Lin Su was actually not surprised to meet the powerful Beast Tamer who had saved him that day at the Beast Taming Union.

Near the Frost Fall Mountain Range, there was only one big city, Yongnan City, and the stranger was almost certainly from the Yongnan City Beast Taming Union, something Lin Su had anticipated.

But to find out that the person was actually the Vice President of the Beast Taming Union, Lin Su still felt a little bit taken aback.

Without waiting for Lin Su to respond, he turned and walked towards the stairs leading to the second floor, "Come with me."

Lin Su's expression turned a bit unsightly, "My beast is no match for the Snow Lynx. Asking it to cover my retreat would be sending it to its death, wouldn't it?"

The Vice President stopped completely, holding the book he had just found. He walked slowly over to Lin Su, his eyes showing a trace of an enigmatic gleam.

"A companion beast can be contracted again after death, but a Beast Tamer has only one life."

"I cannot accept such reasoning." Lin Su shook his head without hesitation, his gaze towards the Vice President turning somewhat cold, "I believe a companion beast is a Beast Tamer's lifelong partner and comrade in arms. How could it be intentionally sent to die just to ensure one's own survival?"

"Partner and comrade in arms, huh?" The man, who did not seem given to laughter, suddenly revealed a hint of amusement in his expression after standing there for a while, "That's a very good answer."

"Hm?" Lin Su was momentarily stunned, "So the questions senior asked just now, were they some kind of test?"

"A test?" The man nodded, "If that's how you want to understand it, sure."

He handed over a few books to Lin Su, "This is the material and common recipes for basic energy liquids. With these books, you can teach yourself the preparation of basic energy liquids."
