Chapter 77: Choosing the candidates

A few days after the whole droid invasion and facing Sanity and the Five Pillars, the Kingdom has been on high guard ever since, more heroes were on patrols, tighter security, it was like the kingdom was fully seized by the enemy..

It's been a while now but the kingdom has been slowly getting back on it's feet.

"Hey Dr. Sara, where do you want me to place these newly bought shelves?." The girl with reddish pigtails asked as she was carrying a huge shelves with the help with her clones.

"Just place it there next to the blue shelves." She pointed out where Liz needed to put the shelves where she and her clones were carrying.

~Meanwhile in Class L-1~

Sir Charles was wearing his P.e. outfit for some reason, Since today was a Monday and usually on Mondays all the Teachers would be wearing their normal uniforms to seeing their adviser wearing his P.e. uniform got all of them wondering and confused.

"Sir? is it alright for me to ask but... why are you....wearing your P.e. uniform?." Luck asked with curiosity.

while everyone sighed in silence as they all thought the same thing,

[Thank god someone asked him]

"Well didn't the Principal announced it yesterday?."

Everyone was puzzled to what their adviser was talking about, it was a hot day and they all wanted to get on with it.

Dorothy poked Arthur's chest as he was waving his notebook towards himself as he tries to cool himself down.

"---hmm?."

"Did she ever announced anything yesterday?." She whispered.

"I don't think so... if I remember correctly she never announces anything involving the school, well when it comes to the Teacher's jobs though she doesn't really fail at that." He replied with straight out facts.

Saya took advantage of the sunlight hitting her and was charging herself while Carla was putting holes in her eraser with her ballpen, Arthur manages to notice her and asks,

"What are you a grade school kid?."

She heard his statement but continues to do so anyway, He continues to listen to Sir. Charles and Luck's conversation in the front.

"Well it doesn't matter, starting tomorrow it'll be the first day of our School Wars."

Everyone was tensed up all of a sudden while before their teacher said it they were all bored and bothered by the heat.

[This is what it leads to when you don't do your job ms. principal] He thought to himself and conjured up an image with the principal asleep on her office.

Reid from the back row raises his left hand to ask a question.

"Yes... Reid?."

"So I'm guessing for today we'll be talking about our class representative for the school wars?."

"Yes, we won't have any lessons for today, for we need to choose a ten man squad for this year's School wars."

Everyone was starting to feel nervous but at the same time was excited about the event itself.

School Wars is a yearly event where different schools in the Kingdom all come together in WordBagon to have a battle, a ten vs ten battle. where depending on the mode, Defend or Attack.

The Defending team have to defend their base from any incoming enemy attacks, they win by defeating all their attackers, while for the attacking side they have to destroy and take down the Defending team at all costs, if one student remains on the battlefield whether they're from the Attacking or Defending teams wins.

For example one defending team member survives while all the Attacking team members have been defeated that means a win for the Defending team and the opposite could be said for the Attacking team.

Sir. Charles places his spear on the table while he writes in the white board,

Members for this year School War.

"Alright, anyone would like to volunteer?." He asked as no one replied.

It was total silence, the reason of this is because when you're volunteering in the School war, injuries could be very fatal.. there's no signs of mercy when it comes to these events.. the enemy would pull anything they can in order to win.

Out of the silence Sir. Charles was getting annoyed at the changeable environment he's in, He stomped his left foot on the ground as everyone's attention turned to their teacher in front.

"If anyone won't volunteer then I'll be the one to choose our candidates for this year."

[W-Why are we the ones doing this? isn't there other classes too?] Cassidy covers her embarrassed face with her notebooks avoiding eye contact with their teacher,

Who will now choose random students if anyone won't volunteer, they were all silent, it was obvious none of them wanted to participate.

"I see.. you all have chosen death." He was smiling they all knew where this was going.

As class ended everyone's mind was fixated on who their teacher would choose to participate for this year's School wars.

Cassidy just went outside the room waving goodbye to them as Arthur, Dorothy, Saya, Carla, Patrisha, and Gray were all that were left in the classroom talking about what's going to happen.

"Who do you guys think might end up as Sir's candidates?." Saya asks as she sits on the floor.

"-----! I think he's going to choose those students who passed... you know remember that time he told us to find pairs and faced him in the gym." Gray said.

"Yeah --- I do, you think he might choose the candidates from that?." Arthur replied with a question.

Carla was merely wiping her pistols with a wet towel as she stood up and said,

"Well all of us here all passed that test.. so I guess it's obvious who the six are gonna be."

"Don't forget Cassidy was also with us that time too.. so she could be the seventh." Dorothy said as she puts her finger below her lip thinking on the remaining three.

Gray let's out a bellowed sigh as he agonizes over the fact that he won't be able to enjoy the five days of no classes all because of the event.

"Heyy Arthur if the both of us get dragged into this, I hope you'll be the one to do all the fighting ---hehe." Gray shot him a thumbs up, his eyes glittered of hope if it ever comes to it.

Just as they were about to head out Patrisha grabs Gray by the ear and says,

"Did you forget? we still have our meeting mr. president."

"--arhh!! ----Ouch!! stopp I never forgot about that... please let go of my ea--!."

Arthur and Dorothy were laughing as Carla was outside the room, she was waving to someone, Saya noticed her peculiar movements outside and thought,

[Who is she waving to?]

While Arthur and Dorothy continued with what they were doing, He grabbed his and Dorothy's bag and carried both of them.

"Thank you Arthur." She smiled.

"No need to thank me."

Patrisha and Gray were just about to leave the room when two Armed Committee members came in with a little girl.

"Oh? --- Mama! Papa!."

Anna came rushing in with joy as she found her mama and papa, The two Armed Committee walk towards Patrisha and Gray and said,

"You must be Mr. Dawson the Principal of Class L1 right?." Olivia asked.

"---nghh Yes, Yes I am." He replied stuttering as he rubs his swollen ear.

"Thank you for leading Anna towards my King, How have you been Faith? hehe." Carla winked at Faith as if they were close buddies.

"It's no problem, we just managed to pass by when we saw her all worried in the hallway and since we remembered seeing her with you guys in the rooftop that one time we then decided to help her.. I'm glad we were right... oh and well I'm tired but I won't let it get to me, has your class chosen the representatives for the School war yet?."

"Errr --- No, not yet but It appears we'll be getting the representatives tomorrow since our teacher will be the one to choose."

"I see."

Arthur, Dorothy and Saya all went out of the room, Patrisha closed and locked the room, Gray points his finger to the vice president as she finishes locking the room.

"Oh.....and this by the way is the vice president so we don't need to wait for her."

"Oh that's great! everyone's waiting for you two, we should proceed quickly." Olivia says as she leads them to the Student Council

"Well see ya Carla I'll be heading out now ---??."

"Thank you so much Faith." The two thanked her for what she's done for Anna.

"No problem, It's the Armed Committee to help out one of our own students.. well see yaa."

Faith proceeds to walk towards little Anna, she crouches in front of her and ruffles her hair.

"See ya later kid." She gives her a wholesome smile.

"Right! see ya later miss Faith." She responds with a smile to show her gratitude.

Faith then catches up to the others as they went to the Student Council, while Arthur and the rest decided to all go home and simply wait for tomorrow to come and hope they won't get picked.
