Esmeralda had just gotten to work when she was summoned to the office of Martins Greg.
Knowing fully well the reason why he had summoned her, she was reluctant to appear before him but for peace to reign and to avoid side talks from her co-workers, she answered his call.
Immediately she walked in, Martins turned around, locking eyes with her, "You know why I summoned you, right?" He asked, eliciting a nod from her.
"And I have given my response also." She replied, lowering herself on the seat opposite him. "I'm still trying to understand why you aren't doing anything despite knowing that this is a conspiracy." She smacked her lips, tilting her head to the side.
"By any chance, is there something you are not telling me? I'm curious, you know." She shrugged.
"You have always been a hard nut to crack." Martins said in frustration as he threw his head backwards.
