Family part 2

"You two stay kneeled down until your fathers' are done dealing with your elder siblings. You shall tell us all the details after they arrive."

 "Kuh....." Theo groaned in pain

<The girls in my family are gorillas....> Theo

<... I can't argue with that...> Selene

And you're one of them!

Selene and Theo were kneeling in front of their two mothers in the drawing room, where they first discovered each other's other identity.

Theo had a reddish red mark on his face. He was slapped by her mother before taking him to the drawing room with the others. The female side of the current Ignatius family are all warriors in their prime after all, hence their tendencies of having to result their problems through physical violence.

Whoooooosh!*

In a blink of an eye there were four people that appeared in the room. All four were familiar faces. Two were Irene and Adrean kneeling on the floor besides two imposing men

"Why is Selene on the floor sweetie"

The tall and handsome man spoke sternly towards his wife, Levana. Renwick Aventus, the Supreme Leader and Dark emperor of the nation of darkness, Vitoten. He looked to be the more adult and mature version of Adrean. 

The other tall, handsome and silent was a man of few words, Lucian Ignatius, The counterpart of Renwick, The Supreme Leader and Light Emperor of the nation of light, Virtus. 

"They fought a chaos beast" Levana said with her eyes closed while carrying Kali who was sleeping in her arms.

.....

"""WHAT!?""" Irene, Adrean and Renwick with their mouths and eyes wide open.

"Explain yourselves." Lucian spoke with his eyes narrowed.

Theo and Selene gulped. 

"Well, you see-"

"- And then we were teleported back to the real world and we went back to the Estate "

All stared at the two in silence

Theo led and Selene quipped in between their conversation for her side of the story. They fabricated the story and told their family that their encounter with the Red Beast was mostly a coincidence. They told them that they found a strange book in the library, which there actually was a book, but Selene and Theo didn't need it as they already read it in the game, and informed them of a Chaos beast living behind the estate.

It was the book that Theo grabbed when they first entered the library, detailing the methods on how to start the challenge with the Red Beast.

After that they mentioned that they entered a kobold dungeon to them by strange old lady and strengthened them, so they decided to tackle the Chaos beast, believing that they were strong enough. They told the family that they snuck out of the estate when the city was being attacked, resulting in them being able to sneak out and challenge the Chaos Beast.

They described the fight and emphasized that the only reason they won was because of the reward they got from the Kobold dungeon which was the rank 5 magic stone, where Selene somehow convinced them that she just knew how to use it, making them believe that she was a prodigy with magic control, which she was, thankfully. Theo also mentioned the use of his forbidden skill, which resulted in him getting a smack from his mother and sister each.

The fabricated story they made up was surprisingly effective, but suspicion inevitably still lingered within their family. They thought it was absurd for children their tier and experience would be able to beat a Chaos beast.

After all, Chaos beasts were beings that have been known to be impossible to beat, because all of them had an age restriction placed on each one. One example was the Red beast subjugation, you have to be sixteen and under, as it was written in the book.

And the average sixteen year old who trained are usually at the start of the adept tier and geniuses at the peak of Adept tier and rarely in the beginning of Astute tier. The average sixteen year old would've easily died. 

Most Chaos Beast subjugations were always strictly exclusive to those under the age of twenty-one and The older you are, the stronger the beast.

There are still other Chaotic beasts unconquered by many that are mysteriously sealed in the world, waiting to be challenged by aspiring youths, though many have failed.

However, whenever someone manages to defeat a Chaos beast, they typically become legends in their own right.

"Foolishness! Such carelessness from such a young age!" Renwick angrily shouted as he clenched his fist.

The aura Renwick Manifested easily suppressed everyone in the room, except for Lucian, who was unfazed by Renwick's overwhelming power.

Levana did her best to protect Kali from the aura Renwick emitted. Irene and Adrean had to release their master tier aura to protect themselves from getting affected by Renwick's aura, but were still visibly uncomfortable.

