A Kiss From Darkness

Warning… Matured content. “Look at me,” he commanded, his eyes boring into her like black pits of venom. Lilith’s chest tightened as she stared at the floor and the room seemed to shrink around her. “Dinner with the devil is one thing. Staring at the embodiment of evil itself…quite another.” Dracula’s smirk widened, his fingers squeezing Lilith’s chin. “Oh, and do I frighten you, little one?” His eyes burned into her, piercing her soul like daggers “You see now the truth of my power. You thought you could challenge me, toying with my affections as though I were some lovesick puppy.” Lilith sighed, because despite the darkness that swirled around her, she found herself unafraid of Dracula. “Now, look at me, and speak what you have beneath your heart,” he commanded. Lilith’s chin lifted with a surge of defiance. "Dracula Beelzebub. You are nothing but a monstrous abomination." she hissed, her voice dripping with disdain. "A fiend of the lowest caliber, unworthy of even a moment of my time." Dracula raised an eyebrow as he smirked, impressed by her insults. "And yet, you cannot deny that I am the most powerful being in this room." Lilith sneered. "Yo… You deserves to be banished back to the bowels of Hell." Dracula smiled, his teeth white in the flickering candlelight. "Ah, but where’s the fun in that? I much prefer making life interesting for the mortals." Lilith's hands curled into fists at her sides, and she took a step forward. “Interesting?" she spat. "You call torment and misery ‘interesting’? You are a demon, feeding off the misery and pain of others." Dracula chuckled, spreading his arms wide in a gesture of mock surrender. "And what of it? What do you intend to do about it, little mortal?" ~~~~~ Meet Lilith Raziel, a young, beautiful orphan who was born blind. However, when a mysterious creature appears in the woods, Lilith’s life is turned upside down. Her world shifts from darkness to one filled with mystical creatures and the secrets of the underworld. On the other hand, lurking in the shadows, lies Dracula Beelzebub, a devilishly handsome man who relishes in the misery and demise of others. Beneath his charming façade lies a dangerous secret—Dracula Beelzebub is the devil incarnate. And he has set his sights on Lilith Raziel, a woman he’s determined to ensnare in his diabolical plans. _"To love a demon is to have your soul bound in chains of darkness.” — Lucifer’s Inferno. Unwelcome.

"Why are you staring at your screen in horror?" Morgana inquired as she stretched her neck towards Lilith's phone while Lilith closed her eyes to collect her thoughts. "Don't tell me that seeing your reflection on a blank screen now scares you?" Morgana went on to say and her statement baffled Lilith.

Lilith opened her eyes and looked at her phone screen, but there was no message, which was surprising to her. "I received a threat message a minute ago." Lilith typed on her phone.

Morgana, who does not entirely understand Lilith's comment, immediately arches her brows.

"Sorry, but I don't quite understand," Morgana uttered.

Lilith's confusion mounted as she raked her fingers through her hair in frustration. "I could swear that I received a threat message a while ago but I'm surprised by the fact that the message is no more here."

Morgana gently placed her hand on Lilith's chin, causing Lilith to stare at her. "There's no way an SMS message that is being sent to your phone would delete on its own," Morgana muttered as she attempted to reason with Lilith. "I feel that your head is messing with you and you are beginning to imagine things," Morgana added.

Lilith felt a pit in her stomach, but she chose to ignore the text message, convincing herself that it was just her brain playing tricks on her.

The two friends spent the entire afternoon together, allowing their thoughts to stray to things they didn't believe were feasible.

As the clock struck three o'clock, Lilith and Morgana got dressed and stepped out of the house.

"Morgana. Where exactly are you taking me?" Lilith wrote as she questioned her friend, her brow arched upward.

"You will find out soon enough," Morgana whispered, and as she winked at Lilith, she continued walking along the bustling street.

All Lilith could do was follow her friend, believing that Morgana would take her somewhere nice.

Ten minutes later, Morgana was partly at the front of a boutique, and as she glanced at the retail emblems, her eyes lit up with amusement. "Here we are Lilith Raziel." She spoke, spreading her hands in the air.

Lilith scoffs, seeming to be unimpressed that Morgana has taken her to a boutique.

Morgana, sensing Lilith's unease, clapped her hands together to lighten the mood. "Come with me," she said, turning around with a mischievous grin. "I'll take you to the restaurant where I work. Maybe you'll find it more to your liking, and perhaps I can even find you a job there." She said sarcastically.

Lilith rolled her eyes because she knew Morgana was only making a phony threat. "I am overjoyed that you have taken me to this boutique. Morgana." Lilith stated while typing.

Morgana turned back to the boutique, a blush building on her cheek, and Lilith followed her inside.

The boutique's name was Elatanro, and it was known as one of the best on this side of town.

Lilith couldn't stop herself from blushing as she looked about at the gorgeous materials of the many garments on show.

A young lady in a work uniform walks towards Lilith and Morgana, a smile on her lips.

"This way please." She whispered and led them inside, where more exquisite clothing was on display.

Lilith and Morgana followed behind the lady, and because they were both dressed in their nicest and most costly outfits, additional workers smiled as they passed by.

After a while, Lilith began to feel uneasy under her skin. She notices how others look at her as if she was someone who has dirt on her face.

"This boutique is stunning, Morgana. I believe that their clothes will cost a fortune, so why don't we leave now?" Lilith typed as she passed it to her friend to read, a hesitant smile on her lips.

Morgana, on the other hand, shrugged her shoulders. "Don't be so worried, okay? I'm going to get you a magnificent gown to wear to tonight's art gallery." Morgana spoke.

Lilith had completely forgotten about the art exhibition, but hearing Morgana's statement made her heart flutter.

"Miss, if you do not mind my asking. Are you going to Devalot's art exhibition?" The sales associate inquired of Lilith.

Lilith's lips formed a small smile, and she slowly nodded.

"Then why don't I show you our latest designs?"

Lilith wanted to dispute the sales associate's assertion since she knew the latest designs from Elatanro Boutique would be expensive but Morgana was beaming warmly at Lilith, which gave her the confidence to follow the sales associate.

Lilith was taken aback when the sales associate opened a closed door to reveal all of the designers' clothing on mannequins, and the price tags made her eyes light up with astonishment.

'They are all freaking expensive.' Lilith thought to herself as she chewed her lower lip, planning an excuse to leave the boutique.

"Here is a Monot one-shoulder cut gown and it's sold for just one thousand, two hundred and fifty-eight dollars." The saleswoman spoke as she pulled a crimson piece of the gown that she intended to present to Lilith.

Lilith sniffed her nostrils and shook her head sideways.

The sales associate smiled pleasantly as she led Lilith to another style of gown hanging on a clothing rack. "Here's our latest design from Lous…"

Before the sales associate could open her mouth to complete the names of the gowns she planned to give Lilith, there was a loud thung echo at the door Lilith had just walked through.

The rhythmic tapping of high heels on the floor echoed through the room, announcing the arrival of a new presence.

Lilith and Morgana turned, their eyes wide with curiosity, and found themselves face to face with an unexpected sight.

"Mrs..." Lilith whispered within herself, the name catching in her throat as her eyes darted to the woman before her.

Her face was veiled in shadow, her features obscured in darkness.

The woman's gaze bore into them, cold and hard, like the icy edge of a blade.
