*Boom!*
*Cough, Cough!*
David coughed as the dust cloud had reached him, making him squint.
He could feel the pressure drowning him, like how someone would usually feel when someone is truly angry, ready to kill someone.
Wiping his mouth to get rid of the sand, David looked in front of him as the sand cloud cleared...
*Fwoosh*
It was there...
The instinct, that fear, the force, a choice...
'Move!' It was all David could hear screaming in his mind.
Complying with his instincts, he extended his wings and flew up into the sky.
There was a sharp aura pressing down against David, forcing him to flap his wings with extreme effort.
*Shing!*
A slash rippled through the air, forcing David to flap his wings even hard to barely dodge the attack.
Sweat dripped down his face, of course someone two tier above you wouldn't die so easily, even if your a genius nearly at the level of those protagonists from those cultivation novels, you still need superior skills... and David doesn't have that.
Gluri was in his black and red samurai uniform, though he didn't have his helmet, but it didn't make him look any less fierce and ready to kill thousands in war.
His stance changed that that of an overhead stance.
'With such range, the only way to make him unconfortable is to get extremely close to him so the length of the katana can be negated' David analyzed.
Seeing that Gluri was ready to swing at him again, David started to flap his wings and fly towards him.
It was a working at first, as David was getting somewhat close, coupled with the pressure being emitted by Gluri, his progress was considered quite good as he was fighting someone much superior than him.
Though... soon he realized that the slashes became less sharp, but carried more of a wind element as the katana slowly got shorter and shorter.
'Fuck! He's using magic now? Shouldn't his clone technique which at least one or two of them should be using magic as well since theres the prince and Sam?' David squinted, dodging the slashes that contained wind power which kept pushing him to the boundary of the colosseum.
Seeing that David had finally hit the boundary of the dimension, his strikes became even faster, as if he had more than enough mana to support it.
David could also sense the fact that Gluri's accuracy and control had become much better throughout the fight, making him panic even more.
'Seems like he had defeated the others already...' David notice some shaking on Gluri's body, and each time it happened, his power, speed, accuracy, had all increased by a margin.
David's entire body was currently working in max capacity right now, his [Mana Shield] was out to take out the brunt of the attacks he couldn't dodge, with [Advanced Correction] to help him dodge more attacks at the same time.
His eyes were constantly darting around, looking out for the next attack, not even noticing the small changes that was happening to his ever-developing body.
Although his body was growing at a great pace, that didn't stop the fact that he was overusing his [Mana Shield], and so his concentration and control have both deteriorated greatly, making him take more attacks and wasting more mana to keep the shield up.

'An emergency situation... but the system didn't give me that function before... maybe because I wasn't in such an intense situation of constant draining...' David's mind and body began to clear up, feeling light.
Feeling the boundary while dodging Gluri's wind slashes, he commented, "Maybe I can walk on the boundary?"
Testing out his theory, he prepped himself... but accidentally used too much force, and jumped on the boundary, and quickly arrived on the colosseum floor, nearly planting face-first into the ground before using his wings to stop his fall just in time.
David just realized where he was, and looked at Gluri's cold murderous eyes, 'Wait... what the hell do I do now?'
Gluri wasted no time, immediately slashing as soon as he pivoted his feet to face David.
'Well, shit! Can't dodge, block... or parry!' David raised his [Mana Shield] again, blocking and breaking itself as the attack was much stronger since he was closer this time.
Feeling the force of the slash rip his gym uniform, forming a small red line on his chest, though luckily it was just a line of red with no hint of blood, as though it was scratched.
Slightly narrowing his eyes, David looked up to see Gluri's calm face, again, with calmness, as if he wasn't fighting in the first place. There was no sweat, no paleness, no panting, nothing.
The two continue to fight after the exchange of glances...
Well... actually... it was mostly David running away from Gluri, trying to buy as much time as possible, and if there was a sliver of hope, to tire him out after a while.
Too bad that the difference in tiers was too great, coupled with the fact that Gluri hadn't moved since the first minute of the fight after he was flung a few times, he didn't consume that much stamina or much mana as all he used were basic spells.
Currently, David was on the sandy floor, panting and coughing as he inhaled the sand.
"Kah!... Fine! I-I... lose!" David hesitantly said, punching the ground.
He was too tired to lift a hand after that punch, and he reverted to his human form as his hybrid form did take some passive mana.
Before Gluri could say anything, David had already passed out from fatigue.
Seeing David pass out, Gluri's eyes flickered a strange light and reverted back to his scholarly average appearance.
He walked up to him with a smile on his face, "Even if I wasn't going all out. You did amazing... though maybe I did overdo it with him..."
He picked up David, throwing his around his shoulder, and went to the nurse's office.
