I won't stop... I can't

As Goku and Gohan flew towards the island, Gohan slowed as he saw the familiar blue-green ocean. He stopped, looking at the vast sea, a sight he had not seen in over 100,000 years. Goku slowed when he noticed Gohan was not moving, and smiled when he saw Gohan splashing the water, feeling the water flow over his skin.

There were 3 ways to get water in Tuat, the name of the world he lived in. One was the flash flood that happened every year that stayed for about a week; so it was imperative to collect and store as much water as possible.

Second was the deep underground rivers and the one Oasis that lays in the of Tuat, but monsters tend to live near them, so it's very difficult; Gohan had to vacate the monsters from the Oasis to build his kingdom around it, and THAT took about 9 years.

The third way is that someone had an elemental affinity to water; but that rarely happens. In fact, the amount of people that had that ability throughout Gohan's time there could have been count one one hand; Gohan included in the count, so it's not a really even considered a way since the moment that someone is discovered to have the ability they are either regarded as a deity reincarnation or a demon. In Gohan's case, it was both.

Gohan just stood there, feeling the spray of the ocean when he noticed his father's Ki coming closer. He looked towards Goku, a smile fully displayed on his face ,tears almost falling. Almost, but not quite.

"Everything alright Gohan?" Goku asked. Gohan nodded, still relishing the feeling of the water.

"You know what's funny?" Gohan asked. Goku shook his head in confusion.

"No, what?" Goku asked.

"I created a kingdom from nothing, and ruled it for so long now, but I never really thought how much I would really miss the ocean till I got back. There's really not much water in Tuat,"

"Tuat?" Goku asked, interrupting Gohan.

"It's what the natives there call the world, it roughly translates to 'Land of the dead' because everyone can die there easily. Anyway, I knew that I missed the ocean; I just didn't know how much I missed it till now I'm standing here." Gohan explained, rising above the misty spray of the ocean.

"Come on, lets go! I'll race you!" Gohan stated, suddenly shooting off for the Island. Goku looked at him in shock, before a smile grew on his as he took off after his son.

A/N I'm sure some of you nice readers that managed to make it this far noticed that I've based some of the terms from Egyptian words. Tuat is the alternative for the word Duat, which is the "Land of the dead" or "Underworld", not the afterlife.

Krillen was training rigorously outside, Marron watching in apt interest, when he noticed Goku and Gohan coming in.

"Hey Goku, Gohan! What are you two doing here?" Krillen asked, but Gohan was not paying attention. He immediately headed for the ocean as 18 and Master Roshi walked outside.

"Hey guys! Gohan suggested that we come here. He said that he missed the ocean; plus he really needed the wash off. He's been training since early this morning." Goku stated as he watched Gohan diving into the ocean.

"Oh, is he as good as he was when he fought Cell?" 18 asked as she walked up to them.

"I think so; he was using a weapon earlier, so he might be. He was really good with it too." 18 raised an eyebrow at that.

"What type of weapon. Please tell me it's not a gun?!" Krillen asked as he played with Marron.

"No, it was a spear of some kind. To be honest, I've never seen something like that before." Goku admitted.

"Maybe you should ask Gohan about it when he comes back out." Out of nowhere, Piccolo's voice suggested. Krillen jumped, turning around to see Piccolo standing not too far behind him.

"When did you get here?" Goku asked.

"Just a minute ago. Besides; I've been curious about that spear of his, and his magic." Piccolo said, completely ignoring the effect that sentence had on Krillen and his wife.

"Hold on, Gohan can do MAGIC!? Like what Babidi did?" Krillen asked, nearly hysterical. 18 just raised an eyebrow, no other reaction could be seen from her.

"No, he said he doesn't do it like Babidi, but he does do magic. I'm gonna need him to explain himself a bit better because I didn't get it." Goku clarified just as Gohan reappeared from the ocean, water dripping of his darkened, nearly brown skin and his soaked pants. He smiled at them as they noticed something peculiar. As they watched, his pants, skin and hair started to dry off immediately, till not even 30 seconds later he was completely dry again, as if he never jumped in the ocean to begin with.

"Wow, neat trick. Is that the magic that Goku and Piccolo told us about?" Krillen asked, as Gohan raised an eyebrow, looking at his two father-figures. Goku was sheepily laughing, rubbing the back of his neck, while Piccolo looked like he did nothing wrong!

"Well, since the two of them seemed so open with my secrets, I might as well tell you. In my world, what we call Tuat,"

"You mean in the other world." Goku corrected. Gohan looked at him with such stern, icy eyes like he would with prisoners and enemies, that Goku started to squirm under the eyes. After 10 seconds, but for what felt like an eternity, Gohan sighed.

