Chapter 18: Victoria Samuelson!

Mike stared blankly at the figure going from one room to another. He saw that when she arrived at his room, she slightly opened her helmet's goggles. All he could see was a side profile. Her short hair and her fair skin but he couldn't see her face. However, he knew that it was none other than his sister.

His gaze followed all the way through when his mother caught her. How she froze and become still. He silently watched it all. Then he told his father to take care of his mother and silently went out. It took him 15 minutes to reach the watchman's office by walking. While he was walking the memories of the past kept resurfacing in his mind.

Finally, when he reached there, he saw the watchman. Walking inside the watchman's cabin, he stood there. As soon as the watchman saw him, he recognised him. After all, it wasn't an exaggeration to say that Mike was one of the most powerful men in this city.

The watchman quickly stood up and greeted him.

" Good morning! Mr Samuelson. How may I help you?!"

Their family name was actually Samuelson. However, Victoria changed it to Helson which was her mother's surname. It would not be hard for her family to find her if she didn't change her surname.

" Were you the one who was on night duty?" Mike asked seriously.

" No. It was my subordinate. He just went out before some time."

" Quickly call him back. Tell him it's urgent!"

" Y-Yes, sir!" The watchman quickly called his subordinate and told him to come back as soon as possible. Looking at Mike, he could feel all the pent-up tension and guessed that something must have happened last night.

They waited for 10 minutes before he comes back. As he had not gone too far, he reached here rather quickly.

" Good morning, Mr Samuelson. Did something happen?!" The watchman who was on night duty asked as soon as he walked in.

Mike opened his iPhone and brought it to him. Then he asked, did she come in last night?"

Renny, the watchman looked at the photo and was confused.

" Well, a woman did come last night. She didn't show her face much however, I remember she had blonde hair."

Then Mike asked anxiously.

" Did you check her identity card?! What was there?!"

Renny thought for a moment before replying.

" Yes, I remember! Her name was Victoria Samuelson. Her photo was not clear but now that I think about it, she did look like the one in the picture!"

Mike's hands trembled a little. After a long time, he asked again.

" There is surveillance here right? Show me the surveillance of the time she was here."

Renny and the other watchman quickly pulled out the surveillance and showed it to Mike. He saw a Ducati come to a stop in front of the watchman's cabin with a loud noise. From the figure of the person, you could predict that she was a woman. Then she and the watchman talked about something before she took out an identity card and gave it to him.

The watchman checked it and again said something without giving the card back. Then the woman opened the goggles off her helmet a little. Only her eyes were noticeable and her blonde hair. But it was more than enough. Then she drove off after getting her card back.

"Were her eyes Bluish-grey?" He asked in a low voice.

" Y-Yeah. They were really beautiful." Renny was stunned before he replied.

Mike walked out of the watchman cabin. He looked lost as he walked aimlessly. Soon, he comes to his house. He entered and went to her bedroom. There were no traces of her. However, he saw a very faint step on the floor that was almost negligible.

Mike went into the corner of the room and sat down. It was dark as the lights were off and the window was closed. Hiding his head, he finally let his pent-up feelings out and cried silently. Only he knew how much he regretted that night. He was so ashamed of the things he said. Only after she was gone did he understand what he told her.

He said to not make their house atmosphere messed up if she didn't have any valid reason. He told her to marry off quietly. He was really such a shameless and worthless brother. Any loving brother would be afraid of the day his only sister gets married because he wouldn't be able to stop worrying about her but here he was, pushing his sister to go away.

Now, she was really gone and she may very well not face them but what can he do? He tried everything, every resource, every connection he had to search for her. However, he still couldn't find her.

Now, she suddenly appeared out of nowhere and he still lost her once again. This is what you call being useless even after having everything beneath your feet.
