Trapped in the Equipment Room

Miao Dong moved the last cushion into the equipment room. It was already dark. She was so tired that she was panting. She held the shelf beside her and hammered her waist. She let out a long sigh. "As expected, a lazy person like me is not suitable for sports."

"Indeed," said a voice behind him.

The sudden response shocked Miao Dong. She turned around abruptly and lowered her body by half. "Who? Who is there?!"

The door of the equipment room was suddenly closed. Hearing the sound of an iron bolt sliding on the door, Miao Dong hurriedly ran over to knock.

Someone was trying to lock her up.

She knocked on the door twice and shouted, "A straightforward person doesn't resort to insinuations. What kind of man are you to play such dirty tricks behind my back?! Let me out! If you have what it takes, let's meet face to face!"

Shen Ming sneered. "Miao Dong, I advise you to save your energy. Even if I let you out, can you beat me?"

Miao Dong immediately recognized Shen Ming's voice and cursed in her heart. This b*stard is playing dirty!

However, Miao Dong tried her best not to sound so panicked. She understood the mental state of people who did such bad things too well. The more you struggled, the happier they would be. It was like playing with a pet to satisfy the twisted pleasure in their hearts.

Miao Dong said, "If you don't want me to complain to the teachers, I advise you to let me out now."

Shen Ming was amused. "I didn't expect you to still talk tough while being locked up here. Miao Dong, I advise you to save your energy. Complain to teachers? We both have something on each other. It won't be good for us if you make a fuss."

Shen Ming suddenly kicked the door. The metal door shook, scaring Miao Dong so much that she took two steps back.

He continued, "You're unlucky to have fallen into my hands today. It's considered a light punishment for me to lock you up! Unfortunately, I didn't see the brat who helped you. Otherwise, I would have locked him up too! Let me tell you, the person who dared to provoke me hasn't been born yet!"

Miao Dong was really worried that he would open the door and beat her up. She could only wait for his footsteps to fade away before cursing him. Then, she prayed that someone would discover that she was missing and come to save her.

However, she quickly lost hope. There was no PE class at night. If she wanted to be discovered, she could only wait until the next morning when the PE teacher opened the equipment room again.

Miao Dong deflated and her stomach kept growling.

"I'm so hungry!" Miao Dong rubbed her stomach and said even more. "Sigh, my stomach, stop shouting. I know you're hungry and I feel uncomfortable too. It's fine if you could shout louder and call somebody over. But now you're only making me more irritated!"

Miao Dong was on the brink of tears. It was already black outside. The equipment room was located in the space below the audience stand. The moonlight could not shine in, so the entire equipment room was pitch-black.

Darkness was already very scary, but what was even more terrifying was the silence. Endless fear surrounded Miao Dong, and all her emotions surged in an instant.

She was suddenly hit by a car, left her parents, came to this inexplicable book world, and was tortured by some damn health points. The pain that Miao Dong had suppressed for so many days suddenly erupted, and she broke down.

Tears kept flowing out of Miao Dong's eyes. She cried loudly, and her voice became louder and louder. She curled up into a ball and leaned against the metal door. At this moment, the despair made her feel suffocated. "Who can come? Save me…"

It was unknown how long she had been crying for, but Miao Dong's voice was hoarse from crying. Her voice gradually became softer. From the initial wailing to the soft sobbing now, Miao Dong felt that she had no strength at all. Even her tears had dried up.

The night was still long and utterly silent. There was not even the sound of insects or birds. It was as if she was locked in a black box.

Miao Dong recalled the videos she often saw on the Internet. Foreigners would be rewarded by staying in a quiet and dark room for three days. Previously, she had thought that it was very simple. They would just sleep for three days and three nights before taking the money and leaving. Now, she realized that the emptiness was not something ordinary people could endure.

What was Miao Dong going to do alone during this long night?
