A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

Finding The Hideouts

After a few minutes...

Progress was fast, everyone brought ample supplies to set up camp. Logs, boulders, stones, twigs, not much was left behind.

"Nice, those could last us for the night. Can you stack the firewood together and surround it with stones? For the larger stones, you can place it a bit further away from the campfire to sit on." David ordered.

Hearing that, everyone went to work, carefully placing everything according to David's plan.

A few more minutes later...

There were five tents surrounding the large campfire they made.

The first two tents were for the siblings, David/Bennett, and Feil/Elizebeth.

For the others, each one was for Sam, Kyle, and Hana.

Currently, everyone was sitting on some large boulders and logs they carried back to camp. Right now, they were eating some cooked boar skewers made straight from the logs they were sitting on after sharpening some broken-off branches.

After everyone had eaten, David had everyone go to sleep for the night.

The next day...

David woke up and started the campfire, cooking the leftover meat they had from last night. He made sure not to bother the others since it was still very early, the sun had just started to rise.

While he was cooking, he suddenly realized something...

'Warm... wait... crap! I forgot about the map!' David grabbed something from his pouch.

"Everyone wake up! I have something important to tell you all." He shouted.

From his shout, groans were heard across the five tents.

"Why'd you wake us up so early...?" Bennett yawned.

"Come on guys, eat your breakfast first before we talk." He pointed to the campfire.

Hearing that, everyone woke up.

While they were eating, David had placed a map on a flat boulder, "Here, while we were hunting some monsters, I was able to draw a map and enchant it. I... kind of forgot to show it last night."

David had everyone come closer to see the map.

"Impressive, I didn't know you could map so well just from our surroundings." Feil complimented.

"I have some eyesight, had to do something while you were doing all the hunting work." David shrugged.

He obviously wouldn't tell them about the system and its uses, especially when you have the 'skills' for it.

"Anyway, we've already used up... 15 hours here, which would be two hours outside. We need to finish this within the next ten hours, everyone fine with that?" David asked.

"That's fine."

"Agreed."

"I'm fine with that."

"Yep!"

"Mhm."

"Sure."

Seeing that everyone agreed, he pointed to a few parts on the map.

"From the enchants I've placed on the map, the small circle is the area where all of us are in. So the further we go, the larger the circle becomes. The arrow is the direction of where I am facing... since I made the map. Everyone understand so far?" He asked.

"Yes." Everyone replied.

Now, he pointed to a few of the darker places on the map, "These places are the ones we haven't explored yet, the hobgoblins are most likely in these places if not, try to search for a cave."

He then pointed to the one cave that was revealed, "I will go over to this cave. If there's anything suspicious there, I will call for everyone to come here so that we can explore this together."

Everyone nodded, but Feil spoke up, "So who's going where then?"

David pointed to two areas on the map, "Since I need you all two go to these two locations, you can split up into two groups of three."

"For here, the closest one, We'll have Sam, Kyle, and Elizebeth be in one group. There, Feil, Bennett, and Hana will explore there. Anything else?" He looked back at everyone.

"No... but when are we moving out?" Bennett looked at the meat that was being cooked on the campfire.

David followed his gaze, "Don't worry, use the last 15 minutes to organize your materials before moving out."

Everyone nodded, quickly wolfing down their food, even Feil and Elizebeth had stopped being so graceful when eating.

'What have I done... I just made five more Bennetts...' David's mouth twitched.

Seeing that everyone was ready, he pulled out two more copies of the map.

"Here, I changed the enchantments a little." He handed the maps to Feil and Sam.

David grabbed his staff from the space pouch, "You can leave now. I've marked the camp, we'll regroup after two hours, two and a half hours max before we look for you if you're not here."

Without hearing their reply, he jumped into the trees, disappearing from their view.

All of a sudden it was silent, and everyone looked at each other with a gleam in their eye.

Considering how David was taking this, everyone had subconsciously made this situation real instead of virtual. To take an exercise as seriously as you would a real battle.

Feil looked at the map again before standing, "Alright! We don't have time to waste, so let's go search the caves!"

"Got it!" Everyone stood up and split into two groups of three before leaving.

On David's side...

The cave he was going to wasn't too far away, yet, it wasn't too close either. It was perfect, since the cave is somewhat in the direction the other two caves are in, so if they do have some trouble, he could help, and if he had some trouble, they could help.

Because it was very early in the morning, he had to be extra quiet about running because some of the beasts were still asleep.

He could fly... but the number of trees covered where the cave was, so he had to travel the next fastest way he could... using tree branches like a fucking ninja!

He was jumping on the branches, getting closer and closer to the 'edge' of the map where one of the three caves were.

'My god... I think I spent too much to make this map so large... it's several fucking miles long!' David complained.

Trees... more trees... trees there... trees here... trees... trees everywhere!

From the long-distance David needed to travel, he was going crazy with how long this was going to take.

He finally arrived at the entrance of the cave after a few minutes of activating {Body Enhancement}, which increased his physical capabilities by a decent margin, even if it was only 5%.

"I... finally arrived. Now, let's see what's going on in here." David looked at the mouth of the cave frowning.

The cave was large, very large, with his racial abilities, his night vision allows him to see the lined up torches. He was even able to hear something, but he couldn't hear clearly due to the wind and the rustling of the bushes in his surroundings.

"Seems like I need to go in to find out. It may not have all the hobgoblins." His eyes narrowed.

David tied back his hair, "This might get annoying..."
