A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

The Day Before The School Arc...

David had left the array, only to see a mad, pouting Bennett staring at him in annoyance.

(Reference to Konosuba's Aqua face meme?)

"... Hah... hah... you... you win this time!" Bennett panted, the array still allowed their physical bodies to experience the loss of mana and stamina, which greatly drained him as he made a tougher 2nd mana layer which was almost broken by David if not for his mana continuously strengthing it.

"Heh, you still got a lot of work to do..." David smiled creepily, making Bennett shiver slightly.

He quickly got off the ground and carefully shook him, "Hey... w-what did you mean by that?"

"Nothing!" David stuck his tongue out, clearly teasing him, but Bennett sulked, thinking that it was real.

"... Good reaction, but it makes me feel slightly bad, come on, let's go eat lunch. You're hungry aren't you?" he asked.

*Rumble...*

Bennett blushed, lowering his head, and gritted his teeth before running upstairs.

"Alright, how long did you last this time, Bennett?" Sarah patted his head as he pouted at her.

"It was around... 20... seconds..." Bennett blushed in shame as he couldn't even last half a minute against David.

"You've improved then." Ben tried salvaging the situation by praising him, though he really did improve. He made much more progress in this month than he did for the past 5 years!

"Hmph!" Bennett ignored him as he thought his father was pitying him... which he kind of was.

"Don't worry, you've improved a lot!" David grinned as he patted his brother's back.

It was quite effective, though he was still pouting he just continued eating his food in silence.

"Now where were we? Oh, right... yeah, we've actually never been to those magic academies... at best we were scouted by the military when we were young." Ben continued their story.

Sarah and Ben were sharing a bit more about their own childhood, giving us a sense of luxury as our 'parents' had given so much so that their children could have a better life.

In summary...

The humans today are actually much older than the ones on Earth. Since their bodies have been constantly purified by mana, even if the commoners couldn't use it, their life expectancy is already around 200 years... 150 years if they do hard work. (That's tier 0)

The nobles who are able to use magic and are able to break through to at least the first tier, greatly purifying their bodies, giving them a truly pure bloodline, enhanced physical capabilities, and a life span of around 300-400 years.

From that example, David could already deduce that the elf's 1000+ year life span would've been fake coming from the human race's life span, it might even reach 10s if not 100s of thousand for their lifespan instead... like the other races.

David's two new parents were quite young on their own (the world's standards), only being around their 80s to reach the peak of tier 4, even able to rival those 'hidden' experts in the 5th tier!

(Yes, the current world's standards are literal garbage... like those other martial art novels and stuff...)

Anyway... the two were extremely talented for their age, even if there weren't any 'real' wars going on, mostly just diplomatic/political disputes leading to one thing and another.

Sarah started to train in the knight order at the age of 10 as they were still nobles and needed some education on their etiquette. Ben had also started to train in the military at the age of 10, just in the magician's court, with some occasional physical training to keep everything balanced.

Since they were so talented, they were able to finish their 'training' and were promoted to the equivalent of a 'recruit' by age 11. Again, with the talent thing, they started to accept missions by the age of 12 and became famous in their own departments of the military by 14.

Only when they were 14, did they meet each other. By then, technology and traditional thinking was still in place, where nobles would engage at 14 and marry at 16-17.

Since they were both kids at the time, Sarah was quite mischievous, constantly 'bullying' Ben for his weak body as a 'man'. As they went on missions together, involving monster exterminations, dungeon diving, explorations... they began to get closer with each other.

By the time they reached 16, they got fell in love with each other and got engaged, two years later than normal, but understandable, considering their job.

They became more and more famous as time went on, giving their family honor, and even promoting Ben's family to the rank of Marquis.

By the time they reached their 40s, they finally reached tier 4, and became the new heads of the Vale household, managing military affairs.

Since Bennett was 15 by now, they had him when they were in their late 60s or early 70s, meaning that they were now at least mid-4th tier. When they both reached peak-4th tier, did they solidify their noble positions in the capital.

Back to the present...

"Amazing!" David's eyes brightened.

'If it took them so long just to reach tier 4... then what about the higher ranks...' David had a slight headache thinking about it.

"Hmph! Of course, we're awesome!" Ben nodded with pride in his tone.

"Mother, what else did you do?" David clearly ignored Ben and was only looking forward to Sarah's part of the story.

Ben, who was crestfallen, sulked on his seat with Bennett comforting him. They were also currently at the dining table, eating their supper, chatting happily.

As Sarah told her share of her stories, even if they were somewhat exaggerated, David did believe them, after all, with enough strength and knowing the actual ranking from the system, the things she said do seem to be possible.

"Alright, alright. It's getting late, you have your test tomorrow so get to sleep early." Sarah reminded calmly, seeing that they finished their dinner.

"I-yes, mother." During this month, the total amount of times he saw his parents barely reached 2 days a week, and that was at most too! They would be gone for a whole week and a half one time.

Due to the fact that David never had a real family before, he was reluctant to let them go, yet, he didn't want to annoy them, so he followed their 'orders'.

Bennett and David both went to their rooms to brush up and sleep, excited as they would get to go to the academy, even if only for a test.
