like this .

However, he already fell out of love with her within just three years into their marriage. She wondered if he was finally revealing his true colours.

Truth is that what she understands now clearly, "Austin had kept a mistress behind her back and even impregnated the mistress with a child finally began to sink in".

"I suppose it's time for a fruitless tree like me to step down," Tiana thought bitterly, that is just tearing her heart apart to even think as .

Without reading the agreement any further, Tiana glanced up at the lawyer, who had been staring at her all along, and requested, "Give me a pen!"

Lawyer opened his briefcase, took out a pen and handed it to Tiana before he added, "Mr. Taylor said that you can't take any of the jewellery that he bought for you."

Tiana stared blankly at the space before her and froze for a long time. Just when the lawyer thought that she would challenge this, she slowly agreed, "Sure."

She then picked up the pen and signed her name on the divorce agreement quickly, while trying to hold it firmly as she doesn't want to show her weakness no matter how weak she already is .

After she signed it, she immediately handed it to the lawyer ,who took one quick glance at the signed agreement, turned and left from her ward .

A luxurious Aston Martin pulled up in the parking lot of the hospital and the car window scrolled down to reveal the face of an incomparably handsome man.

Lawyer quickly strode over to the car and reported respectfully, "Mr. Taylor, Madam has signed it!"

"She signed it?",Man repeated slowly like it's something foreign to him and then he glanced at the lawyer's face with his unreadable eyes.

Lawyer's heart raced when he saw how moody the man seemed and though he wanted to say something, he was at a loss for words.

Man then turned to stare at the dark night sky, after some time, he spat out, "Let's go!".

And left from there without saying or asking further, leaving the lawyer all confused thinking what wrong he did, as this is what Mr Taylor wants to do but this seems like it pissed him off.

But he surely did not understand that young lady's behaviour toward this as she signed this easily without asking anything as he saw many cases where women are hard to handle as they ask for settlement, here it's just both are too confusing .

But he left too as he can't do anything, his work is all done here .
