Chapter Sixty Three

"(y/n) are you coming?!" Mina checked in, you stood in your dorm room holding your phone in your hand.

"Huh?" You watched her walk in.

"We are all gonna make dinner together and watch a movie!" Mina was excited about the smallest things.

"Yeah?" You asked, looking at your phone holding a two percent battery life. You carelessly tossed it on your bed not caring about it right now. All Might was out with his friend grabbing drinks, he is the only one who would be calling you. "You gonna sneak off again and call your man toy?"

"H-He is not my man!" Mina choked on her water bottle.

"Yet." You added with a laugh.

"Oh, just go!" Mina pushed you with her free hand and you laughed.

"Wow Bakugo you're really good with a knife!" Toru gawked.

"It's kind of weird." Ochaco commented as you and Mina rounded the corner entering the kitchen.

"What the hell you mean it's weird!?" Bakugo snapped, "How can you all be so damn bad at everything!?"

"Hey (y/n)-" Asui noticed you and Mina entering the kitchen. "-how's your leg?"

"Huh?" Kirishima turned from peeling potatoes. "What would be wrong with your leg?"

"Oh-!" Mina realized the boys wouldn't know. "-(y/n)'s leg was bleeding really bad-"

"It was not bad-" You were cut off by concerned mixed voices.

"Are you ok!?" Midoriya walked over.

"Yeah, what happened!?" Kirishima demanded to know.

"When we were all changing in the locker rooms, (y/n) removed her pants and blood was everywhere."

"It was not everywhere." You butted in, "It was a little blood, I'm fine, my leg is fine stop staring at me like I am going to fall apart."

"You should go sit down." Kirishima suggested.

"I don't need to." You replied, "My leg has long stopped bleeding-"

"Why was it bleeding in the first place!?" Kirishima touched your shoulder, Bakugo's eyes instantly narrowed onto his friend's hand.

"Those boys-" Toru answered for you, "-I guess they put a lot of pressure on her wound which made it reopen."

"Alright-" You turned from the concerned group. "-I'm over with this conversation so what still needs to be done?"

"Nothing!" Your class answered, "Go rest."

"I don't need rest." You groaned.

"To bad!" Toru giggled, "You're going to get it."

You were banished to the couch, only able to watch your class from afar while listening to the rain outside. Dinner thanks to Bakugo's lead was delicious. After cleanup which you still weren't allowed to help with, your class all settled down for a movie by vote.

"That was so good!" Toru laughed as the credits rolled onto the screen.

"Man-" Kirishima checked his phone, "-it's only seven, so what should we do?"

"How about another movie?" Sero suggested. "I'm feeling lazy!"

"Yeah!" Mina agreed, "But a scary one this time!"

"No!" Toru whinnied, not liking scary movies.

The class discussion was interrupted by a knock of the door before it slowly opened.

"Mr. Principle?" Midoriya spoke first, "What are you doing here?"

"Students-" Mr. Principle's voice was seldom grim. "-will you give us some space."

"Huh?"

"We need to speak with (y/n) alone." Mr. Principle clarified; two police officers stood behind the short mouse like man.

"Uh-" Class 1-A looked to each other than to you worriedly. "-sure..."

"Thank you." Mr. Principle nodded, watching the students get up and slowly take their leave. You sat on the couch, a plate filled with chips.

"How then-" One police officer stepped forward; "-we need to talk."

Mina, Kirishima, Midoriya, Shoto, and Bakugo, all huddled together around the corner out of sight.

"Ok-" You responded; "-can I still eat?"

"Of course." Mr. Principle nods, "We know about your healing quirk."

"So, what do I owe the pleasure?" You wondered.

"This is Officer Maeda-" Mr. Principle spoke, "-and his partner, they have questions for you and I am here to act as your guardian since All Might and Aizawa are unavailable at the moment."

"Ok?" You say,

"These past few months-" Officer Maeda spoke taking the lead, taking a seat across from you. "-we have been going over every inch of the warehouse you were held in."

"Mhm." You hummed, "Why do I care about this?"

"You need to care because we believe we have pieced together a few...details, that doesn't exactly leave you in the best light." Officer Maeda explained, "Eizo Tanuma has already gone over my head and contacted the authorities."

"Do you care to enlighten me on what you think you have pieced together?" You popped a chip in your mouth.

"Did you or did you not just make aware that you have siblings?" Officer Maeda questioned.

"I did." You replied.

"What do you mean by 'did'?"

"They are dead."

"What do you mean?"

"Shadow Jack killed them."

"Why?"

"Because I wouldn't do my job."

"What was your job?"

"At the time, to kill the chief of police."

"Why didn't you complete your job?"

"Because I don't kill innocent people."

"But-" Officer Maeda dissected your answered, "-you do kill people."

"I only did what your heroes couldn't."

"Care to elaborate on what that means?"

"I have noticed a majority of the pro-heroes hold themselves to this romanticized commercial standard that they believe heroes should be."

"And what is wrong with that?"

"The sad matter of fact is some people just have to die in order to protect the majority."

"Like those Nomu you tore apart at your summer camp?"

"I don't know what those things were, but I do know they weren't human."

"They were actually. We have discovered Nomu are created from corpses." Officer Maeda pointed out, as if that would tug at your heart strings.

