Looking at the card in his hands, David was quite happy and decided to revisit some of the guilds he had passed through.
To the East of the city, there was the Commerce guild who was in charge of money. To the west, there was the Apothecary guild, those that make pills, potions, basically the doctors. To the north, there was the Blacksmith guild and at the south, there was the alchemist guild, those who used magic formations and other forms of magic to improve life, skills, and more.
Going to the east first, David went to the commerce guild to just look around and grab their handbook for future references.
The commerce guild was quite similar to the adventurer's guild being quite large compared to the building around it. It was a slightly thin, but extremely long building made of red bricks and one of those entrances with the pillars and stairs and on top of it had the sign saying "Commerce Guild".
Going inside, there was a great difference between the interior and the exterior, leaving him slightly surprised. Like modern banks, there were a large portion dedicated to lines and a receptionist area while there were also many doors to the side for private deals and etc.
Speeding through everything, David went into the commerce guild, looked around, and grabbed a handbook before waving at the receptionist goodbye.
Then, he went west and did the same thing, looking at the pills and potions that were there, and decided that he wanted to experiment a bit on how it would work as it would also save him some money if he could do it himself. The building was large, as usual, it was mostly made with stone and wood, which was also slightly covered with herbs and the roof is a magic tree as well.
Going to the south, he saw quite an amount of craftsman around, some with jewelry, some with armor, some with weapons, etc. Going to the guild, he also took a handbook and looked around as in this area, he could see multiple people actually showing their skills in crafting. The guild wasn't too impressive as everyone in it mostly used those materials for other uses and to save money for more materials.
Because of this fact, David stayed here for a long, trying to ingrain some techniques they showed into his head as they were professionals that made weapons for potentially high-ranking adventurers.
He even went as far as looking at those who made jewelry and enhanced orbs that were extremely conducive to mana, essential for making magic weapons.
David had been immersed in it completely, walking around and staring at the other smiths like some of the apprentices and other people as well, so it wasn't too weird that another person doing the same as well.
Because there were even some apothecaries and alchemists who were selling their works, using his magic sense, David had gotten only the best local goods and went on a slight spending spree as everything he picked was relatively cheap.
Even from this, David was also observing the goods he bought while looking at the introduction books he had from the system and compared everything he saw.
To be honest... compared to the system, even the materials these "professionals" made were barely on the basics of the books he received from the system.
That was for most of the goods, however, for the forging techniques, the system did reply that they were quite up to date and were actually the most advanced as they were more technologically advanced than the other countries and nations.
'Why would only one occupation be so developed by the system's standards?... Maybe because they were used to making quality goods for wars?' David had a finger on his chin and thought while walking around the city that still had quite a bit of people even though the sun was beginning to set.
David went back to the inn and paid a bronze coin for dinner, and went up to his room to think about what happened today.
"Ugh... too much info in one day..." David held his head before stabilizing his mind by doing a small meditation session for 10 minutes.
Getting up, he took a long shower to organize his thoughts for around 15 minutes before changing and coming out of the shower, refreshed.
"Since I know a good amount of the city now, maybe I should prepare to accept some quests tomorrow..." David laid on the bed, burying his face onto the pillow.
Pulling the covers closer to him, he placed a hand on his chest before falling asleep in a comfortable position.
