'Oh? He managed to escape my [Induce Fear] spell? Amazing!' Gluri actually didn't expect any answer from David in the first place.
"Yes... yes... interesti-"
*Ching!*
Before he could even finish his sentence, David was already in front of him and had slightly scratched the clothes that Gluri wore as his claw's width was too large to block everything in time.
Knowing that giving any chance for Gluri to recover would be very dumb, David's claws released a faint golden glow and started rushing Gluri.
He was constantly stabbing, slashing, and swiping his claws at Gluri, making him step back with a frown on his face.
'He's way too fast for his peer group...' He was getting increasingly nervous, although he was a half-step fifth tier powerhouse, he was restricted to the point of only being an early fourth-tier who just broke through.
Seeing how he was constantly backing up, David slashed again, twisting his body to lightly touch the floor, and suddenly a wall appeared behind Gluri, stopping him from moving any further.
With the fact that Gluri and David were moving at very high speeds, he crashed into the wall, spreading some dust everywhere and the wall crumbled into pieces, falling on top of him.
[Magma Wall]!
David dashed towards the wall, lightly tapped it, and changed the material from being some common earth materials into piping hot magma that could even burn some third tiers.
David looked happy as he could definitely sense how Gluri took the full brunt of the attack!
Well... it was too bad, even though Gluri was suppressed, his restrained aura, coupled with his strong body, since he needs to wield such a long katana, did make him as strong as those 5th tiers, making him unharmed. Even if he were to swim in that magma, at best, it would be a slightly warm hot tub.
"Not bad... but not good enough either!" he jumped out of the pile of magma, and appeared 15 feet away from David, with magma dripping from his uniform.
As soon as his feet touch the ground, Gluri felt a small presence of mana on his chest. The magma that was dripping off of him slowly formed as a ball, and exploded in his face.
Ignoring the magma on his skin, Gluri slashed his long katana as it enlarged, swiping across the entirety of the colosseum.
"The hell is that? The damn power pole from Dr*g*n B*ll?" David jumped to avoid the slash.
The katana retracted itself, returning to its slightly longer length version of itself.
"Damn... his body is too strong, my magic isn't strong enough to penetrate his body..." David narrowed his eyes in frustration.
'Even though I'm rushing him, as someone who should be a fourth tier, he should be able to easily dodge and counter me anyway... why didn't he? He was all strict a minute ago.' David slammed his hands into the ground, sprouting forth four walls to block Gluri in.
Instead of making the walls long, he focused on the thickness instead, at least it would buy a second or two of extra time.
*Crumble...*
Seeing the crumbled walls, David's expression fell, "As expected... a fourth rank is terrifying..." he mumbled.
"Mn. Mn. If you were in the same tier as me, that would've sealed me just nice, maybe I could've even died... too bad that you're weak.' he taunted.
Pursing his lips, David could feel that his mana is running low, "[Flux Claws]!"
Feeling a surge of power course through his hands, he dashed to Gluri. Since he was going to lose anyway, might as well go all in like he wanted him to.
The increased dexterity gave David much better control of his technique, especially with [Advanced Correction] and [Genius], he is able to control himself and his own pace in battle.
Gluri was finally taking this battle seriously, dodging his attacked, lightly parrying and blocking... though it was apparent that he knew David was losing anyway.
He swung his katana swiftly, making David unable to react with his body.
Seeing the blade reaching closer to his face, David panicked slightly, casting [Mana Shield] to take the brunt of the damage.
*... Boom!*
David was flung to the edge of the arena, with his [Mana Shield] completely crumbling, barely giving him enough time to dodge with a slight graze on his cheek, drawing blood.
'Too slow...' He criticized himself.
'Wait... he never used any magic from the start!' David's eyes widened.
While he was still in his thoughts, the small dust cloud around him suddenly made way for a figure that was above him, it was Gluri!
He swung his blade down at him.
*Ching!*
David barely blocked the sword, his feet buried in the sand of the colosseum as he was pushed to the middle of the colosseum.
Gluri lightly stepped in the sand as he ran towards David, slashing all over his body.
*Ching! Ching! Ching!*
'So he is restricted!' David knew that he shouldn't have been able to even see, let alone block a fourth tier's rush attack towards him unless he was horribly restricted.
With some hope flickering in his eyes, even if he knew he may lose, even if Gluri was horribly restricted, he still wanted to fight with all of his efforts poured into it!
*Ching! Ching! Ching!*
They continue to slash, stab and parry each other, trying to get the upper hand on one another.
"... hah... for someone that has to control... hah... 14... clones... you sure... hah... are accurate... with your... actions..." David panted out.
Even with the 14 clones taking up 14 times the normal consumption of mana and energy, Gluri seemed just fine, no sweat, shaking, or anything!
'Damn! Even my own stamina loses to him... shouldn't it be extremely tiring for him to do this, even if he received hellish training!?' David narrowed his eyes, not daring to lose focus for even a second.
Keeping his eyes peeled, David placed a water orb in front of him and lowered it into the ground around him.
The water spreads around the entirety of the colosseum, confusing Gluri.
'What's he doing now?' Gluri stayed on guard, avoiding the water spots on the sand.
'Let's hope that this is loose sand! If it doesn't, lightning works as well!' David saved some free sand within two feet of himself.
The sand had changed, feeling the change, Gluri quickly jumped up in a panic, but since he isn't someone with wings, he can't fly, so he fell back down with great force.
*Boom!*
