A truce

A week has passed now and the soldiers at the border are getting tired of boredom still, they couldn't leave since the groggs were still camping there at the west.

At this time, all the villagers had continued their normal daily life activities.

Finally, another attack had occured and the same process repeated itself but this time most soldiers were more dependent on Jade's help.

Though the villages were holding their ground, still their army were depleting gradually and this time they knew the groggs won't give up until they annihilate the whole villagers.

In fact, Razeki and Maneki village had lost thirty percent of their army.

This realization caused the other two villages to ask for a truce from Takeki village based on their little significant loss in their army which was all thanks to a certain person.

Even with how popular Jade was getting day by day not even the king knew of it since captain Drek was not including it in his report.

The king called a meeting among the seven pillars of the village in order to discuss their answer to the village.

"What do you think about the request, commander Drek? This would give us an upper hand against the groggs." The king asked during the meeting.

"Your majesty, I agree with you. Our soldiers are going down bit by bit, each time they attack. If we ally with other villages we might be able to fend off the enemies." Commander Drek replied.

"Any objections?" The king asked.

The room was silent and with no one objecting, the king agreed.

"Well then, send a message indicating that we accepted the truce." The king said, adjourning the meeting.

"On it, your majesty" Commander Drek said, standing up to leave.

They all left just as soon as they came and the truce was formed within the three villages.

Sooner they would have a meeting to discuss about their joint attack.

The soldiers at the border through the repetition of the current occurrence have became accustomed to each other.

Jade was sitting at the front of their tent with Casey, Mark and Rhen.

"It seems like you just keep getting stronger and faster. Huh." Mark commented, trying to fix his amplifier glove.

"It's probably because of the current experience, you know!" Jade replied nervously.

"So do you still plan on doing your search?"Rhen asked.

"Yeah sure."Jade replied immediately.

"Don't you think, you've become a life saver to some soldiers? Soldiers might start dying here and there if you leave." Mark asked.

"I'm not sure they would really need me since the three villages have formed a truce, they would be more useful life savers. I heard the Razeki clan are really good with speed and even better than I am, so! No offense made."Jade replied with an assuring tone.

"You are probably right but who would trust a total stranger not to mention a rival to put his or her life in their hands? Maybe you think they would choose us over their family." Casey said, as she stood up from the sit and walk up to Jade." You probably don't know but some of the soldiers life are in your hands now."

"That's right Jade, even they might have not realized the number of times they've been saved by you cause we are becoming a virtual family." Mark said, dusting the gloves. The three conversing were technically trying to persuade Jade into staying in the village.

"Are you guys saying I shouldn't leave cause you are really giving me all the credit, making me sound like some kind of hero." Jade said, sounding serious.

"You never really know how useful something is until you lose it Jade, war is a life and death situation we don't want to risk you leaving. Who knows how long it would take before you find your answers and come back.... that's if you plan on doing so anyway." Rhen said, adjusting close to Jade.

"I'm really sorry, but try putting yourself in my shoes, living a life you don't even know about nor how it originated."Jade said. Sadly everything the three was saying were not in the least convincing as Jade had already made up his mind long ago.

"What about Saz? Does he know about your plans?" Rhen asked. Rhen thought if anybody couldn't get to Jade, Saz might but the thing is, once Jade makes up his mind, there's no going back.

"No he doesn't, i haven't gone back to the village since we came here. I plan on informing him when leaving."Jade said, walking away from them then he stopped." And don't think of asking him to convince me, I've made up my mind."

It was like Jade read all their minds when he said that. Basically, the reason the new soldiers were more interactive with each other was because of Jade. They couldn't imagine themselves discussing without Jade presence.

"Wait! When do you plan on leaving?"Rhen asked before Jade left.

"As soon as the date for the joint attack is set, whenever that is."Jade said, leaving the group.

The three left stared at him till he got out of sight.

"So what do plan on doing?" Mark asked, turning to Rhen who was approaching the tent.

"What do you mean?" Rhen asked trying to sound confused.

"Don't ask me what I meant, you know what I mean?" Mark replied, seriously.

'Oh boy!' Rhen exclaimed inwardly. "I don't plan on doing anything."

"You are going to follow him aren't you?" Mark asked before she could enter the tent but she didn't even wait to answer.

"What! Is that even possible, Mr Hegs would cry out blood. To him, Rhen is his greatest forged weapon." Casey exclaimed, bewilderedly.

"All the more reason he might let her go and that's if she asked for permission."Mark said, putting on the amplifier gloves.

"Where do you get this your crazy ideas and thoughts from?!" Casey asked Mark who just shrugged without replying.

"I guess it time to switch, the others are back "Mark informed, walking towards their post with his gloves equipped.

"Captain Drek said the meeting is taking place next tomorrow, because of security purpose they'll have to do it digitally using television live call." Peter said, informing Mark who they met on the way.

"And where would they get a communicative tv?"Mark thought, without being shocked.

"Your dad of course, that would be easy for him to get since he's in Visgard." Kell immediately replied excitedly.

"Is it my imaginations or I've kinda never seen mark excited about anything?" Cindy commented, referring to the others.

"I do get excited about my inventions." Mark replied, moving forward.

"Like what?" Billy asked.

"If you want to know, visit me in the future." Mark replied without turning or stopping.

"Why weren't we informed generally?" Casey asked, also approaching them.

"I guess captain Drek doesn't want to disrupt your rest so he prefers to reinform the rest." Cindy answered and the four all went to the tent to relax.

At the evening of the same day a drone carrying a large rectangular plain box which everyone knew obviously what was inside went across the village and arrived at it destination, the king's palace.

With the arrival of the communicative tv everything were properly arranged the next day. Now, all they were waiting for was the day of the meeting.

Finally the day had arrived. What would be the plan and strategy created against the groggs?
