"Next candidate." The kid said with a yawn.
"Alfred, this is so boring. Do we even need to do all this?" He asked with a frown.
"It's for your benefit, young master." Alfred said.
"You're already here taking care of me, aren't you? All this is unnecessary."
"Your father has to travel outside the town frequently, nowadays. As his butler, I also need to accompany him on his tours. And both, the Lord and the Lady, have ordered me to find a suitable caretaker for you and I don't dare to ignore their request."
"Hm, still, don't you have someone capable here?" He said as he removed his coat and put it beside him.
"You have already rejected over twenty maids, including six professionals, young master. I don't know if someone can meet your requirements, Shun-Sama."
The kid stood up. Fair skin and long platinum hair tied in a hairband characterized his appearance. Large, red-hued eyes with a glossy finish. Together, these complexions create the face of the lavish young Lord. Wearing a tuxedo suit ensemble of white and yellow and light turquoise pinstripe fabric, he looked very dapper.
"Then let's close this up for now and continue it later." Shun said, as he jumped down from the sofa and ran outside through the window.
" (*sigh) I should pause the recruitment for the time being." Alfred thought, opening the door.
The only one standing when Alfred turned to announce the pause was a girl of Shun's age. Since there was no elder at the present time, Alfred paid no heed to the child and started moving towards the direction of the garden, the place where Shun ran off to.
"U-Um," The little girl called out.
Alfred stopped walking and looked at the child, responding to her call.
"What is it, little girl?" He asked in a gentle tone.
The girl removed the black cloth covering her head and looked at Alfred with timid but cute eyes. This girl was a Demi-human, a Nekomimi to be precise. She had blue eyes, a pale complexion, and wavy blue hair worn mid-length. Her ears and tail had a short, marbled tabby coat that matched her hair.
"U-U-Um, have you already hired a c-caretaker?" She asked nervously.
"No, not yet. We are currently taking a break. Why do you ask?"
Wagging her ear and tail, she said, "A-actually, I also filled out the form for the e-employment, and I was w-wondering what reason m-merited it."
-LINE BREAK-
It was still early in the morning, in Efferva, and the streets were empty. The shopkeepers were setting up their shops, preparing for the entire day. A cool breeze swept through the streets during those silent moments until Shun entered the scene.
Amid watering the flowers, the lady said, "Oh my, he is already here."
Shun loosened his tie as he climbed onto some wooden boxes and crossed the fence.
"Today will be another good show," the old man said as he opened the fruit boxes.
Shun jumped close to one citizen, taking his straw hat for himself. Trying to keep up with the winds, he started running through the streets.
On the way to the town centre, he ran faster, greeting this en route. After several turns and shortcuts, he finally stood in front of the clock tower, the centre of the town. He took the stairs and reached the top floor of the tower. From there, he climbed up onto the roof and stood beside the spire.
He waved his hands to the citizens looking at him from the streets and shouted, "On- cín blessings na i núr -o Efferva, Asmodeus!!"
"On- cín blessings na i núr -o Efferva, Asmodeus," The crowd shouted after Shun.
While everyone was repeating after Shun, one traveller, who was visiting the town, asked a nearby person, "Sir, what language is this? And what does it mean?"
"Actually, we all are also unaware of this language, but the young master told us its meaning. Young master always prays for this town and asks blessings for us, around this time."
"And who does he pray to?" He asked.
The person stopped his work and stared at the traveller. He said, "Who do you think? The God, of course."
"Y-Yeah, it was dumb of me. He-he." The traveller stopped asking questions and simply watched the scenery unfold in front of him.
"It's time for the key event." Shun thought as he closed his eyes and faced upwards.
He inhaled a lot of air and shouted with all his might, "LONG LIVE ASMODEUS!!"
The impact made by the voice cleared the clouds in the range and started resonating in the cities.
"LONG LIVE ASMODEUS!!"
"LONG LIVE ASMODEUS!!"
"LONG LIVE ASMODEUS!!"
Everyone started hailing after Shun.
Too scared of his surroundings, the traveller started getting anxious. He tried to open his mouth; it was impossible; He wasn't able to utter a sound. He felt an icy stare towards him, but he didn't dare to follow them. Making no sound, he started walking back towards the entry gate of the town.
"Would you really disrespect the performance of the child of our God himself in such a manner?" The man grabbed his shoulders and looked at him with an intense stare.
The traveller froze in terror as he looked into the man's eyes. He said, "W-W-What God? You all are w-w-worshipping a d-d-"
"Shhhhhh!!" The man whispered in his ears.
Reaching his limit, the traveller pushed the man back and ran out of the town as fast as he can.
"These people are crazy. Treating a devil as some kind of God. Looks like the rumours were true." He said while running.
He almost crossed the entry gate of the town but was interrupted by Shun. He jumped in front of the traveller and looked at him with bloodthirsty eyes.
"Where are you going, traveller-san?" Shun asked.
"I-I-I-I-go-o-o-i-i-c-k-k-k-t-t-t-t-w-n"
"Huh?"
"Eeeeeeek, I-I-I-I was going back to my h-h-h-ometown." The traveller said while pissing himself.
"Oh, is that so? Thank you for visiting Efferva." Shun changed his expression to a sincere one.
"Eh? R-r-really?"
"You don't want to?"
The traveller didn't respond to it and just ran out of the town with wet pants.
"Sayonara, traveller-san. Visit again sometime." Shun said as he looked back at the townspeople with a serious gaze.
"Pfffft…pff…hahahahahahahaha." He started laughing.
"Hahahahahahaha, Did you see his face?" The man also started laughing, followed by the others.
"That aside, he peed his pants with just a stare. Hahahaha, looks like he didn't last long, fufufufufu"
"So what's the total now, young master?" The man asked.
"Hmm, let's see….hmm, he was the 150th one," Shun replied.
Sopho: Hey, I don't want it to go this way.
Maniac: What? I actually improved your plotline.
Sopho: No, now my future storyline is all messed up.
Maniac: It doesn't even matter. After all, garbage will always be garbage. I am the one who makes it a masterpiece.
Sopho: With an alien language
Maniac: It was a unique approach, don't you think?
Sopho: Nah, It was BS
