Ch. 12 Part 1

It's been almost a month now since Lin Yu'an came to this era. His relationship with Yu ger was no longer awkward like it used to be and he had taken nursed Yu ger and the twins back to good health. They no longer looked malnourished and sickly like when he first saw came here. Li'an and Luo had grown more meat looking tenderly and good looking. They no longer dressed in patched and over washed clothes but rather dressed like rich young masters earning jealousy from children alike and parents. And Yu ger who already was handsome became more handsome with his skin and body glowing with charm, and with his demeanor he looked more and more like high ranking scholars making the young and unmarried girls and gers envy him more and more wishing more that they had his life.

Ever since Lin Yu'an showed his medical skills and was able to wash away the stains which the previous owner had left on him, he had become the center of every talk in villages and the town. The peasants families could only look at him and his family with envy as they try to scurry favors with him and approach him on several occasions. But Lin Yu'an being the type who doesn't like to indulge people, made it so the people with thoughts of bathing in his glory had no chances to even approach him. For the past few days several families in the villages had come to him with their sons in hopes of him taking them under his wings and teach them medicine, but Lin Yu'an always rejected them without a second thought. He had yet to make up his mind to train assistants or nurses and the real reason he constantly rejected was that, even if he wanted to take people under his wings he wasn't going to choose half-assed people.

It wasn't that he didn't want to teach the people of this era the medicals skills of his era, but it was that he only chooses the best and people he deemed trust worthy and not those who come to him with other thoughts in mind and half-assed resolves. He would only teach those who really wanted to learn, it didn't matter whether they'll work for him after he teaches them or they'll work for others or Open their own clinics. But as long as they were ready to learn and use it well he'll teach, and anyways he also has bad intention in mind too since if others learn the medical skills of the 21st century then people would no longer think that his medical skills were different and great. And he'll be able to do the things he wants to do with no hindrance of any sort and with that thought in mind he thought it would be a win-win situation for all.

Ever since he came back from the town after checking up on his patient, he had holed himself up at home busy With researching and producing alcohol. Without some necessary equipments his research was limited, but with his knowledge of alcohol he could still produce some now. But to make it exactly like the ones in his era he needed to upgrade the system mall to be able to access the equipments and tools. Lin Yu'an had been so busy in alcohol making that even when he heard the news of Ye Xiong's gamble house launching new card games he wasn't able to go and have a look, as a shareholder he had to be presented when those cards were launched. He had to see for himself whether the card games had good reactions from the gamblers and the impact, but to it didn't matter much since he had absolute faith in himself that the person he chose as a business partner wouldn't betray or try to cheat him. Lin Yu'an doesn't trust and put his faith in others, it's his judgment he trusts most with the thought that whoever he chooses he wouldn't choose half-assedly.

After his try and error for weeks Lin Yu'an's hard work had finally paid off, he was very careful when he was making the alcohol. This time he chose to make an apple Brandy which he wanted to make it almost even if it wasn't exactly but it should be almost close to the ones sold in his era. And he had finally achieved good results of it after losts of try and error. As the sample for his business it had to be perfect before presenting it to the other parties, Lin Yu'an could've just bought it from the system mall but he didn't want that.

He wanted to mass produce alcohol and liquor in this era, he thought it wouldn't end well if he depended on the system for everything so things which he could make himself would be researched on and produce here himself. Lin Yu'an made 2 big wine jars of apple Brandy, one with the alcohol concentration around 10% to 20% and the other around 60%. It was one of the reasons why he failed when he was making the alcohol, because he wanted to produce a fixed percentage of alcohol concentration. And yet still he wanted to produce alcohol with higher percentage of alcohol concentration but they all failed, Lin Yu'an wasn't disheartened. He still thinks he can accomplish it when he has access to more research equipments.

