He Zifeng looked more dazed as Chen Kaori continued to stay in a coma. He looked out his office window after his work was done early as he did not even stop for a meal.

Su Lianghao talked to him about her situation and he was starting to lose hope.

He Zifeng chuckled as he thought about the irony of him depending on Su Lianghao to cure Chen Kaori.

Back in high school, he could still remember how he shut down all hopes for Su Lianghao.

.

He Zifeng first noticed that Su Lianghao was taking interest on Chen Kaori in the middle of their first year in high school.

It was in art class, the teacher asked everyone to pair up and draw a portrait of each other.

Chen Kaori tried to approach He Zifeng, but he was immediately surrounded by other girls.

He Zifeng, towering the people surrounding him, saw her expression dimmed, but she put out a slight smile as she moved her easel across the art room.

Suddenly, a boy approached Chen Kaori and it looked like he asked her to be his partner. Chen Kaori's face lit up as she nodded and they chose an area of the room to set up their easels to face each other.

He Zifeng became irritated and grabbed his best buddy, Jiang Jinwei, who was about to approach a girl, and declared, "Sorry. He will pair up with me."

"He Zifeng! You-! It's my chance to approach Meng..." Jiang Jinwei was about to complain as he was dragged across the room.

"Can you draw her well?" He Zifeng interrupted him with a question.

"Uh, well...no..."

"Do you want her to see your drawing of her face?"

Jiang Jinwei realized that he did not think the situation through, and became silently thankful that his friend took him away. 'Wait, why is it me? Where is Chen Kaori?' he thought as his eyes roamed to look for her.

When Jiang Jinwei spotted Chen Kaori working with another guy, he realized why he felt cold.

He Zifeng stood behind him, glaring at the pair who started working on their portraits.

Jiang Jinwei dragged He Zifeng across the other corner of the room and set up their easels.

He Zifeng sat before the blank paper, but his eyes remained fixed on Chen Kaori. His brow twitched as she smiled and laughed with another boy.

"Young Master He, are you alright if I can only draw a stick figure of you?" Jiang Jinwei tried to loosen the tension.

He Zifeng glanced at him and said in monotone, "Do whatever you want. If you repeat a year for failing art class, then it's your fault."

After saying that, He Zifeng grabbed a pencil and started drawing, but he was not looking at his partner for reference.

Jiang Jinwei knew that He Zifeng was drawing Chen Kaori, so he clicked his tongue, stood up and approached Chen Kaori.

"Kaori..."

Chen Kaori turned her head to see who called out and was surprised that it was Jiang Jinwei. "Eh...what's up?"

"Kaori...you know his temper...he will kill me if I make a bad drawing of him." Jiang Jinwei gestured to point to He Zifeng with his head.

Chen Kaori's gaze followed the gesture and saw He Zifeng frowning. She instantly believed that Jiang Jinwei will be in big trouble. She has good drawing skills ever since she could hold a pencil, so she was quite confident that she could do He Zifeng's looks justice.

"Please?" Jiang Jinwei pretended to plead for his life.

Chen Kaori sighed and turned to Su Lianghao, "Sorry, I have to help him." Then she took her sketch pad to walk towards He Zifeng.

Jiang Jinwei hurried before her to get his own pad and dashed back to where Su Lianghao was stationed.

As Chen Kaori sat down, she and the guy before her both concealed a smile.