Selene and Theo however almost fainted from the pressure, blood started dripping down their nose and mouth,

All of this happened within one second, when Lucian intervened Renwick by grabbing his shoulder, signaling him to stop

Another second longer would have resulted on Selene and Theo fainting and a few more seconds would have potentially killed them.

Renwick Aventus was, after all, at the peak of humanity, A Pinnacle tier Individual, a testament to his status as the leader of Vitoten. People known to be alive in the pinnacle tier could only be counted in one hand. People of this tier were called walking calamities, a single Pinnacle tier individual is capable of wiping an entire nation in a single night, if they had the will to do so.

"Renwick, halt your anger. They might've done something idiotic, but they're children. Look at you daughter, if she hadn't taken this chance her condition might've stagnated and prevented her from ever getting stronger." Lucian firmly said to Renwick.

Defeating a Chaos beast gives the slayer an extremely rare energy called Chaos. An unknown power that every individual yearns for, that creates unseen miracles and country ending disasters.

This chaos energy is then transferred to the slayer giving the traits of the Chaos beast that was defeated, greatly benefiting the slayer.

The one Theo and Selene received is a great example of the reward granted to those who triumph against a Chaos beast.

Renwick then gestures Selene to approach him

"..... Sigh- Selene come here."

Selene, who was light headed, approached his father. Adonis hugged Selene lightly, treating her as fragile as glass

"I apologize for pressuring you, I hope you understand that this anger is the result of my immense care and worry for you, my first daughter...." 

Renwick stroked Selene's hair gently. Selene hugged her father back with a sorrowful expression, not only because she was guilty for her actions, but the fact that she will continue to put herself in danger for the sake of surviving from then on. 

Theo for some reason, felt the sorrow Selene was feeling. A familiar experience that he fet during their fight with Spartacus.

So this ability connects our feelings to each other? I still don't get it, but....

The feeling Selene felt, Theo also had the same feeling of sorrow. He also needed to place himself in dangerous situations in the future for the sake of survival and this will inevitably affect those around them, especially their family.

After embracing her daughter, Renwick glared at Theo and spoke

"Theodore Ignatius, I commend you for protecting and being there for my daughter. I understand that this event was the result of both of your childishness, so I do not blame you for the actions, however hear me . If I ever find out you've put my daughter in danger because of you insistence, you shall never-"

Lucian cuts Adonis off.

"Enough, Renwick. I believe my child understands what you're trying to imply."

Renwick sighs in frustration and looks back at his daughter.

"... Fine, but I still can't believe the feats you have achieved, yet you stand here with proof of your unprecedented breakthroughs and new found strength. I'm happy for you Selene, and you Theo-"

Theo became stiffer when his name was called by Renwick

"- make sure you keep getting stronger. Worthy of marrying my daughter."

Theo was taken back from Renwick's words, but dutifully responded right after a moment of silence.

"Y-yes!"

"Hmph..." Renwick turns around and goes to one of the seats in the drawing room.

Both families decided to drop the case. They still had doubts about the story Theo and Selene told, but ultimately decided to trust the two of them, after all most of the members in the room lived through equal or far more horrific experiences than the two. They also understood that strength was everything in the world. 

Theo and Selene did place themselves in danger, but in the end made themselves stronger. Scolding them more than they already had was their recklessness, but why would they comment more when they succeeded? Alive and well in front of them? Lucian, especially, believed that it did not matter as long as they were safe in the end. It would be counter productive to their growth if they oppress their children any further.

They started to discuss political matters between countries, some light chatter and discussion for the ball that was to occur the next day for Selene's Birthday.

Selene and Theo were relieved, all of the reactions they received were all in line with their plan, despite this, they felt guilty for having to lie to their family. 

They're family decided not to question more about the matter with the chaos beast, treating it as if it was already far back into the past, which Selene and Theo were grateful for.

They knew that this was going to be the first of many lies to come, but they believed that it was for the sake of not only them, but their family as well.