"I'll get back to you with that, but on Tuat; there are two types of magic that was developed. One is Combat magic. This is magic that can be invoked using spells and Ki mainly and it's separated into 3 levels, this for example." Gohan said, closing his eyes. He whispered to quietly for Goku to hear, but Piccolo heard him clearly.

"Effingo Corpus Meum." Gohan whispered as the air beside him started shining, a a few seconds later, a doppelganger formed right next to him. Piccolo eyes widened, but noticed that this one has no Ki signature, and his eyes were blank like a puppet, while Krillen screamed next to his stoic wife. They both looked at everyone, the real Gohan smiling almost like a Kitsune.

"This is a simple level 1 Projection spell, and it's a example for a .You can't touch it, but it can fool the senses like sight and smell, except for people for people like us who can sense Ki. It's great for getting away from enemies. Beasts on the other hand are a bit trickier; and for those we use a next level projection magic." Gohan explained as the Gohan look alike disappears, as if it was a mirage. Gohan closes his eyes again, and mutters the next words.

"Affingo animam meam." He whispered. His body glowed slightly as another Doppelganger formed next to him. This time, even everyone gasped, because this one did had a Ki signature. If they did not watch him make it and the still blank on its face, they would have thought there was two of them.

"This is a Intermediate level spell. This one can copy one's energy and Ki since most beasts can sense Ki. And then, there is the Advanced level." He stated as the second disappears as well. Gohan closes his eyes again.

"Effingo essentia meum." He whispered as the air around him seemed to shimmer. The third one appeared in a glow of white light, and everyone did a double take again. This one was different. This one was SMILING, and seemed to have emotions.

"Hey everyone, don't forget I'm just a projection of his inner being so I can copy his emotions and thought, but I can't use any magic." The copy Gohan explained as it too disappeared into a white light.

"So that's a basic spell for beginners. That spell could also be implied to weapons, but they won't have any effect, except with Opals. But most of them don't make it." Gohan explained as Piccolo and 18 nodded in understanding. Goku and Krillen just stood there in amazement.

"So that's what you did earlier with the spear." Piccolo realized as Gohan nodded.

"Yes, that spell was actually a mix of Advance Projection spell to give it a form and Light magic to give it power; and the Opals on my spear handle gives it more power. Which actually brings up the second form of magic, Elemental magic." Gohan looked around, making sure he got there attention when he focused his Ki into his hands. They glowed slightly and he focused on the air around him, creating a air-draft under Marron, lifting her and causing her to fly around them.

"Hey, Gohan if you're doing that, please stop!" Krillen cried as he went to get his daughter down. Gohan slowed the air-draft till Krillen got her.

"As you saw, Elemental magic is the magic to influence and control the elements around you. The four basic is the normal Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Fire being the basic and easiest to use, then Earth, then Air. Water elemental users are so rare, including me there has only been 4 users the entire time I was there." Gohan explained, thinking back to the previous water user who taught him.

"That rare huh, how were they treated?" Piccolo asked. Gohan smiled sadly.

"They were treated as if they were Gods reincarnated. They, including me, are in charge of bringing water to the land. Me being able to create and manipulate water is part of the reason the people chose me to be king." Gohan explained before he continued.

"There are sub-categories of the elements, like sound belongs to air, gravity to earth, ice to water and lightning to fire. And that's the basic go-over of the different magics we do." Gohan finished, noticing his father's eyes narrowing.

"Gohan, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I've noticed that you keep mentioning the people on Tuat as "your" people, as if your not staying here." Goku pointed out as Gohan lowered his head.

"That's because I'm not." Gohan said after a minute, looking up at them with a sad, but furious resolve. Piccolo eyes went wide at Gohan's words, while Krillen choked on air from the surprise.

"Why not Gohan? I thought you were going to stay here now that you found a way!" Goku asked, but Gohan just shook her head.

"No dad, I really did-do- miss this world, but I don't belong here. I've aged to fast, and I've built a life over there. I can't leave my people over there. I actually have a family over there, a wife and children. The only reason I came back was to find the bastard that sent me over there and killed Videl, but I can't stay here. I have to continue helping the the people over there. I won't stop leading them... I can't stop now."

A/N Hey readers that followed this story this far... Thank you so much! For those that noticed, I've managed to merge the culture of Egypt as the basis for the other world, Tuat, but some basis from a regular European fantasy magic with Latin words. I thought it would be interesting. Thanks again for sticking around this long!

Your gift is the motivation for my creation. Give me more motivation!
