Ren looked at the approaching group and had already selected his first targets, starting with the chunin and working his way up.

And so he disappeared and reappeared behind the group, Ren pulled out a scroll and unsealed a sword as lightning chakra quickly began to run through it.

He didn't pause as he dashed forward.

AHHH!!!

A chunin cried out as Ren's sword priced through his chest, as the group reacted quickly and dispersed and surrounded Ren watching for his next move, they didn't have to wait long as Ren once again seemed to disappear.

"Kenji watch out!!" One of the root shinobi shouted but it was too late Ren's sword had already priced another of the chunin's chest, but as it did a heat appeared bearing down on him.

Ren quickly dropped the sword and jumped to the side, as a blue ball of chakra appeared in his hand.

The spot he was previously at exploded as the ball of fire landed, Ren looked through the smoke covering the area and jumped.

Four Kunai burst through the smoke and embedded themselves in the earth, Ren looked down at them a disappeared once again.

Ren had struck again killing another chunin, breaking the encirclement, and ending up behind the group once again.

Ren quickly made a few seals.

Ren sensed the remaining chunin and targeted them with eight blades of highly condensed winds and none of them managed to dodge.

Ren watch as their bodies fell to the ground cut in half in different ways, then he turned his attention to the jonin present, and they two would be easy to takeout.

"Swift release; Shadowless flight."

As Ren performed the Jutsu, wind bullets and fireballs came crashing toward him, but it was too slow as his increased speed acted and he disappeared.

As the explosion sounded as a scream echoed, Ren Killed another jonin crushing his opponent's heart literally.

The lifeless body dropped to the ground, and Ren's bloodied hand shined with lightning.

"Chidori."

Having already sensed the location of the remaining four jonin he disappeared and one by one they were killed before the smoke clearly leaving only the two elite jonin who were smart enough to be standing back to back covering each other.

Ren looked at them and smiled, even though he didn't need it, it would hurt to have another Hyuga corpse, especially one as strong as an elite jonin.

"Nav, Can't you find him with your Byakugan?"

"No."

When Ren appeared his hands were already through the chest of the two ninjas, they were dead.

All the enemies were dealt with, Ren took the only corpse that had value and left to catch up with his team.

As Ren had already dealt with the attack, there was no reason to really travel the rest of the way, as Ren used space release and the group returned to the village much faster.

It had been a couple of hours since the group returned and Ren's student had already been promoted to chunin by the Tsuchikage, after which they left the office leaving Ren alone with the Tsuchikage.

" How are things in the leaf?"

" Not bad enough to start a war." Ren answered.

" Mhm, I figured but war might not be as far off as we had hoped, the village hidden in the cloud and the village hidden in the sand have made their intention known by increasing their activities on other countries' borders."

" The village hidden in the cloud has increased its presence on our border?'Ren asked clearly surprised by this news.

" They have, just like how the sand has done to the leaf, they are testing our response." the Tsuchikage says.

" So what should we do?' Ren questioned.

" You say the leaf is still strong, then we won't increase our troop there, but seeing as the cloud is looking for trouble we have to respond to them.

Thankfully no Kage-level ninjas have been reported on the cloud side."

"So who are we going to send?" Ren asked.