"You mean from already dead people?"

"Yes."

"If that is the case then why are you looking at me like I'm the one who killed those individuals and made them into those things that almost killed every student in classes 1-A and 1-B?"

"(y/n)-"

"I did what I had to do in order to keep them alive, I don't see you giving anyone else who was there that night shit-"

"You are in fact the only one to kill-"

"You said it yourself-" You cut the officer off, "-those things were already dead, maybe if you saw how those creatures tore apart Yui's clones like they were made of fucking cotton candy you wouldn't be looking at me like I belong behind bars!"

"Why didn't you subdue it?" Officer Maeda replied while thunder cracked against the sky.

"If I could have I would." You answered, "I almost lost my own life against those things."

"Alright." Mr. Principle stepped in, "(y/n) is not in trouble for what happened that night, that case has already been closed."

"Very well-" Officer Maeda shifted on the couch, "your siblings, who were they?"

"What does that matter?" You questioned, "They have been dead for years."

"We believe they were high up in Shadow Jack's chain of command."

"They were."

"You admit that?"

"I don't have anything to hide." You shrugged.

"If that's the case, tell me about them then."

"My sister-" You willingly went along with the interrogation. "-she was known as 'Puzzle'."

"Why?"

"Because she was the person who came up with all of Shadow Jack's fun little torture designs."

"And your brother?"

"He was 'Tank', the muscle who kept everyone in line."

"And what about you?" Officer Maeda inquired, "What was your role in this trio?"

"The fuck up." You answered.

"What?"

"I already told you this story seven different ways."

"Then make it eight."

"I don't kill innocent people. Shadow Jack had a problem with that so he locked me up inside a shoe box."

"Why not just kill you? Why did he kill your siblings if they were so much more useful to him?"

"I never said they were more useful than me."

"What does that mean?"

"My two siblings and I are half related."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"We all held different mothers, that was the difference between us." You explained, "My body could handle it when that sick fuck of a doctor altered my DNA, I was the perfect test subject. My siblings on the other hand rejected the experiment."

"Test subject for what?"

"I was only born with one quirk-" You filled in the dense officer. "-my wind quirk is my original."

"Then how...you-you mean to tell me Shadow Jack found a way to medically give people quirks!?"

"I don't know." You shrugged.

"What do you mean you don't know!?"

"I'm sorry-" You smiled, -when I was tied up in that chair, while they were slicing and dicing me open, I wasn't really interested in getting to learn how the science worked!"

"Officer." Mr. President warned, seeing he was pushing you over a line.

"I understand your sister tried to kill you?" Officer Maeda changed topics.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because Shadow Jack was going to kill her."

"Why?"

"Because I wouldn't do my job."

"Why?"

"Because I don't kill innocent people!"

"But I thought you loved your siblings, why not do everything to save them?"

"I do love them."

"You still do?" Officer Maeda blinked, "Even after everything they have done?"

"Of course." You replied, "They were my blood."

"They were murders, criminals-!"

"I know." You nodded, "Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to like them."

"Is that how your siblings felt about you?"

"I don't know." You shrug, "I'm not them, but I assume so."

"How can you be sure?"

"Because my sister gave me an out, she never did that for anyone else."

"An out?"

"For my death." You corrected your statement, "She gave me a way to save my life, I assume it was because she loved me, I was her little sister."

"How did she give you an out?"

"She tied me up, put me in handcuffs but left the key."

"She just gave you the key?"

"In a way..."

"In what way!?"

"She forced me to swallow it."

"S-Swallow the key?"

"Mhm." You nod, "Then she placed a bag over my head and lit the room on fire."

"Wh-What!? How is that showing she loved you!?"

"I never said she wasn't a sick bitch."

"Ho-How did you survive that?"

"Shadow Jack."

"He saved you!?"

"Yes."

"Why!?"

"Because the doctor wasn't done with his experiments."

"He continued to perform experiments on you?"

"Everyday."

"Is there anything else Officer?" Mr. Principle asked, his stomach sour from hearing more pieces of your past.

"One last thing-" The officer rose from the couch, his partner quickly following suit. "-where are your parents?"

"My who?"

"More so your father, where is he?"

"I think he is out with friends right now-"

"I am not talking about Toshinori-" Officer Maeda clarified, "-where is your biological father?"

"Oh I don't know." You casually waved off.

"What do you mean-"

"I haven't seen the guy since he sold me off-" You cut in him, feeling tense from stirring up the past. "-I'm not even sure if (l/n) is his real name."

"Your mother?"

"I assumed she has gone off the grid."

"What do you-?" The partner finally speaks up.

"When my father sold me off, he said if she kept quite then she was free of him. I assume she vanished after that, especially since her only kid was able to pass that doctors experiments."

"Anything else Officer?" Mr. Principle questioned.

"No." Officer Maeda breathed through his nose, looking at you up and down before saying: "We will be in touch."

"Of course." Mr. Principle nodded, before turning to you. "I am deeply sorry for bringing up your past (y/n), but we just want to make sure we can prepare to counter anything Eizo may throw at us."

"I trust you-" You nod to Mr. Principle. "-not so much you." You said looking at the officer with a bored expression.
