Chapter 45 - Insights of Professor Xavier

At Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Professor Charles Xavier was reflecting on the comics he had recently browsed. His thoughts were interrupted by his encounter with two new comic magazines that Qin had brought.

One of the comics captured his attention with its intriguing setting. It featured Kurosaki, a high school student who, since childhood, has had the ability to see souls. His world changed when he met Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami from the Soul Society, who had come to Karakura Town to combat evil spirits.

Their first encounter involved Rukia using advanced spells known as Kidō, unique to Shinigami. The story evolved as Rukia found herself battling an evil spirit, which turned out to be more monstrous than expected. To protect his family, Kurosaki took on Rukia's role as a Shinigami, wielding a large sword to fight the spirits.

As Professor Charles closed the magazine, he reflected on the comic's elements. It was not as emotionally stirring as Naruto, nor as thought-provoking as Tokyo Ghoul or Attack on Titan. However, it had its own charm, reminiscent of One Punch Man with its blend of wild and uninhibited storytelling and a compelling spiritual theme.

Charles then picked up another comic, Friends Manke, featuring a white and blue cat. He observed that, while the story lacked the dramatic flair of other comics, it was deeply educational. The plot revolved around Nobita's struggles with his memory and the high-tech adventures that followed, underscoring themes of happiness and educational principles.

"This comic can accompany children through their formative years," Charles mused, feeling a wave of inspiration. He decided to order ten more copies of Doraemon for the school, particularly for Jenny, the youngest student.

As Qin read through the comics, Charles continued his analysis. He found Terminator less impressive. The story, set in a future world controlled by robots, featured a battle between humans and machines. Although the time-traveling elements and the conflict were familiar, Charles found the comic to be somewhat ordinary compared to Xu Mo's other works.

Charles sighed, feeling that Terminator didn't stand out. Little did he know that Xu Mo, working from Hell's Kitchen, would have found his thoughts amusing. Terminator was based on a famous American film series known for its individual heroism and special effects. In the world of comics, especially with the Marvel Universe's current focus on science fiction, it seemed less remarkable.

Xu Mo's goal with this comic was not to gain fan value but to draw inspiration from its elements. He was now focusing on a new round of creative brainstorming, preparing to incorporate fresh ideas into his work.
