Chapter 14| Cat got your tongue?

"Death,"

I sucked in a deep breath. "W-What?"

Meredith nodded and looked down, looking extremely sullen. I guess the death of the fourth element really made an impact on her. Now, I had more things to take care of.

I just found out that I have some pretty insane powers which include death, and right after I knew that, I also just found out that I can be the only one to battle a somewhat evil woman who by the way, killed the fourth element.

"I-I think you should go," Meredith then ushered me outside, closing the door to my face. I was confused as hell. One time, she is asking for my help and now, she just closed the door right in front of my face. I guess she is still sensitive about discussing how the fourth element died.

It was obvious that the sun has just set, judging from the dim hallway. Julian must be looking for me because he promised me earlier this morning that he will come back before the sun sets. Oh, shoot. Julian! I decided to run, but I scolded my self because I was now the queen, and it is extremely inappropriate for me if I just appeared running down the hallways like a madwoman.

The servants were now lighting up the torches that were placed along the walls on the hall. When they saw me, they bowed and I smiled at them. But then something behind me caught their eye as to which they immediately bowed deeply.

A pair of familiar broad arms snaked around my waist, startling me.

"Found you," Julian whispered on my ear, immediately giving shivers on my body. God, what is he doing to me? I swatted his arms playfully.

"What?" he asked, nuzzling his face on my neck.

"People are staring,"

I watched the servants divert their attention from us and continue to light the torches. Speaking of Awkward. I tried to free my self from the arms that were wrapped around my waist, but it was impossible.

"I don't care," Julian continued to nuzzle his face on my neck. He inhaled my scent and groaned. "God Aurora,"

What did I do now? I stopped my protests and faced him. "What do you want?"

"You," he answered. I felt my face heat up. He and his silly jokes.

"I'm serious," I gave him a monotone voice, despite my insides screaming at me to hug and kiss the hell out of him.

"I am," He started to hum a tune while swaying my body side to side. This melted my heart.

"Julian,"

"Hmmm?" He did not stop his humming. He continued swaying our bodies.

"The people-"

"Let them stare,"

It was a few minutes until he stopped abruptly and let go of my arms. His devilishly handsome face was now directed to me.

"Where were you all day?" he raised a brow.

"I was with your sister," I raised mine as well. Where did he expect me to go? Besides, I don't know anyone here, except him and Meredith. He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Are you telling the truth?"

I rolled my eyes. "Why would I lie to you?"

He kept looking at me, and I countered back. Does he really expect me to lie to him? Well, sorry to get your hopes up, mister.

"Okay, okay." he surrendered when he knew that I was telling the truth. I rolled my eyes again, which seemed to take an effect because his muscles suddenly went taut.

The hallways were now silent. The servants who lit the torches were now gone, leaving me and Julian alone. Technically, we are not really alone because there are the guards who stood post on almost every column. They were like a statue.

Julian took a step towards me. It was out of instinct that I took one back because I wanted to have a decent space between us. He took another and I did as well. I did not know that I was backing up into a wall, just when I felt a hard surface blocking me. I turned around and there it was.

Julian finally came to me with an animalistic growl. He placed his hands on either side of my head, trapping me between his hard taut body and with the wall. My heart took a leap when I realized the situation I was in.

His minty breath was the only one separating my lips and his from crashing together. His face was just a few millimeters away.

"Looks like you're trapped, babygirl," He taunted. I placed my hands on his chest in an attempt to push him, but he did not even budge.

"Julian..."

"Shhhh," he placed his index finger on my lips, stopping me from saying anything. Oh, my sweet baby Jesus. Please help me.

"Aurora," he bit my earlobe and whispered huskily. " The next time you roll your eyes, that would be when you are beneath me, naked and screaming in pleasure,"

I sucked in a deep breath. I did not answer. I can't. My voice was lost, and I failed to mutter a reply. Heat shot on my core and my stomach made flips.

It was surprising how he can effortlessly give a smirk on my way and immediately weaken my knees. He faced me again.

"Cat got your tongue, babygirl?" His lips were so close- really really close that when he spoke, his cashmere lips brushed to mine.

I tried not to think much of what he just called me. Babygirl? Now that is a new one.

"We... W-We should eat, I am hungry," I struggled to let it all out. He just chuckled darkly.

"Hungry? I will give you something to eat alright," he bit my neck slightly.

My eyes widened when I understood the hidden meaning behind what he just said. I gulped.

"I meant food, Julian,"

He smirked. "I WAS referring to food, Aurora. Although, based on what is on the dirty little mind of yours, I seriously won't obj-"

"Don't you dare finish that!" I cut him off rather loudly. He laughed before stepping away, letting me catch my breath from what was happening.

"You really are adorable Aurora, Like a kitten. MY kitten," he finished off with a growl. There was that again. His voice dropping an octave and his eyes darkening. I felt more heat going to my center, and I willed my self to just brush it off.

"Very well, I think we should eat," I walked past him and rushed to the confines of our chamber. He followed not far behind me.

We ate in silence, with Julian occasionally glancing back at me and I doing the same. One time, we glanced at the same time, causing his amber orbs to lock with my blue ones. He just winked, which had me almost chocking at my food. God Julian!

I thought about my former kingdom, Desrakil. My father. Aida. What is she currently doing? My thoughts went back to the times she and |I used to spend every minute of the day together.

"What are you thinking about?" Julian snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Aida," I answered meekly, still not getting over the fact that he just winked at me.

"Who is she?"

"My lady-in-waiting,"

He hummed in response. We stared at each other for a few seconds before my heart just went out of my ribcage when he suddenly got up and banged the table with his fist.

The utensils clattered, with some falling to the floor. I just looked at him, frightened about what he would do next. I was not terrified about what he might do to me, I was terrified about what he might do to himself.

He gave me one last look before going out and closing the door with a loud slam. I sat back on my seat. What just happened? or the better question was, What did I do wrong?

I suddenly began to wonder whether he would go back, so I followed him outside after a while. I could not find him anywhere, so I asked a guard.

"Where is his highness?" I asked him politely.

"He is in his private chamber milady. He said that he does not want to be disturbed," the Guard answered.

Oh. So what important thing is he doing this late that he did not want to be disturbed? I went back inside and laid on the bed.

I tossed and turned, but no matter what I did, I can't find sleep. I can't stop thinking and worrying about him.

Oh, Julian.
