Although the blinds were able to block the sun, David was still able to sense that it was already morning, and due to the fact that he needed a lot less sleep than a regular human, he woke up with energy.
David stretched his body as much as he could in the little space he had in the carriage. After he was done, he exaggerated his movements to wake Bennett up, as he would rather not be rude and poke him.
Hearing some movement, Bennet had woken up as well. Rubbing his eyes, he yawned as well, and with his messy but cute look, it was absolutely adorable. If there were any uhh... (Onee-chans) mature females, they probably would've jumped at this "cutie".
Wanting to tease him a bit, David quickly opened the blinds. Since it was already a few minutes in, the sun was already up and at the perfect angle, getting into Bennett's eyes.
Before he could complain about saying anything, a screen popped up in both of their faces, surprising them.

Seeing the screen fade away, the two looked at each other, Bennett wide-eyed, while David was smiling.
Bennett "woke" up, and before David could even speak, he pounced on him.
It didn't go well. Due to David's experience with the caves and the monsters he fought, he instinctively dodged, making Bennett hit his face on the seat.
"Oww! Why'd you dodge, David?" Getting up from the seat, Bennett rubbed his head, pouting at David.
"Oh? Your attitude changed quick..." David absently said.
"Of course! Especially since the system confirmed how we were related, and since you don't seem to be the type to have friends... of course I knew who you were!... Owww..." Bennett who was already standing, lifted his head in pride, only to hit the ceiling and fall back down to his seat.
"Oh yeah! I've been trying to find you for years! I thought you would've been at least in one of the cities... why did you appear now?" Bennett said after he sat down.
Before David could respond, the door to the carriage was opened, revealing Bennett's driver.
"Young master, it's time for breakfast." he said, ignoring David.
Although Bennett was mad, he didn't lash out. After all, living in this world for 15 years taught him a few things. If he were to make a commotion about wanting David to be treated the same way as he was, his "family" would be a laughing stock, and both he and David would be abused.
David saw how Bennett reacted to people ignoring him. He wanted to calm him down, but he didn't want to touch him, after all, even if he didn't mind, the driver might mind him "dirtying" his young master. He did learn the hard way at school already, so being in a most likely medieval timeline, the treatment could be even worse.
They both go out of the carriage after a moment of awkward silence.
Because they were traveling, for the nobles the food wasn't too good, and for Bennett, that was true too. After all, he ate what David cooked for him when he went to school every day and bought some food when he couldn't.
To be honest, for David, it wasn't too bad considering that they were in the wild with rations as food. They ate their solid rations of whatever it was while David stealthily ate some meat for his breakfast.
After they were done eating, David and Bennett went back to the carriage. Although they did talk about some things, because they didn't fully trust each other, they didn't talk about their past.
They began talking more about their past as they didn't see each other for a long time.
"Mn. I'll go first then, I was actually reborn as a... hybrid, I guess its slightly different from a demi-human, as I have the bloodlines of multiple beasts, the most apparent one being the dragon."
"I was basically stuck in a cave for around some time, killing lizards, golems, bats, rats... ants... spiders." David slightly said the last two, since he was still traumatized from how huge insectoid could be in this world, even if he could kill them easily.
"Must've been a bad time huh? How many of... 'them' were there?" Bennett teased.
"You! Hmph!" now David was the one crossing his arms and pouting.
"Alright, alright. I'm wrong, anyways, anything after that?" Bennett pressed on.
"Yeah, so when I escaped the Island, I landed in a deserted area, before finding a nice plain space to evolve. After that, I went to the city of Bales to learn more about this world, money, guilds, etc." David answered briefly.
"I see, I see. You're saying this took you less than 1 month or around that timeframe to do all of that?" Bennett asked.
"Mhm!" David nodded.
"How-no, I should be happy..." Bennett smiled at David.
"Huh? Why?" He tilted his head.
"You've changed, your more relaxed... in some situations, but overall, you seem brighter than before." Bennett pointed out.
"I... I did. Anyway, what about you? You did say that you're 15 years old now, so what did you do?" David asked.
Because Bennett was a normal human, his life was only slightly more eventful than commoners. He couldn't really do anything for the first 3-4 years until in his 5th year in life could he walk. Then after he was able to walk, due to the fact the body he was in didn't have too much talent, he wasn't able to obtain magic until he was 8 years old.
With his etiquette, sword, and magic teachers, even if he wasn't talented, with the resources he had, he surpassed most talents with hard work alone by the time he was 13. Due to the amount of training he had, he was finally able to go out on a mission a few days after his 15th birthday.
And around a month in, he finished his first mission given to him by his family since he wasn't the eldest brother, giving him some more options.
"And the rest is... basically what just happened a day ago." Bennett finished.
"Woah... seems like you were quite pampered to some extent, congratulations on finishing your first mission!" David clapped.
"Mn. Thanks..." Bennett gave a wide smile, showing all his teeth, looking especially innocent.
Talking a bit more as they finally know each other's identity, by the time they finished catching up with each other, it was already 3 in the afternoon.
Looking out the window, David could see an even taller and larger wall compared to the city he was in. It was so large that even the castle in the middle was quite tiny.
'Huh... oh well, guess we're skipping the minor city arc or whatever.' he thought.
"Oh, we're here? Welp, welcome to Uesta, the capital city of the Uesta kingdom!" Bennett exaggeratedly spread his arms out and said.
