After my graduation, I had been sitting home without doing anything for days. Mom and dad kept compelling me to work abroad.

Yeah.

It is good. But this suddenly?

I just graduated. I don't want to run away from my homeland.

Half of my classmates got jobs after graduation. I, too, got a lot of offers. However, I was not too fond of it.

So I decided to go for my own business. It will be amazing to be the CEO of a company. You don't have to obey anyone's order. You make rules. And live them. Ha!

We create job offers for women, who need them, help students get scholarships and internships, and help them move on with their careers e. It was my idea to create such a medium.

Everyone was against it. Saying that what I get from this. It's a waste of time. Blah blah blah…. I don't care, actually. I do get a profit. I do web designing for several companies. And I earn a good amount of money from it. So basically, I started with two people, me and my friend Zoe. Now, it's more than twenty people works here. Maybe in the future, there will be more. Who knows?

"Sorry, Mr. Stone, I am late again," my assistant Ruby stumbled through the door.

"Careful, don't fall again," I said. She made it a hobby to come late and fall in front of me. Uh!

"No, I won't, sir. Here your tea and the things you ordered." She put the tea and the things on my table.

"Thank you, Ruby" I give a firm smile to her. It is not that I didn't like her. She is an honest and good worker. It's just keeping your assistant where they should be better for you. After all, I am the boss.

Ruby stood there. She keeps fidgeting her fingers and looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

She winced and said, "Nothing, sir."

"Then what are you looking at? Go do your works," I said.

"Yes, sir" with that, she left my room.

Sometimes I think something is wrong with her. She was okay when she came here for an interview for the assistant's post. Her grades were okay, and she was brilliant in her activities. I actually took her for her confidence. She didn't even wince once in the interview. She was remarkably awesome than the others who came here. However, after some months, she started to act weirdly. I don't know why. I asked her. She didn't say anything. I even hired Zoe to ask her what the matter is. Still nothing. I wonder what happened to her.

Suddenly my phone rang. I took it.

"Asher…my buddy…. Where the heck are you?" Carter, my older brother, shouted from another side.

"Uh… What you want now?" I asked him. He probably needed something from me. Or why he even care where I am now.

"Did you tell mom that you are going to take her to see grandma tomorrow?" he asked me.

What? When did I say that?

"No. I didn't. Who told you that" I said.

"I know you didn't, you idiot. Listen, take mom to see grandma tomorrow and spare me from this," he said.

"WHAT?" I shouted. Everyone in the hall looked at my side. I waved them to continue their works.

"What the heck are you talking about? I can't take her to see grandma, Susan. She's too much, man. I can't take her shit. Mom asked you to go with her. Why are you asking me?" I complied.

"Asher…. Please, man. I have plans for tomorrow. I can't go with her. And I know how much grandma Susan talks; you can handle her, bro. Don't worry." He said as he sent me to a cave of shit eating sloths.

"Ha…ha…ha…" seriously? I am laughing. Seriously am I laughing?

"Why are you laughing," Carter asked in confusion.

"You know her. Last Christmas, she almost made me run buck naked through the field."

"Yeah, man. I know that. But, she likes you more than me." he cooed.

"Carter. I can't. Sorry. I have a board meeting tomorrow. I told mom that already that's why she asked you to come with her," I lied.

"WHAT?" this time, it's him who shouted. "Why can't you say that earlier?"

"I didn't say because I could say now," I smirked, saying it.

"Fucker !!!!" then the line went off.

He was really pissed. I hope that he won't ask about the meeting with mom.

Then I continued my work on the internship we have to set up this month. This was actually Zoe's work. Nevertheless, she was incapable of doing it. I didn't say it in the wrong way. She said her self. So I am helping her, that's all. My phone chimed on the table. It was a message from my old college mate, Eva.

Eva: up 4a coffee… r u in?

Mm…I have almost done the work anyway. So.. that's a yes.

Asher: place? & time?

I got a reply immediately.

Eva : @ paisley's? 10:40 ?

Paisley's?.. It's the best coffee place, and I don't know they offer tea. But I gave her thumbs up. She replied with a smiling emoji. I closed my mac and called Ruby.

"Ruby, I am leaving for now. I need to see someone. So you got today's schedule, I hope?" I asked her.

"Yes, Mr. Stone." She said.

"Good. Then I am leaving. Please don't make any mishap, okay," I said to her and left for Paisley's.
