Not Be A Burden

Lilian Mo smiled bitterly. Lin Fang suffered so much in her past life.

Being forced to do something unethical, being fooled and finding out that your own sister was being used like a lab rat, it was no surprise that Lin Fang held a grudge against Dr. Wen and the higher ups, turning him crazy.

In the end, he was able to exact revenge but a lot of innocents died and he lost his humanity and memories in the process. He also died at the hands of Lu Jingren's group that not even his ashes were left.

"Miss Mo, your smile is really beautiful. "

"Miss Mo, I believe that you are much stronger than you think. Please don't think too badly of yourself."

Lilian Mo released a shaky breath. The man in her memories was really admirable.

If only she knew of his predicament much earlier, she could have helped him. But alas, she was still too weak and he ended up dying tragically.

Lilian Mo clenched her fists.

She owed Lin Fang a lot. It was why she would return the favor to him. Lilian Mo saved Lin Jiaojiao for him and to prevent a tragic future for both siblings.

She was also determined to make the girl stronger.

Although Lilian Mo did not want to go to S City's military base, she had to in order to get Lin Fang out of there. However, it would take them at most four to five months to get there if they were to travel and train.

At this point, Lin Fang is still at City B's unfinished base. He would soon be found by a military faction and be carried off to S City.

It was unethical but Lilian Mo has already decided to kill off Dr. Wen before he could rope Lin Fang in. With Dr. Wen's shrewd and obscene personality, as well as loose morals and no regards for human life, he was a scum in Earth that should be eliminated.

This was fine. Lilian Mo wasn't a saint.

She has clear intentions to kill the people that had caused her death in her past life. She was also determined to get rid of those people that had hurt Mu Qingqing.

After experiencing the apocalypse in her past life, her principles had undergone a drastic change.

All those that had hurt her and made her suffer, she would definitely pay them twice the interest!

In the morning, Lin Jiaojiao was rudely awakened by someone shaking her.

It was Mu Qingqing but the voice that spoke came from Mizuki Rei or better known as Mr. Ling by Lilian Mo.

"Jiaojiao, we forgot to tell you but we have a very strict sleeping schedule." Mizuki Rei said.

"In order to integrate yourself in the group, you have to start waking up early before seven in the morning and sleep before nine in the evening. Ten if necessary. I'll also be supervising your training but you'll have to ask Lilian Mo about tips when it comes to your ability. I, myself am not familiar with your barrier ability. But for now, let's all eat breakfast." His words were brief but it was said in a patient tone.

Lin Jiaojiao rubbed her eyes awake and nodded, not wanting to be a burden.

The three of them went to the kitchen and sat on the table. Lilian Mo had already peeled some apples for dessert and was now setting up, each placing a bowl and chopsticks for each member.

Lin Jiaojiao stared at the warm and cold dishes that she could never imagine eating during the apocalypse.

The meat, the fish and vegetables.. She expected instant noodles or biscuits instead of this so she was quite astonished to see a hearty meal instead.

Her eyes watered but she quickly prevented the tears from falling.

How long had she eaten such a good meal?

She couldn't help but feel warm in her heart. It was also her savior who prepared the food which must have taken a lot of effort. Furthermore, they were sharing their food and clothes with her.

Lin Jiaojiao was touched.

She swore that she would own up and stand on her two legs. She no longer wanted to be afraid, in fear that her freedom would be taken again.

She would also contribute and not be a deadweight. She glanced around at the three.

"Big sister Mo, thank you. I'm really grateful that you let me join your team. I also want to thank Big sister Qingqing and Big brother Rei. I will definitely strive to grow stronger and not be a burden!" She said with bright and clear eyes that was filled with determination.