Today was the day Lin Yu'an was opening the alcohol jars after achieving his first ever alcohol making in this era, to him it was his first step into alcohol business in this era so he was very happy. The brandy was transferred to small type jars which which were used to sell wines in restaurants, brothels and other places that sold wines. The jar he used to make the brandy in was able to fill up to five small jars making ten small jars. He got five small jars of high percentage of alcohol and another five small jars of low alcohol percentage. A small jar of wine was sold for 2 taels of silvers, but Lin Yu'an wasn't going to sell his alcohol at the same price. He's was much better and didn't have the bitter taste the wines produced in this era had, he already priced it in his mind which was 5 taels of silvers and he was absolutely sure that it would sell well.

After dealing with the brandy Lin Yu'an prepared a feast, he wanted to celebrate his accomplishment with his family and they were also happy to accompany him. Yu ger and the kids helpee set the table, Lin Yu'an brought over two jars of brandy. One with low alcohol and the other with high along with wine cups. He also bought a glass of brandy from the 21st century in the system mall, he wanted Yu ger to taste it and compare it with what he made. He poured for Yu ger a cup from 21st century brandy for a taste and waited with anticipations.

Yu ger took a sip first smacking his lips as the wine wafted in his mouth and nose, tasting the strong taste of the liquor. He smacked his lips a few taste before finishing the cup " how was it?" Lin Yu'an asked with a smile and the kids also watched then with curiosity. " brother Yu'an it's really delicious and smells good too, such a wine has never been seen here. I could even taste a fruity taste in it, it's a good wine!" Yu ger said in excitements and he lamented on the after taste, Lin Yu'an scoffed seeing him acting that way with his face starting to flush with blush. "okay now taste this" he poured Yu ger a cup again from the jar with high alcohol percentage, Yu ger taste it too sip after sip. " how does it taste?" Lin Yu'an asked again. "hm, brother Lin Yu'an it taste almost no different from the first one. Just there's a slight difference in their taste! Brother Yu'an you really did it!"

Yu ger was so excited that he wished he could jump around, he saw how hard Lin Yu'an worked to make this alcohol. Yu ger even wished to help him lessen his burdens but he knew nothing of what Lin Yu'an was doing so he could only watch and ran a few meaningless errands for Lin Yu'an, it made Yu ger felt that he was useless and was only depending on Lin Yu'an. Well that was only his thoughts but Lin Yu'an himself had no such thoughts, Lin Yu'an for the first time in his life had started to open his heart and trust to someone else in both lives. It was something he would never have done in his past life so he was on edge and alerted when he noticed such changes in himself, but being with Yu ger this whole month Lin Yu'an came to a conclusion. It was because it was Yu ger that was why he fell, it was because around Yu ger he felt warmth which he used to yearn for and felt the innocent love Yu ger was showing to him without Yu ger himself noticing.

Those innocent eyes of him with no greed in them, his innocent way of thinking and talking. At first he could tell that Yu ger stayed because there was nowhere else to go and that it was the only choice he had, but as time went on he could see and tell that Yu ger's previous thoughts were no longer there. Now he stayed because he wanted to and that with him(LY) there was no gains attached just Yu ger's innocence, Yu ger had never asked him for anything and even if he wanted to give Yu ger things Yu ger was hesitant to take them without working hard for them and thanked him whole heartedly.

Lin Yu'an came to like his childlike innocence very much thinking Yu ger was gullible. Looking at Yu ger who was more happier then him who was researching on alcohol for business, Lin Yu'an couldn't help but be affected by Yu ger's excited mood. He leaned over to Yu ger and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, Yu ger froze not making a move or sound. After staying like that for like a minute Lin Yu'an pulled away and sat back in his place with a teasing smirk forming on his lips. Yu ger met with his gaze with his eyes wide opened in shocked and his face to neck red like a monkey's butt, seeing that Lin Yu'an chuckled and gulped down alcohol straight from the glass bottle. Seeing his carefree and unembarrassed looked Yu ger glanced at the kids who had their eyes closed with their hands, Yu ger became more embarrassed and shy wishing he could dig a hole there and burry himself ah! The kids were there and Lin Yu'an just did such thing! " try this too" seeing him look like he would rather faint than be seated there, Lin Yu'an offered him a cup from the last jar to help him hide away his embarrassed look.
