Something I shouldn't have known

I'm not kidding, you know? Back on Earth, I used to like this football team in my city. Ah, and when I say football, I mean the sport where we kick a ball using our foot and not the other one. The other is termed rugby and no one can refute me on that. I mean, don't you think it is weird to call a sport in which we primarily use our hands football? Like, it never made sense to me. Anyhow, when this team signed new players into their team, they used to hype the shite out of it. And whenever they do that, the player performs piss poorly which leads to fan backlash. It was truly a never ending cycle.
And what I mean to say by this is that I don't want the subordinate's name to end up as a disappoiintment as well.
