Asher

I thought I am going to die of boredom. Nevertheless, this stranger and her little over tempered friend is going to entertain me anyways. I am not saying that Eva is boring. It's just that what else we will talk about? All about the business and accounts… Ahhh….

"So what are you doing now? Like here?" little Sophie asked me.

"The same reason you are here." She's so damn cute. When I saw her with her friend, I thought both are sisters. Mostly the other girl. She has that elder sister vibe around her. However, I pity her now. She's not interested in a talk with Eva and her accounts. It's clear as fuck and all written on her face. But she's trying to concentrate on what Eva is talking about. I like her. She's not trying to ditch what Eva is talking about. It's obvious why a biomedical student like her would hear about accounts and all?

"So … What you think?" Sophie asked me.

God. Was she talking all this time, and I wasn't even paying attention. Her friend is more than intriguing.

"Sorry. I didn't hear from you. What were you saying?" I asked her politely. Sophie continued to say about what she was talking about earlier, about her bio classes. After some time, I saw Sophie's angry friend was texting someone and stood up, shaking hands with Eva. I guess Eva likes her. Then she came to me and was given a firm handshake. I think that's a bad sign for me.

"Congrats. All the best for your future," she said.

"Yeah... Yeah.." I don't know what's those congrats for. I didn't even ask why.

"Sophie, shall we?" she turned to Sophie.

"Yup! Okay, bye, Mr. Stone," Sophie made it more like a conference meeting.

"Asher. I prefer Asher," I said

"Okay, Asher. See you'," she said with a smile. But still, her friend is looking at her phone. Then Sophie patted her shoulder, and they both went out.

"I like her. She so… I don't know what to say," Eva said. I think she said about Sophie.

"Yeah. Sophie is so cute, right?" I said, sipping my tea.

"Yeah! But I was talking about Taylor," she said, eating her pastries.

"Taylor? Oh yeah! The other one! You liked her. Why so?" Impressive. Eva likes the short-tempered Taylor.

"She so interesting. Moreover, she is a biomedical student too." She said, smiling.

"I don't think she feels the same, Eva. Did you saw her face? Like seriously… You were talking about accounts to a biomedical student. Don't you have sense?" I smirked.

"What? She's the one who asked me about all that!" she said after finishing her remaining food.

"Oh yeah, like she wanted to know. She just asked you because she doesn't want to make it awkward between you two," I said.

"No, Asher. She asked me about all the things we handle. Like what you do? What profit do you get? Etc." she said, amused.

"What? That's interesting!" she was asking about me or my job?

"Yeah, right?" she said. Hmm. The stranger is so strange.

"Whatever! By the way, your choice for pastries this time wasn't failed anyway. It's a…. amazing. But tea and pastries not matching Eva." She always chooses the wrong pastry every time, but today it was okay. But I don't think her coffee and pastry is a good match.

"Oh! I didn't choose it. It was Taylor's choice," she said casually.

"What? Why she choose it? I didn't even talk to her by that time," I said in confusion. "Aww… Don't burn your head too much, Man. We both were confused about what to take. So I told her I would make something for her and she will make something for me. That's it." She said, smirking.

"Huh… Anyway. She gave good taste," I said. That was when I checked my watch to know that it's past 11:30, which means I need to get my ass at the Office.

"Uh! Eva, we don't have time. I have a meeting. I need to reach the Office." I said I forgot about the meeting. How I …?

"Okay. Thanks for coming anyway. See you soon." She hugged me. "Anytime, girl," I said, hugging her back. We took a cab and dropped her at her place. Then to my office.

My head was full of the mysterious girl who wanted to know about my business. Did she think that am an asshole that is into women trafficking? Nothing there is to surprise. Many people thought that before they know anything about our actual business is.
