Planning for the Future

After dropping off Andrew's stuff at the house where he would be staying in the guest room, I drove him to the hospital so he can be with his mom who was getting a check-up.

After that, I drove back home because there were some things I needed to think about and I preferred to do so without being bothered. Especially when it concerns finding out that the world you're in has other worlds.

So, back in my room, laying in bed, I began to go over what I had learned.

'So, I'm in a world with at least one other world, in this case, HIMYM. All things considered, Sitcom worlds are probably the best-case scenario to have added on. Nothing bad ever really happens, besides the occasional family death and episode where they deal with a serious real-world issue, and everyone ends up happy in the end, for the most part.

But, if there are other worlds like those cop shows or something like Quantum Leap, things just got a lot more complicated. Especially because all cop shows have a terrorist episode for some reason.

And that's just TV shows, who knows what else is included? Movies, Books, Games, Anime? First possible aliens and now different worlds. Oh, I'm getting a headache just thinking about it.' I thought as I began to rub my temples to relieve some of the pain.

'Okay. No need to panic. There's no point in dwelling on the unknown. Just like with the potential aliens, the only thing I can do is take it one step at a time and get strong enough that anything that comes my way is not an obstacle. Which means focusing on training my PK.

Not to mention, I can also use my newly acquired Hacking skill to look up characters that I remember from any piece of fiction. If I find them, with all the relevant information correct meaning they are them and not some random person with their name, then I can create a list of confirmed worlds to have an idea of what I'm dealing with. Hopefully, nothing too crazy is here. Like DXD or SCP. God, I hope it's not SCP.'

Sitting down at my desk, I opened up the laptop and cracked my fingers.

"It's hacking time."

"That took a while." I said as I stood up from my desk chair to stretch after having just been sitting down for a few hours looking up all the characters/people that I could remember.

"Unfortunately I don't have a perfect memory. In fact, I have a pretty bad memory when it comes to names but not when it comes to faces. Hope I can get a reward to help with that. It would be useful." I said before going into thought about what kind of rewards I would get in the future.

"Anyway, I don't think these are all the worlds here but it does give me a good idea of what I'm working with. Who knows if any of the worlds are supernatural and they stay away from normal society which I sincerely hope there aren't any. Supernatural things are always a pain in the ass."

Picking up the piece of paper, I began to reread the worlds I had discovered were here. Thankfully it did not include any of the major ones I was worried about like Marvel or DC, but if SCP is here I would never know since the Foundation's whole purpose is to not let civilians know about the existence of SCPs.

But the worlds that were here ranged from Sitcoms like Friends, which I discovered by finding Dr. Ross Geller's student record at Columbia, and HIMYM, discovered by the Goliath National Bank ad, to Dramas like Law and Order, found by going through NYPD employment records, and Jack Ryan the TV version which was found by going through CIA employment records.

Obviously, all this was done without a trace thanks to Barbara Gordan's Hacking skills which made everything so easy. It was as if their doors were wide open allowing me to rummage through their house.

Anyway, the TV shows were not the only ones I found. I also found Anime like Food Wars and Love is War, and Movies like Fast and the Furious and John Wick, which was not as hard as I thought it would be considering they use old-school tech since I found his records from his time served in the Marines.

All in all the world is still relatively normal, all things considered, which put me slightly at ease, but that didn't mean I would let my guard down because who knows what's still out there unbeknownst to me.

"A lot of crime-related works here. I hope none of those worlds spill out to my friends and family. But that's all for the future. The most important thing I have to do right now is train, finally. Let me go get a bucket of water."

Done with worrying about the future for the moment, I went to the garage to get a bucket before going to the bathroom and turning on the faucet.

As I waited for the bucket to fill up, I realized something.

"I'm a dumbass." I said as I realized that I was filling up a bucket to use in a bathtub instead of just filling up the bathtub which I promptly started to fill after putting the bucket back sans water.

"Now time to train."

Sorry for the very short chapter but my annual seasonal depression has recently started and it's pretty much sapped me of my motivation to write, which is why there was no chap on Friday. And while I was contemplating just not uploading until I wrote a usual length chapter, I decided to just upload it anyway. Anyway, like every year, I'll get through it. And if anyone else is going through it, so will you.

I'm not going to mention all the worlds nor how many because I don't even know all the ones I want to add yet. Some of the worlds I add will be just for fun/background and will have zero impact on the story nor will he interact with them i.e. some of the sitcoms/slice-of-life ones. Or if he does, they'll be brief interactions and nothing more.

Also a bit of a time skip in the next chap.
