Bandits Part 1

Joseph and Elizabeth finally reached town, they walked the quite town marked by a sign that read 'Falador' they passed by houses some had lights on some didn't, one house in particular the door was slightly ajar a little girl peeked through the crack of the door looking at the couple that walked by curious if they were witches or humans the owner of the town the landlord had recieved a letter from the Lord of Valgron one of the highest in status of humans that there was a possibility of a raid by witches so he had ordered the townspeople to stay inside and lock thier doors. But curiosity had gotten the best of the girl, her mother noticing what her child was doing ushered her away from the door and closed it. Elizabeth and Joseph kept walking until they found an Inn the sign on the door read 'open' they walked in a went to the front desk greeting a woman with red eyes she was one of the lower class vampires where the town allowed them to work she looked up from her curtain of blond hair closing the book she was reading giving the customers that just walked in a look of annoyance her voice was similar as she spoke "may I help you?" "yes miss a room for two please?" the vampiress looked from the male to the female thier human stench burned her nose but she had no choice "that'll be two gold coins" Joseph reached in his pocket and flipped three gold coins in the air the vampress caught them without blinking "the third is for a warm meal in our room" the vampiress rolled her eyes and pulled out a golden key and handed it to Joseph "room 201" she waved her hand in dismissal and went back to her book "thank you" they walked up the wooden stairs that creaked until they found thier room the gold sign on the door read '201' with the 1 looking as if it was about to fall off .

Joseph turned the key in the knob and it opened with a click inside were two beds the sheets looking as if they hadn't been washed in weeks the side table between the beds had a lamp and a bell Elizabeth went into the small bathroom hoping to take a warm bath but she groaned when she saw the size of the tub it was so small that she would have to bend her legs uncomfortably and wouldn't be able to take a relaxing bath she turned the faucet to warm and the water flowed out, it wasn't as warm as she had hoped but it was better than nothing. Once the water was at her desired level she turned the water off and closed the door realizing that it didn't lock she hoped Joseph wouldn't barge in she blushed at the thought undressing and stepping in the lukewarm water she sunk down as much as she could the water only reached to just below her bent knees she had to splash water on her front to keep from being cold, after being in the water for at least twenty minutes she stepped out and pulled the plug letting the water drain, she put her dress back on and walked into the room seeing that Joseph was not present that worried her until the door opened with him carrying a tray of food Elizabeth stared at the food making her mouth water she couldn't remember the last time she had eaten a real meal he set the tray down on the side table and uncovered the two plates they contained sliced fruit and chunks of meat, he handed her her plate and took his own they consumed thier meal in minutes there bellies full they went to sleep on separate beds not knowing what awaited them.
