Conjoined at the hip.

Emily dressed up, intending to go shopping. After she was done, she called up Blair, a close friend of hers.

"Hello girl...!" Blair said excitedly over the phone .

"Hey Blair! Care to go shopping?" Emily asked.

"Why not?! It's not like I have anything to do at home", she replied.

"Kk then. I'll meet you at the mall ", said Emily.

"See ya there! Byeee..."

"Goodbye".

Emily walked out, humming a tune. Seeing she was leaving the house, her bodyguard, Murray, followed her. Emily glared at him for a while before she continued walking. She really hated this. Why did she have to be followed around, all the time, like a caged animal? But that was the norm. As girls in the high society were expected to be demure and well-mannered, they were seen as weak and therefore needed protection. In fact, her father assigned to her a bodyguard to make sure she she doesn't cause trouble or taint the Rustin family's reputation by joining any dance competition or whatsoever.

Murray looked down in embarrassment. It wasn't that he wanted to invade in the fourth missy's privacy, he was just doing his job.

...

Twenty minutes later, Emily arrived at the mall with Murray following closely behind. She soon spoted Blair and waved at her.

Having noticed her, Blair yelled, "Over here Emily!" With that she skipped towards Emily. Emily smiled at the bubbly Blair who was rushing towards her. The two chatted happily, totally forgetting the person standing by Blair.

"Hey Vincent! I didn't notice you there. Anyway why are you here?" Emily asked and threw a puzzled look at Blair.

She just shrugged and said, "Mind asking him for me? He just likes to follow to me everywhere. I'm already used to it. Anyway, I'll just treat him as a bodyguard. I don't mind making do with one".

Vincent threw her a side glance.

"With this intelligence of yours I'd be given myself a reason to worry by letting you leave the house alone".

"Hey! You..."

Vincent ignored her. He couldn't bother himself bickering with this unreasonable sister of his. But Blair wouldn't stop ranting.

Emily chuckled at the sight of the endearing brother-sister pair bickering as usual.

"Sometimes you two seem like twins conjoined at the hip. There can never be one of you without the other", Emily teased.

Blair glared daggers at her brother before hooking her arms with Emily's.

"Let's leave him alone. Hmph! Poking his nose into women's stuff! How ungentlemanly!"

With that she ignored her brother and went into the mall with Emily.

...

"I want this dress"

"I want this dress"

Both ladies said at the same time. Blair turned to look at the lady behind her and turned back to the attendant.

"Please give me the dress. I first saw it", said Blair. The lady behind her looked at her disdainfully and said to the attendant, "I first took it so naturally, it belongs to me. Who first saw it doesn't matter. Just looking at her, I don't even think she can even pay for it", she said haughtily.

Blair gritted her teeth in anger. Just who did these rich men's daughters think they were? Only because she didn't wear branded clothes like her didn't mean she couldn't afford an expensive dress at the mall.

"I..." The attendant was stuck between the two. She was at loss of what to do. Clearly, it was the beautiful miss in front of her who saw it first yet the other lady was someone she couldn't afford to offend. She was the daughter of the CEO of JK Enterprise, Celestine. She stood there, unsure of what to do while the two ladies battled it out.

Vincent clenched his fist tightly, suppressing the urge to punch that foul-mouthed rich heiress. He could barely contain his anger. Emily touched his shoulders lightly and shook her head to tell him not to do anything rash.

With that, Emily sauntered towards the quarrelling pair.

"Everyone here saw that Blair was the first person to take fancy to the dress. Why snatch it?" Emily calmly said.

"Who dares..." Celestine instinctively turned to see who dared oppose her. She let out a derisive laughter upon figuring out who it was.

"I was wondering who dares to oppose me but who would have thought..." she sneered and continued, "It was the illegitimate miss of the Rustin family".
