'Woah... so this is what those main characters see when they get the system... not bad, not bad...' Bennett basically forgot about the suffering he just went through like half an hour ago.

He looked at the interface with interest, there was a clear sparkle in his eyes as he slowly smiled.

"So I guess this means... I get to be the main character? Wait... it said it was a sub-system... so maybe not?" Bennett tilted his head.

"Whatever, I'll ask David when he wakes up." He waves away the interface before looking down.

David was currently in a white space, like the hyperbolic chamber (DBZ Series), where there was a simple wooden cottage, yet everything else was just white.

He was in his own space, exploring what seems to be nothing. He gave up after walking away from the cottage for around a minute as he wouldn't get any real results yet. He still needed to wake up as to not make Bennett worry about him.

Although he wanted to look at it more, there wasn't much, even for the cottage. Just a stone fireplace, basic kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and dining room. Though... coming from the system, he could tell that all of the items here were actually top quality, seems like it goes with full practicality and little to no fashion.

David went to the door in the corner of the living room pop up in front of him. He turned the doorknob and found himself on Bennett's bed.

"Mghhh... ahh..." David sat up as if his body was struck by lightning.

He didn't even notice the surprised look on Bennett's face as he looked at himself as he was fine after nearly draining himself from the inside out.

"David? David!" Bennett waved his hands in front of David, snapping him out of his daze.

"Ah? You're fine now? How does it feel? Does it still hurt?" David grabbed onto Bennett's shoulder gently, as he didn't want to hurt him after all the pain he just went through.

"I'm the one who should be worried! It's been a few hours... and I was worried you'd wake up after mother calls us for dinner." Bennett shook him off.

"Oh... don't worry I'm fine now!" David grinned, pumping his fists in the air without any signs of soreness or pain.

"Thank god! Considering how op the systems usually are, I thought you would be given a harsh punishment by going against them." Bennett sighed.

"Mn? Like I said, it's fine!" David patted his shoulders.

"Ah shoot... but I may need to take a shower, I'm gonna go to my room now, see ya!" David ran back to his room to clean up.

After he was done showering, he changed his clothes into a full black casual wear, casual, but good enough as he was inside a house.

"Dinner's ready children!" They heard a yell from downstairs.

"Coming!" They heard each other yell.

Going downstairs, they saw a large table of food, as if it was a feast. There were... they didn't know how, but... the foods there.

There were a whole chicken and turkey, tons of other meat mixed with vegetables, salads, soups, stews, etc. There were too many to take note of.

Bennett facepalmed, and looked at his friend David who was next to him with shining eyes full of excitement.

'Oh god. My mom won him over with food.' He rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Ara? Come, come! Don't let the food get cold!" Sarah warmly welcomed.

"Ok, mother." they both answered, making the Vales amused.

Sarah stared at Ben with a deep look in her eye, as if to say, 'He's so much better than our son, don't you say so?'

Ben, not knowing what to do, nodded helplessly.

David sat down after seeing that Bennett was also walking to the table. He observed how everyone at and copied them perfectly, surprising everyone.

Sarah's smile widened even further, 'I made so much food, and yet he's able to eat so patiently! AHHHH! He's so much better than my son that I painstakingly raise for 15 years!'

Knowing what she was thinking, Bennett pouted at his mother.

David, who didn't know what was going on with the family, continued to eat like there was tomorrow, yet he also kept his manners.

After around 30 minutes, David was able to eat over 70% of the entire table before he was full, while everyone else at the table only ate around 25% of the food on the table.

David saw that no one was taking the rest of the food, so he wiped his mouth with a cloth and looked up. He saw the shining eyes of Sarah, and avoided her sight as much as possible, downing the other 5% of the food on the table.

When they were done eating, David wiped his mouth again before sighing out of comfort.

'Mn. rich people's food is amazing!' He definitely didn't know that Sarah was the person who cooked the meal.

"Bennett dear, are you sure you don't want another brother?" Sarah suddenly asked with sparkling eyes.

"I-uhh... can we not talk about that, mother?" Bennett closed his eyes to avoid her gaze.

"Ara, then what about you David?" Sarah smiled with a hand on one of her cheeks.

"Mn? I think of Bennett as a brother anyways, so I don't really have any opinion." He replied, getting a smile from Ben.

'He really does seem genuine. I guess... I could accept him.' Ben sized up David.

"Mn, mn, alright then, Sarah, if you accept him as a son, I agree as well!" Ben declared, surprising Bennett and David.

"Eh?" The two boys exclaimed.

"Oh! That's great! Since David doesn't have an opinion, then let's get everything ready then!" She clapped her hands.

"Then it's decided, ok you two. Go to bed first, we'll talk about this tomorrow!" Ben added.

"Ah? Wait! I appreciate the kindness, but... are you really sure about this?" David suddenly said.

"Of course we are! At first, we did doubt you, but after dinner today, I couldn't sense any real malice from you about us at all, at most playfully. Plus, Bennett let his guard down too many times around you, so it should be fine." The Vales glared at Bennett, making him sweat.

"Yes, yes, I'll be more careful of strangers... but he isn't one." He avoided their eyes.

"Hmph. At least let mother pamper you a little..." She pouted as she ran up to hug little David, placing him on the couch and laying him down onto her lap.

Before he could touch her thighs, he quickly got up and bowed, "Thank you for trusting me, I don't know about the ceremony, so I won't waste your time... M-mother, f-father."

After saying his thanks, David quickly blushed and went upstairs.

Both Ben and Sarah looked at David's back, full of smiles before glaring at Bennett.

"It's already so late! Be more like your new brother and go to sleep already. Hmph!" she said as she was washing the dishes.

"Ok..." Bennett, dejected, left with his back slouched, showing his slight sadness.

**(David's Room)**

'I wonder if they'll agree to train me. Maybe my attributes will rise just as fast as when I'm fighting and eating hundreds of weaker monsters.' He clenched his fist in excitement.

'Mn. Sleep early, wake up early!' Rinsing his teeth, he went to bed immediately.
