The time had now come for Ren and the genin to return to the hidden stone. As he was unaware of the decision made by Hurizen, Ren was still looking forward to an attack keeping track of everything happening within his vast sensory range.

The Stone shinobi stood at the gate of the hidden leaf as the genin checked their fears before setting off while Ren looked deep into the village in the direction of the Senju compound.

'Mhm, I wonder how much the changes I've made in this village will impact its future, even if small the Senju clan still exists and are at odds with the village, Tsunade has turned on her teacher, I wonder if the Sannin will still exist?' Ren questioned curiously.

'Oh, how I can't wait for the changes that are to come.'

Ren turned his attention to the students and smiled, things had turned out exactly how he expected his students had passed and were now chunin, and the others had failed as expected.

"Alright, it's time to get going, tensions are high between the villages we need to return quickly and quietly." says Ren.

"Yes." the students answered seriously, Ren had already warned and informed his student of everything that was to be expected including the upcoming war, even though his students were young, Ren knew they were no longer innocent they had taken lives and seen him destroy an entire village.

Even if the prospect of war was more serious than anything they had experienced, they needed to accept this reality now, rather than accepting it on the battlefield as their fellow shinobi died before them, or as they inhaled their last breath.

"Good let's set off." says Ren as he and his group disappear jumping from tree to tree and heading away from the hidden leaf and towards to hidden stone.

'Mhm, there isn't any movement as yet, I wonder who will come?' questioned Ren as he continued moving.

(Root headquarters)

"Sir, the stone shinobi have started their journey back to the land of earth." a shinobi kneeling before Danzo says as he stares at the floor.

"Mhm, take two teams and get rid of them, I want all of the stone shinobi dead they can't be allowed to return to the hidden stone." says Danzo killing intent leaking from every word.

"Hiruzen is a fool unable to see the danger that group holds, from Ren to those three, I know leaving them alive is a big mistake, it seems that yet again I have to clean up after that fool." says Danzo.

"Teacher you were a great Hokage, but one decision has tarnished your legacy, the third Hokage should have been me!!" Shouted Danzo his words filled with anger and bitterness.

As Danzo finished speaking the shinobi had already disappeared leaving him alone, waiting for good news.

Whether he would get the news he wanted, was left up in the air but he would find out before the day was done.

(With Ren)

'Oh, it looks like they are finally here, though their numbers and strength are far less than I expected.' thinks Ren as he quickly changes his position from in front of the group to the back.

"Keep moving, I'll be with you in a minute." says Ren as the group doesn't miss a beat and continue moving without asking a single question.

Ren stopped and stood on a tree looking towards where he sensed the incoming enemies.

To be honest, Ren was very surprised by the lack of force they sent, maybe five jonin, two elite jonin with ten chunin could kill a regular Kage-level shinobi after suffering heavy damage, but Ren was not a regular Kage-level shinobi.

This wouldn't even delay him long enough for him to care, so he waited for them to appear before him.

It wasn't long before the enemy appeared before him, and it surprised him, as things weren't as he expected, but it also explained things that were happening.

"Root" Ren whispered.

Every single ninja that appeared were dressed as root member.

'So Hiruzen gave up on the attack, and Danzo planned to carry it out on his own.' thinks Ren.

Knowing this didn't change much, he was still going to kill them all, the confrontation lasted a while when suddenly they rushed Ren.

Ren simply smiled as they approached, planning to take care of this quickly.
