Zero

"I want him", Alpha Christopher pointed with a sudden chuckle, out of all lab rats he had chosen the one with the number Zero tag boldly embroided in his green vest.

The slave establishment had a new set of kids in their environment, after checking their ability for about a month, they had graded them accordingly and the boy choosen by Alpha Chris was the one with the least tag Zero.

The boy was short with silver hair, his blue eyes complimented the hair and the hideous green shirt made him look ugly. He was covered in mud and twigs even bruises and burns.

"What's his name?" Chris asked looking from the short boy to the security in front of him who was in charge of the slave establishment.

"He hasn't been given a name yet, him in particular has been here since he was a kid and he has been called Zero since then", the bouncer bowed slightly kissing his teeth at 'Zero'.

"oh really! I'll take him"

"we haven't started the bidding yet Alpha", the bouncer replied and gulped back seeing the glare thrown to him by the Alpha. "I'll pack him up!" the security exclaimed dragging the boy to the bathroom.

Twenty minutes later Zero was dressed in a red tee shirt and blue three quarter Jean, his silver hair was packed at the back in a ponytail since it was extremely long. He was wearing a black striped white leather slippers.

Christopher smiled and opened his arms for the boy to hug him but Zero just stood there steering at the ground, while he held tightly at the tee shirt enough for him to get it rumpled. Christopher dropped his hands and steered closely at the bouncer.

"How old is he?" he asked with a smile.

The bouncer smiled lightly and said," Zero is seventeen years old my Lord"

"And his agility still remains on Zero"

"Yes Alpha, according to Sir Julian, Zero wasn't able to carry some activities cause something Is holding him down"

"sounds interesting, Let's start with the bidding"

"Of course Alpha, How much do you want to pay on his behalf"

"Do I really have to pay?" Christopher chuckled and continued "he seems special to me, I'll pay a thousand gold coin on his behalf"

"Three thousand Gold coin alpha"

"two thousand five hundred gold coins", Chris negotiated back steering at the security who was clearly a demon.

"Deal alpha", he agreed hearing the amount, it was always hard to get more than two thousand gold coins from Alpha Christopher as he was considered stingy by every creature in his territory, he chuckle lightly and looked at Zero

Zero on the other hand was clearly conflicted hearing the negotiation between the men,'was he really worth the coins', he asked himself looking baffled. He chuckled internally and admired his name... Zero, someone without agility, he knew he was useless and it made him wonder more on why the Alpha had spent so much on him.

"Let's go Zero", the Alpha called quietly walking in front of Zero, the short boy nodded and trailed behind his new master. "Do you like the tee shirt", Christopher asked turning to Zero while stopping.

"I do!", he voiced out so silently it was barely audible but with Chris' ears he could hear it loud and clear.

"Good, now it's time to name you", the Alpha smiled suprising the lad. Zero nodded and steered at the ground gripping the short tightly. "You were called Zero cause you lack agility but I see something hidden behind that innocent face Zero", Zero raises his head conflicted Bd aterred at the Alpha trying not loose eye contact.

Chris chuckled again and said,

"you are not weak Zero, you are a demon yourself and since am naming you, I give you the name Damon, from today that is your name, You will carry my surname along with your name and nothing else, you are not a slave but my brother, my brother!", Christopher nodded patting the newly named boy's head.

Zero smiled at himself and pushed the alpha's hand off his head. He chuckled lightly and a grin made way to his face.

"So now am Christopher Quinn's younger brother", the boy stated with a loud chuckle.

"Indeed you are Zero, I mean Damon... You're Damon Quinn, next alpha in line, I adopted you", the alpha grinned hugging the boy.

Damon Quinn.... a new name and new chapter to the lycan and demon's world. Zero Damon Quinn suited him better than just Damon Quinn, he was going to prove he wasn't a Zero but the name would always serve as a nickname and his identity. Christopher hugged him tightly and kissed his forehead how he had prayed to have a younger brother.
