Afraid of him?
With his wife's sudden request for him to look after a child, Lee Shira was dumbfounded. He remained staring at Aryen with disbelief while suspicion arises in his mind.
Aryen should be aware he doesn't know how to take care a child. He is a CEO of a big company, considered a king yet his wife wanted him to be a babysitter.
Throughout his observations, Aryen is suspiciously staring at the child with a deep meaning on her eyes that Lee Shira felt there's something between them.
Speculations began to form in his mind. Lee Shira recalled that his wife and brother-in-law were talking about Aryen having a daughter.
His thoughts keep on asking himself. 'Are they be referring to the little girl? Is it the reason why she wanted to stay here? Is it not because of Mei Joan?'
With full of questions Lee Shira turned his gaze back to the little girl with her little arms still around his leg. In his thoughts. 'Not afraid of me?'
Her face doesn't show any expressions while staring at him, unlike with normal children who should be smiling or at least try to show pity on their eyes.
Although Lee Shira admitted that he doesn't show any expressions on his face, the little girl is too young to do the same as him.
At least a smile should appear on her lips, but her eyes shows nothing. It was very unusual to see a little girl who doesn't have any emotions though, especially when she doesn't move. Anyone can completely think she was just a statue.
Scrutinizing the child's features, Lee Shira arched his brows as he realized that there was a bit of resemblance between the little girl and his wife.
Especially the child's eyes that keeps on changing into different colours. Aryen's translucent green jade eyes were almost the same whenever the little girl's eyes changed into luminous green.
Despite that Aryen was still a virgin when he took her, Lee Shira can't help but think that if she wasn't, the little girl is no doubt her daughter.
Lee Shira decided. He turned his head to look at Mei Joan. "You can continue, I'll look after her." he uttered with his same cold voice.
Without any changes on his expressionless face, Lee Shira looked back at the little girl who suddenly released his leg from her grip; placed the bottle of milk on the mini table, raised and opened her arms towards him.
Lee Shira: "..."
Aryen: "..." Isn't she afraid of him?
Mei Joan: "..." Sweetheart, what are you doing?
Seeing the little girl asking for Lee Shira to take her on his arms, all of them were dumbstruck. Who would believe that despite Lee Shira's expressionless and scary face, a cute little girl would actually want him to carry her.
It took a minute before Lee Shira decided to put down his laptop on the mini table and felt hesitant to carry the little girl. He didn't know what to do of course!
He has no choice, rather than his wife to feel bad about it. Lee Shira finally bent over as he took the little girl and placed her to sit next to him.
But the little girl suddenly hold his wrist, not letting go while she keeps on staring intently at Lee Shira.
Lee Shira: "???"
Without any expressions on the little girl's face, Lee Shira can only guess what she wants. He secretly frowned before taking her to sit on his lap, but she grabbed his collar.
Lee Shira: "..."
Surprisingly, the little girl stood on his lap and faced him. Her little arms hooked on Lee Shira's neck that made his body stiffened.
A smile on her cherry little lips appeared. It was like a morning sunshine that lighten the blooming flowers, followed by a small kiss on his lips before leaning her head on Lee Shira's neck.
