Chapter 24: Betrayed and Passed with a smile

"Hey are you okay?." as Cassidy was slowly waking up "Hey, Hey ! Arthur go conta-." Cassidy then placed her arm on the girl's shoulders "No.. please I don't want to fail." She said as she tries to get up on her own "Hey you shouldn't push yourself, what happened?." Dorothy asked "H-He went without me." She said in a low voice "Reid did." Arthur said "Huh? Reid? the one from our row?." Dorothy asked and Arthur nodded his head.

"Well then Cassidy I want you to--." She backs away from Dorothy "H-H-How do you k-k-know my na-name?." She asked but in a terrified expression, Dorothy gives her a smile "It's because I've memorized everyone's names from the list and I've heard and seen you a few times too, so don't worry." Dorothy said as she pats Cassidy's head.

"I see." She replied in a suspicious tone "You still don't trust me!?." Dorothy thought to herself "Anyhow's He pushed you away when it was suppose to be your turn to face Teacher, am I right?." Arthur asked "y-yes you're right." She replied "But you trust Arthur!?!." Dorothy thought to herself.

As the battle was going on..

"You have strong fists young reid." Sir. Charles said as he blocks every punch with his spear "But that's all there is for you." He said as he disappears behind him and lands a decisive blow to Reid.

"Is he seriously fighting him alone?." Luck wondered "Where's Cassidy? she was his pair?." Lisa asked.

"Fighting me alone? You yourself is all you need to defeat me? I don't think so young reid." Sir. Charles said as he prepares to throw his spear at Reid "There will always be battles that fighting an enemy alone isn't going to work!." He said as he throws the spear.

He dodges the blow and went straight towards him, He strikes from left to right but every punch gets countered by Sir. Charles's fists as he blocks every punch and sometimes dodge them (As Sir. Charles transferred some of his mana towards his fists to strengthen them.)

"You're too confident with your skills if you believe you can beat me because I don't have my weapon." He said as he lands a punch on Reid "What the?." Reid was shock "Take this from heart young reid, just because you have one class doesn't mean you can't train any of the others." Sir. Charles said as Reid then thinks of how Patrisha fought earlier "That's right! she let him believe she was an Assassin class but that was just a bluff for the unexpected strike that she was an Archer class the whole time." Reid thought to himself.

"But because you chose to do this solo I'm going to have to step up my game here." Sir. Charles said as he leaps from corner to corner as fast as the naked eye could see "He's too fast!." Reid said and as He passes from time to time Reid would get a scratch at random places as a result he used his fists to cover his face "I can't do anything about this." Reid was starting to get desperate as he tries to land a punch at random places "What's this? believing you could land a hit with those? I don't think so." Sir. Charles said as he became faster that he suddenly disappeared from the whole court "What?." Reid reacted

"This is bad, looks like Charles's getting serious here, setting the bounded field's weakening stats to full max." (George can manipulate their powers from where he works by creating a bounded field that could control the balance of power inside the field.) "Whoah Sir. just disappeared." Daniel said out of shock "That's very cool!." Luck said "I wonder where did Sir. went?." Lisa wondered "That's really COOOOOLLLLL!!!!." Gray stood up from his seat as he saw their Teacher disappeared "Sit down Gray." Patrisha said "I wonder how will My king beat him with that much strength Teacher has." Carla said worried for Arthur "Don't worry I'm sure my Master has a plan to beat him I have full confidence within her." Saya said confidently.

Inside the court Sir. Charles hasn't appeared and it's almost been a minute "Where could he pop up?." Reid was starting to get paranoid as a ray of light shone behind him "From behind!?." He aimed his fists behind him and the ray of light dispersed "No from the fro--." A ray of lightning went towards him and because of how fast it was he had very little time to react the whole court was covered with dust.

"What happened?." Rex wondered "Is it over?." Franklin asked Sir. Charles's spear was already at Reid's throat, one more move and he would've died from the spear "I'm sorry young reid but you fail." Sir. Charles said.

"Hey Carla?." Saya asked "Yeah, He used the same tactic we used from our fight." Carla replied.

*Flashback*

"When you caught Sir. Charles with your scythe and slammed him on the ground." Carla narrated "Why do you always believe whenever we have a plan you'd always think we'd go from behind." Saya said.

