Waking up

Waking up with a start Sakura looked around in a fright. Calming down and taking in a breath she looked up at the morning sky and let out a sigh "it was just a nightmare." She mumbled while looking up. "Huh daytime already." She whispered before she heard a bush rattle. Pulling out a kunai she shakily held it as she turned. After a second a squirrel jumped out making her lower her guard. "Oh it's just a squirrel, hey don't surprise me like that little gu…OH!" She threw the kunai at the squirrel drawing it away as it ran back towards the bushes.

After a few minutes Sakura sat back down as her eyes started dropping again. Before she heard a voice and looking over she saw the three sound shinobi "some look out, you're half asleep. At least you don't have to keep watch anymore, what's the point after we already found you. Now wake the uchiha up we want to fight him."

'You won't get my sasuke basterds.' Sakura thought in her mind. "What do you want, I mean what do you really want. I know orichimaru sent you three."

"Hmm so the little fangirl knows huh." The sole female sound nin spoke

"Shut up girl." The lead sound nin ordered as the girl closed her mouth and looked down submissively.

"Well I can't stay quiet after hearing you talk to us like that." The other make sound genin spoke out before continuing "first I'll have some fun with the girl and then I'll kill our target."

"Wait zaku." The lead sound genin spoke

"Huh, what is it?" The now named zaku replied.

"It's so obvious, this is the color of dirt that's been recently dug up. And this kind of grass doesn't grow like this." The lead sound genin spoke before looking up at Sakura. "You know if you're going to lay a trap, there's no point unless you make it so it's not discovered."

"Huh you're just a joke so that kunai you threw at the squirrel was just so it wouldn't spring the trap you set." Zaku stated arrogantly

"Now let's kill her." The lead genin ordered as all three jumped up and at her.

Smirking Sakura took out a Kumasi and cut a string to her right. A second later a large log attached to a rope fell at the sound ninja. "Shit a log." Zaku warned

"Hmm she also set a trap above." The lead genin added. "Nice try little girl." Be continued as he placed his hand on the log shattering it with his sound waves. "Clearly you have no talent as a ninja. Someone like you needs to make more of an effort or else."

As they were about to reach her a green blur kicked the three sound genin away. "Looks like you also need to make an effort." Lee spoke

"Who are you?" The lead sound genin asked

"I am the beautiful blue beast of the leaf village Rock Lee." Lee stated.

"What are you doing here Lee?" Sakura asked

"I will always appear anywhere and anytime you're in trouble Sakura." Lee responded

"But we're enemies during this test." Sakura rebuffed

"I did say this one already didn't I?" Lee answered then continued "that I'd protect you till the day I die."

Sighing the lead sound genin spoke "looks like I have no choice. Zaku you have sasuke." As the lead sound genin gave zaku their scroll. "I'll kill these two."

"Come on boss leave the girl alive we can use her for a bit of fun." Zaku complained.

"The guy with weird eye brows and green jumpsuit is good with taijutsu looks like I'll get to have a bit of fun." The lead sound genin stated with a chuckle before charging at Sakura and Lee.

Sakura threw a kunai at the sound genin forcing him to jump up. Dropping down the sound genin went for a punch but Lee pulled up some ground with his hand as the sound genin punched the newly formed hill. "I know there is a trick to your jutsu, so I will not waste time trying to avoid your attacks. After all I've seen your jutsu before." As Lee finished he started taking off the bandages around his fists and forearms. 'It's time for me to use the lotus, to protect the life of someone precious.' Lee thought as he got into a ready position. Disappearing in a burst of speed he reappeared below the lead sound shinobi before kicking him up. Following him Lee wrapped his bandages around the sound genin before turning them and making the sound ninja fall head first towards the ground as he started spinning.

"Shit dosu can't survive this." Zaku stated as he went through hand seals. Then planting his fists into the ground the ground shook as the ground below the now named dosu and Lee started moving right before they landed. "Got you just in time, that impact could have been much worse."

"What how, this can't be." Lee protested to no one.

"That is a frightening jutsu. That nearly took me out even though I landed on this spongy dirt." Dosu commented "now it's my turn." He exclaimed as he appeared next to Lee while taking a swing at him.

As the sound waves hit Lee he lost his balance "your jutsu is fast but mine is faster after all it travels at the speed of sound. Also effort by itself does nothing, now watch we're going to show you something called the wall."

*elsewhere*

Standing over the corpses of some iwa nin Naruto's eyes slowly faded back to blue as his body turned back to normal and the black marks and purple miasma receded back into the seal on his neck as a circle and the kanji for evil sealing method appeared around it. "Ah I'm back in control." Naruto mumbled as he looked around. Hearing a groan as he took a step he looked down. Seeing a iwa nin gurgle on his own blood, the nin made eye contact with him.

"Demon" he spat out as the life left his eyes.

Wincing Naruto let out a sigh and pulled out a piece of paper. "Ya, ya I know I am." He mumbled as the paper in his hand glowed "ah so that's where you went." He added as he disappeared from his spot.
