Chapter 8: A Rich Kid

"Are we gonna rent a Chauffeur?"

"Wouldn't a limo be better?"

"Are you gonna pay for it?"

"But you sure don't wonna look different, do you?"

"We've rented a lamborghini, so we just need to rent a driver, that's all, you don't need a limo."

They were at the kitchen, eating the cookies their mother prepared. Cherry was standing beside the freezer, while Tom sat in front of her. Their parents were at the dinning table, just watching the two argue.

" Mom, won't you tell Tom to stop mentioning a limo, we only need a driver, right dad?"

"We have a driver already."

He waited for them to react before he continued.

"If it's your first time on the Island, you must rent a driver if you are to rent a car, cause you can be familiar with the road, even if you can read the map well, it's a must you get a driver."

"How do they even know if it's one's first time?"

"Beats me."

They all laugh for some while, and when everywhere was silent

"Can I ask a question?"

"You can ask when you are done dressing."

This was a hint they would soon be on their way.

Cherry was on her way to her room when she was stopped by her mother.

"Cherry."

"Yes mum." she was right at the door of her room.

"Will you need help with the makeup?"

"No, I can manage, you just should wait to see my dress."

"Young Master it's almost time."

Stepping into his office, Hermia saw him looking through some documents.

"Young Master, you......"

He raised his hand to silence her, he kept going through the documents on the table, ignoring her presence. He closed the last one before raising his head.

"Let Michael arrive, I don't have to explain myself twice."

"Yes Young Master."

"Sit."

She sat in his office, while Lucian went to his dressing room.

Some minutes later, Michael came in.

"Where's Lucian?"

That was the first thing on his mind, he was to make sure Lucian fulfilled his promise to those gray heads.

"He's changing."

"Better."

Micheal sat on a sofa, but the moment he sat, Lucian stepped out of his dressing room.

Micheal stood up to greet Lucian with a slight bow.

"Young Master."

"Sit"

They both sat down. Now, Hermia and Micheal were waiting for him to break the silence.

"Hermia."

"Yes Young Master."

"Inform the workers there would be a week holiday."

"Yes Young Master."

Hermia sure was happy, seems like her prayers were answered.

Lucian turned to face Micheal, then with a smile

"I would be going .... "

"Oh thank good Lord."

"But not with you."

"What!"

"I am not going there as CEO of NOVA WORLD, but as a rich kid."

Now Micheal was short on words, was this a joke.

"You promised."

"And that I am fulfilling."

"Which excuse do you have?"

"Find something to tell them." he stood up, ready to leave "Hermia is coming along with me."

"Oh my gosh!"

Tom almost bit his lower lip from excitement, he never knew his sister could be so pretty. Hehe,many men would pay so much attention on her and shower her with praises.

Cherry wore the black dress she bought with Lara's help. And yes, her family were stunned.

John on the other hand saw this as an opportunity to make closer to Jiang, doing business with Jiang would be a blessing.