*End of Flashback*

"Heh looks like our tactic is being used Saya!." Carla said out of joy "Yeppppp." Saya replied with a huge smile on her face and the two high five'd each other.

"I want you to stay near the court to see for yourself young reid, what it means to trust your partner." Sir. Charles said as Arthur, Dorothy and Cassidy entered the court.

*A few minutes ago*

"Hey Cassidy why not you come with us." Arthur said "Huh?." Cassidy reacted "What do you mean Arthur, is that even allowed?." Dorothy asked "Sir. allowed him to go solo right? then there's no reason for him to deny a third party." He said as he lends his hand towards her "Let's win this Cassidy." Arthur said.

*Present*

"Oh my It's three against one now." Sir. Charles said "He's really getting into it now." George said as he takes a sip of his coffee.

"See what did I tell you, now Let's end this." Arthur said as he and Cassidy ran towards Sir. Charles with all their strength "I'll deal with you two later." Sir. Charles said as he went directly for Dorothy "Crap!." Arthur thought to himself "Oh no miss Dorothy!." Cassidy thought to herself as Sir. Charles was already in front of her "I won't let her support these two." Sir. Charles thought to himself Arthur then smiles "Cassidy let's go." Arthur said "Okay." She replied as the two went towards Sir. Charles lands a blow on Dorothy and it exploded mud all over and immobilizing him.

"I can't move!." He thought to himself as he then could hear Arthur and Cassidy footsteps getting near him "I see, using young Ritsu as bait to get me in a tight spot, Splendid young Ackerman." He said to himself "We got him Cassidy!." Arthur yelled out of joy "But it's not enough!." Sir. Charles said as he managed to get out of the trap they've made "What? Cassidy look out!." Arthur then pushes her away taking Sir. Charles's spear head on and as the spear headed towards Cassidy "Oh no!." Arthur Said to himself.

"Sword of flowers, Gladiolus's petals." "She used an ability?." Sir. Charles then backed away as Cassidy's movement's and speed were boosted "Now it's my turn." She said as she proceeds to chase after him "Dorothy!." Arthur yelled out as she became visible in the court and Sir. Charles was caught by Dorothy's threads "Whoahh!!! so Dorothy was invisible the whole time." Febby was amazed "That's my best friend right there." Patrisha said to herself.

Dorothy then used her threads to keep Sir. Charles from moving "I can't move I'll just use my abi--." Arthur was in front of him while Cassidy was behind him "Try your ability Sir. I dare you to try it." Dorothy said, as Sir. Charles noticed the threads becoming thinner "Crap! I can't do anything to get out If I so much as use my ability I'll sliced into pieces, *sighs fine you three win." He admitted defeat as Arthur and Cassidy crossed each other as they land their hits.

"Now this is a surprise, It's not like he can get out, it's that he can't because of those threads, who are those two?." George wondered "Well it's always a blast seeing Charles's face getting frustrated loosing to his own students." George thought to himself.

Meanwhile Reid left the court feeling frustrated "He's gone." Arthur thought to himself as he noticed Reid isn't there "You three did great today, I'm so proud of the three of you." Sir. Charles said as he gives the three of them a head pat.

After that the activity was finished, everyone went back to the classroom while Sir. Charles explained to everyone about their key moments, flaws and how to become stronger. for the remaining time we had before classes were over..

Everyone already went home except for..

"Reid, may I have a minute with you." Sir. Charles said "What is it?." He replied "You did good today." He said as he gives Reid a head pat "What the hell!?." He reacted "It's okay to trust others young reid, I told you earlier today some battles can't be won by you alone I know you've seen what they could do together right?, you need to have faith in others too if you want to win battles." Sir. Charles explained "Yeah Yeah I'll think about it." Reid said as he went home.

"CU CHARLES! YOU ARE BEING CALLED BY THE PRESIDENT PLEASE SEE HER TO HER OFFICE." a woman announced "Oh boy I totally forgot I have to deal with her today." Sir. Charles said to himself.

"CU CHARLES! YOU ARE BEING CALLED BY THE PRESIDENT PLEASE SEE HER TO HER OFFICE." a woman announced again.

"I'm on my way! geez." Sir. Charles said.
