Altering Fate: what happens if the storyline is changed

Everyone loves a classic cliché right? I did, now I am not sure. CRASH!!! That sound was of a truck ramming into me. I was reborn, obviously in a dangerous world. I will beat those who stand against me and become the most powerful figure. MHA, get ready for a twist. A new character is born. A troubled teenager is reborn with a knack for ruthless survival and a thirst for power. With a system to help her and a creative mind, will she bring the world crashing down? How will she become stronger and will the denounced useless system help? NOTE: Hi everyone, this is my first fanfic I hope you enjoy and connect with the original plot from time to time.

Provisional Exam Part 1

The day of the Provisional Hero License Exam came. We were at the gate to the provisional exam hall with our class. Aizawa had given a great speech and Inasa Yoarashi interrupted. His appearance and Aizawa's description made everyone feel uneasy. But to clear the mood Ms. Joker came around. I remember the fictional villain called Joker in my first life and his name being used by a female hero made it very weird for me.

I walked towards Bakugo and Kirishima. "Hey Kirishima! Can I talk to Bakugo for a minute?" Both of them looked at me. Kirishima said with slight annoyance, "Sure. Good Luck." I smiled and waved him goodbye. Kirishima and I had gotten closer to Kirishima since I moved to the dorms. Both of us go for early morning and late night runs so we became friends soon. I was now a bridge between the Dekusquad and Bakusquad.

"What do you want?" Bakugo said. I was surprised he didn't scream or call me extra. I recovered from my shock seeing him impatient. I said in a serious and worried manner, "Bakugo I know you will win if there is fighting involved but being a hero is not all about winning. Being a hero is about helping, winning, public image and so much more. So you must remember that no matter how angry someone makes you, no matter how annoying the people inside are you must not be provoked. The minute you become angry you lose. I don't want anyone from our class to fail so control your anger okay. Can you do that for me just once. I will pay you back."

He had listened to me the whole time without any reaction. He kept looking at me and it was weird so I called out to him. He broke out of his stupor and walked away after clicking his tongue at me. I thought I had failed to convince him until I heard him say, "You owe me." I smiled and went to Deku. We all followed Aizawa inside.

I already had a license so I walked to Aizawa and said, "It is dangerous letting them in without knowing what to expect." Aizawa lazily glanced at me before saying, "Didn't you warn them enough. You already predicted the outcome. Didn't you? The help you gave them was almost made for the exam. Making them fight shark-like animals, dodgeball, and medicine. You basically gave away the exam without knowing about it."

I smiled and said, "I don't want them to fail. I know they aren't weak but they are still living with a childish mindset. Bakugo only wants to win. Todoroki wants to defeat his father without knowing how much it holds him back. Midoriya is the most problematic as he tries to copy All Might. Momo has low self confidence. Kirishima with his hidden insecurities. It is the same for the others. They are not ready yet but they have to be to stay alive. I pray for villains who will face them when they are ready. You see it too. That is why you didn't kick them out yet."

Aizawa was surprised by my assessment over the others. He said as we sat down, "Did you research?" "Nope, I live with them." He smiled before answering, "They have to push themselves to live. If I told them about their disadvantage they would not face what heroes face everyday. Not that you understand." I responded, "Neither do you. But you are right. I just don't want them to get hurt. The day they defeat me when I am not holding back is the day I know they are Heroes. Until then, they are babies."

We both looked at the screen as the Provisional exam started. After entering the field the hunt began. The hunt of crushing the UA students had begun as they were attacked by multiple students. Soon Midoriya took the lead. I could hear Ms. Joker talking to Aizawa on his side but I ignored them and watched the exam with utmost attention.

A student whose name I don't remember divided the ground, splitting the class into small groups all over. I only focused on Midoriya but since the camera switched from one person to another I watched Yoarashi beat 120 students in a minute using wind. 'It is a good element. I should buy it.' I laid down on the seats and put my head in Aizawa's lap who was surprised.

"I am going to sleep for a bit. Wake me up when they come." He nodded while hiding his smile. I entered the system as Ms. Joker's teasing faded to my ears. "System come here!" 'Yes Master. What kind of ability would you like? We have multiple types of wind based powers.' "Show them to me." 'Yes Master. The types of wind powers are….'

Element Wind:-

Weather Manipulation : 250,000 points

Flight: 10,000 points

Wind Manipulation: 300,000 points

Wind Barrier: 100,000 points

Sound Manipulation: 100,000 points

Since I can use telekinesis to fly and create barriers I don't need it. Because of Nen I won't need sound manipulation either. Weather and Wind manipulation are both strong and expensive but Wind manipulation is more versatile. "Buy Wind Manipulation. Also show Status Screen." 'A New Quirk has been bought. Presenting Status Window."

"System–" I felt a stroking on my head and Aizawa's sweetly surprising voice trying to wake me up. "Leave System." 'Yes Master.' I woke up and saw a smiling Aizawa. When he noticed I was awake he acted annoyed and lazily said, "You didn't sleep much yesterday did you? Nervous for them? They all passed, you know?"

I got up and rubbed my eyes before answering, "I knew they would pass so I was not nervous. And for your information I slept last night but not the month before so I have to catch up on my sleep." He shook his head and told me the second test was starting and I have to go. This year I was also going to be a villain for the exam with Gang Orca.

I walked to the waiting room where I saw a worker who told us about the situation and about holding back. After he left Gang Orca started a conversation with me. "So you are Shadow. I never expected you to be so young. Shadow has been in the game for years. How young were you when you passed this exam?" "9."

There was an awkward silence for a few minutes before he started talking again. "I am your fan. I love your work and how you never chase after fame. You really are a true hero." "I am not a true hero. But those in there can be." He looked at the screen showing the students in the rescue exam. "I heard they are your classmates. I hope you won't play favorites and hold back." Hearing him I smirked and said, "Oh I will play favorites but I won't hold back."

With that I walked away to a seat and looked at the screen. The people around had focused on our conversation and felt a chill down their spine as they all thought, 'Teenagers Scare The Shit Out Of Me.' I ignored them and looked at the screen. Momo had remembered the things I taught her and used those materials and Midoriya too was also doing better.

The screen switched to Bakugo who was facing an over dramatic and annoying 'victim'. I signed thinking he would lose it. But before he could he closed his eyes, controlled his anger and whispered something before helping the 'victim' with the smallest whims. No one could hear what he said but I did with my hearing. "Remember you promised her." I was touched that he cared about my words. I had a faint smile on my face before it vanished as the screen flipped to the others.
