Khloe's POV
Terrified, I tried to speak but my tongue was tied as I kept darting my eyes around.
Just like it has happened before, Nevian was going to interpret this in a different way and my plan to help would be tossed in my face.
Fiddling with my fingers, I parted my lips to speak but before I could do so, he grabbed my shoulder, peering deep into my eyes.
"Did he hurt you?" He asked and immediately, I shook my head in the negative.
Using the tip of his thumb to wipe the dried tears on my face, he said, "But you are sobbing."
Forcing a smile at him, I pulled away, "Something got into my eyes so I was trying to take it off." To make my claim hold water, I began to rub my eyes but he grabbed my hands.
"You are going to hurt yourself."
Smiling at him, I quickly pulled away, "I will be on my way now." I said in a hurry and then bolted off.
